see as ehh dey real like email coming from CoinBase, and  they wey the email address dey ehh go make you believe say now from CoinBase, because the email end with CoinBase.com why now fake email from scammers. See CoinBase email address support@coinbase.com.
My advice now try dey confirm any email wey you receive from any exchange or from anything at all before you take action, because scammers get many way to use scam people online.

I can remember back then when I encounter something of this kind which I fell victim, but my own no for crypto now for one platform wey i be dey do small small investment, one day I come receive email wey say make I click to confirm the action say my investment go double in next two hours so as I click an I come wait for 3 hours when I come go back to the platform I no fit access an again till today my money don go no trays.

Most time I do see random different types of email been sent by different user and I am at alert mode when receiving any type unsolicated emails and verifying the authenticity of messages which can help prevent falling victim to this scammers.

I nor wan hear sey somebody hack the app and na phishing update I get. These things nor too hard to avoid if we nor loose guard at all.

There are many ways scammers are using to carry out their ridiculous activities and they will keep on investing ways to do so, they are so much that maybe you can not keep track of all of them. All you need to is do as much as possible to secure and protect yourself from them.
One good way is setting up 2FA and other thing you should note is not clicking any link you aren't aware of or have no knowledge of, don't keep your funds on an exchange. You can search through for other but this one can help you significantly I will also add the use of cold storage wallet.

If i had known from start, i wouldn't have added any of my exchange email to any other site or platform, that would have been kept discrete, when you preserve your Emails from both known and unknown sites then you become less visible to scammers, just a mistake i should have corrected from the start.

Ever since I found out sae scammers done full ground for crypto space and they are getting wiser these days, I d now find am difficult to take any action sent to my email by any platform, not to talk of any crypto exchange, unless it is confirmation of any crypto transaction I am carry out at that time. Any other information I am being asked to do for my email, I d look am somehow because I d make sure my crypto exchange app d updated each time I am requested to do that. Any action that needs to be taken, I go get the notification for my crypto exchange and email. Only email notification alone, no d enough to convince me.

Normally, the notifications wey I dey receive from my exchanges nah only deposits and withdrawals. And so far I never receive any email from a scammer disguising as my exchange. I know say most times these scammers dey send batch emails and some of their targets no really get accounts with the exchange but them go just send am hoping say person go fall prey. But one way to avoid their scams nah to avoid clicking the link attached to the mail. Merely looking at some of the mail, you go fit tell say nah scam but if you must act on the content of the mail, e dey very good to contact support first first to verify before anything.

please note am not the original poster of this update I saw this post  on beginners and help board and I decided to attached it to this my thread to prove to you guys that scammers are using email address that looks like the one of coinbase to scam people, since me and the poster was almost sharing similar update please be guided and don't fall to this kind of scam.

Scams don full everywhere that’s why e better make you shine your eye always and make you know how to dey position wey no go make you fall for any scam no matter how dem take package am come for you to make you fall victim for the thing. When emails like this are received, e go better make we dey try check the source and confirming say na from the email address we dey take receive notification earlier from the same platform, if not e go better make person no go click am come fall victim for this people hand. In a bid to respond to email like that wey dem prompt us to do something, e go better make we no even try am as we no request for such or expecting any message from our email.

Omo eh this phishing websites or email scam dey very hard to detect because e look very convincing say e from the correct address, as scam don full everywhere now e no dey easy to know the fake and the real because these scammers are very smart in their field and it takes a smarter person to escape their trap. Make we just shine our eyes and always be alert and on the lookout for any inconveniences, but you sef @OP shebi na greed make you go click on that link wey tell you say your money go double, because how you think say something like that go dey possible without few hours.

For me wey know say how important my email account is to me and the many crypto and monetary accounts wey I link to am, I dey always dey careful about any kind of email I receive. I never confirm the authenticity of an email message, I don't reply to such email because I know that a little mistake from me can leave the security of my email vulnerable for scammers to attack and use the informations there to scam me of my assets. Na true you talk I don read about this coinbase of a thing for the general discussion few weeks back and e dey very bad say we no fit detect am on time and we go fall mugu onto say we dey try to be smart come fall inside holes again. Natural coinbase no fit send that kind messages to their users knowing too well say them  no dey give seedphrase to people instead scammers using that strategies to scam people and if you no smart enough na so people go just lose their hand earned money just like that.

It’s very important we should be very careful and cautious of this scammers who sends random emails looking for who to scam, we don’t even have to pay attention much attention to this message this platforms should also try and restrict this scammers by protecting their platforms. But since this platform aren’t ready to do so, as an individual we should be more concerned of our online security. We just have to use a stronger password to protect our emails and Platforms and site access.
