Title: [Ponzi scheme] usdt-staking.cc - A lazy attempt to scam
Post by: logfiles on March 22, 2025, 11:39:49 PM
What happened: User @USDT Staking was attempting to advertise his Ponzi scheme on the trading discussion board by pretending to be asking options through polls

Additional Notes:
A scheme making a guaranteed 20% profit per day of one's deposit is unsustainable and should be avoided

i supported the flag, although i don't think it matters as they will just make a new account to promote it again.
and since the forum doesn't moderate scams, reporting the post for spam is a better way to deal with this than a flag or tagging the account.

This is an old method. Some people even pretend to be victims and post links to Ponzi scam sites and try to get users on their websites. At first, they post as if they are getting scammed and then they post like they got paid so people get interested to check the website. It is good that you spotted this guy promoting his platform here.

A 20% per day is 100% scam. I wasted a lot of money at the beginning of my crypto journey. But I have learned a lot since then. Never ever fall for something that sounds too good to be true.

I figured that they would just delete the post and not nuke the account, which seems to have happened. So it's likely the account might post again in another board sometime in the future or resort to sending links via PM to some unsuspecting members, hence the tags and flag for future reference.
Otherwise, thanks for reposting

Hey mate, thanks for sharing that Ponzi with us. Tagged that user and supported the flag you raised from my end. Those who are well experienced with crypto might not fall into this type of scam. I am worried about innocent greedy users; they might trust them or try their luck by investing in such a well-known Ponzi scheme. That's why we need to prevent those scams from the forum.

I am not sure if there are still people who think money could be generated overnight. Otherwise, how might they return such an amount from the investment?  Once upon a time, Ponzi was popular, and people tried to gamble on Ponzi, though they knew it was a scam.  That time earlier, people got some profits, and late investors got scammed.  It's time to prevent them since most of the forum users know very well about this scam.
