No society will grow or develop when the leaders or government aren't doing their job right. Many failed society was colb as the result bad form of government projected powers and administrative costs. Many Africa leaders are fixed or low in development priorities or even society. When leaders fails in their capacity to build expected society it cause such societal  crime and poverty-stricken members.
 This also can lead to poor standard of living, bad government ruins the beauty of progressive society and create unemployment, bad government detorate peace and escalate hunger, theft, insecurities and cyber crime to the youth as only give choices where a failed leader is the head.

I believe whoever is the leader, reflects what the citizens does. So, if the citizens doesn't respect the leader then it shows on what they can do badly to other people. So, when crimes are rampant, then it means that there is no government working in that area and that's why the presence should be felt by its people for them to give them respect and avoid doing these crimes because they've got their uttermost respect for who stands in front of them. This is the bad time when the society thinks that there is no more hope left for those countries that have ugly regime because the leaders there have set a standard on how to become corrupt and shows no hope that the mere people can't do anything against them.

its not just who is leading government, but also how government is set up

sometimes a one level national government that controls all aspects of public service, social security and law enforcement can loose sight of the local issues as they are too busy managing national issues, or too corrupt to care, leaving locals stranded and alone. this is where governments should become layered with a local town area's government that control the budget of local town/area's needs, such as the towns police force and emergency services.
this not only means local issues are managed, but should a local government be corrupt the people have the next level up to speak their grievances to, whom can change or punish the local government to get in-line with the national policy of looking after the local population

after all if you have just one layer of government, whom do you complain to, to redress your grievances. whom is going to stop them

the best way is having a layered government is that prevents any single person having ultimate unstoppable power, by having checks and balances top down and bottom up, keeping each other inline with the policy/pledges of the representatives of government which get voted in, where people can petition at any level to get the other level to be pushed into a re-election should they not conform to best practices of looking after the people they represent

Any countries of the world you see corruption, you will surely see poor societies in that country because some of the things the government suppose be giving out to develop the country they will be using the money for their personal project. When people elected bad leaders in the position, they will surely experience poor development because all those leaders will not know what to do to bring out the country for inflation because they don't have the knowledge on how to improve the country.

Where democracy is working, such bad leaders will be remove when another election come because that is the best way to pay bad leaders back for up coming bad leaders to change their minds not to be a bad leaders to the country.

there are different kinds of government but democracy is a very common form of governance wherein the citizens have the right to vote for the kinds of leaders they want to have and i believe that voting for the right people to lead the country is a cross we have to bear because if we make a mistake and we fall for propaganda and misinformation we will also be the ones to suffer at the end

Who are these leaders? They are still the members of the society. I am one of those who believe that the governing style of the political leaders in a particular society reflects the lifestyle of the people in that society. When people complain that the government is bad and that there are no jobs and basic amenities, what different things do the people do about such situations to force the leaders to become accountable? Nothing, rather they all want to show fake support just for personal and selfish gains.

That is the reason why they keep making the same mistake every electoral period. Trust me, even if the least citizen in such a society is given the opportunity to lead, he too will behave like the bad leaders. The reason is because everyone is corrupt and for such reasons, the poor masses will keep suffering.

This is the result of people who think their only responsibility of governance is to cast a vote once a year. When government fails, it is each individual's responsibility to fix what is wrong with society. Helping other people is a deep virtue, built on many others. One needs to think about how society should work from fundamental philosophies of life at some point in their life or they are not really going to be aware of many problems with society, giving them no chance at fixing something they don't know is wrong.

The problems run deep. People have built governments on corrupt foundations, so the result is a corrupt government. The most basic concept of equal rights is suddenly thrown out the window when a government is involved. Governments are given blank checks to lie, cheat, steal, and kill. And, they do.

Government constitutions are outright missing major respect of human rights as well. For example, which bill of rights in any world power constitution protects basic property rights to humans? The right to control one's own body, for example against mandatory human health dictates to for example eat certain foods, is lacking. The closest thing is law against slavery, but even in the USA, that doesn't apply to prisoners. Prisoners can literally be slaves according to a literal reading of the USA constitution. Europe has made free speech overtly illegal with its laws against controversial speech topics.

We don't have basic respect for human rights by any organization of many people claiming to be a government. So of course things are going badly in a number of ways.

But if our leaders should failed us, we shouldn't also fail ourself, we have to stand on our feet and make our voice heard, we also need to make it all of our own self and be less dependent of them, when we know our right, then we are going to take up the challenge and fight on our own in getting what we want without having to depend on anyone to do that for us, if the governance is bad, we should not remain being poor because that is not enough reason for us to be.

When a bad government takes charge of a nation, its citizens are the ones it deeply affects because their future is no longer secure for them for a better living.

You will see a high rise of bad governance in the country that the whole citizens of the country will be crying bitterly to, of the country moving backward instead of forward in infrastructure development, job creation, employment rate, technological advancement, rule of law, agricultural development, regard for human lives, and cutting down the high cost of tariffs. The only thing they will focus on is packing money for themselves in outside countries, living a luxurious life and buying properties

These are the conditions of many countries that are classified as third-world countries; it's hard to make progress if corruption is embedded in the culture of the people, the leaders do not allow free speech, and they oblige their people to just accept what the government will give them.
Another thing is political bickering and the unstable political situation. An unstable political situation involves killing and spreading fake news, and this is exactly what's happening in my country.

Before we talk about securing a future, let's talk about surviving the present. Currently, some African countries are struggling due to bad leadership and wi corruption. Human rights are limited, and you can't even speak freely. To survive every day is a struggle, and people are no longer thinking about the future; they're thinking about how to make it past the day.

The government of the country does have a major part to play in moving the country forward. With the way some of the African countries are going, they're moving from developing countries to underdeveloped countries because they're retrogressing instead of progressing. It's really sad.

I just pray that it gets better with time, and I pray that the democracy some African countries practice doesn't eventually turn to military rule. The democracy is currently being hijacked from the people; people don't have a say anymore. It's scary.

My biggest problem now in my country is insecurity. I don't need to migrate to any developed country to live a good life. Living in my country is sweet if you have money. Thankfully the cost of living is very low. If you can have a high paying job or profitable business in my country you will live a good life. We don't work like machines in my country.

The only reason why some people are leaving my country is insecurity, such as kidnapping, ritual killing, and religious and tribal conflicts. If the government can guarantee the security of life and properties, businesses will flourish, and investors will invest in the country.

Cyber crime is a global threat. I can conclude that almost all countries suffer the same kind of cyberattacks. That is why citizens should learn about these attacks and devise means of protecting themselves.

You are correct but some times let's also talk about the citizens too, are they doing anything not to be a part of corruption in the country? The responsibility of building a better and progressive country shouldn't only soley rest on the shoulders of the leaders, as citizens we have vital roles to play to implement positive changes in the country. During elections we as citizens are the ones in charge of choosing a better leader but the gullible ones are being used to rig election results and then giving power to the wrong leader in exchange of little Pocket money, participating positively during elections without selling our votes can bring an end to bad governance and poor society.

The government can easily reduce the rate of corruption than the citizens, because the government will enforce the law and anyone that voilates the law will go in for it. That will make citizens sit up and avoid some criminal activities. However, if the government is corrupt, the judiciary will be weak. People will be above the law and the poor will be oppressed for easy manipulation.

It is very natural that if the leader of a party is incompetent then that party cannot be established in any way. Similarly, if the government of a country is incompetent then due to lack of good planning, lack of efficiency, failure to maintain good relations in foreign markets, lack of communication with neighboring countries, that country gradually goes to such a stage that the people of that country reach the extreme level of terrorism, anarchy and poverty. This may be observed in African countries where most people live below the poverty line and it is not easy to change their situation.

Certainly if a government is bad then definitely it is going to produce bad society. Bad society is not just about bad roads or no infrastural development, it encompasses bad morals and behavior especially with the youths which forms majority of the popular. Bad morals includes illegal dealings, taking of hard substance, disrespect to the elders and constituted authorities leading to collapse of law and order.

Government that is bad is usually deep in corruption and that is why they don't utilize funds for what it is suppose to be used for. Therefore, a government that isn't progressive is retrogressive and that will after the manufacturing and industrial sector of the economy causing unemployment, low self-esteem and low standard of living, political and civil unrest and won't attract foreign investment because investors will be scared to put their money in an economy that lacks the economic indices to grow.

The African society needs to build stronger institutions, the reason why there have been persistent leaders who are not interested in developing the African society is because the institutions are weak, from the judiciary, the legislation, security and executive are all weak and that's why past leaders can easily go away with their wrong deeds while passing the same message to their successor's, if people are held accountable for their stewardship while in office, certainly they will be cautious while delivering their services. The society you see today that are develop did not get leaders from the sky, it was conscious effort by citizens to make sure that those institutions makes everybody to account for every penny spent, and at the end of the day you see a society develop to enviable height, else you will end up building strong individuals instead of strong institutions.

Yes, you are right, the responsibility of looking after the good and bad aspects of a country is given to leaders and government employees. Leaders are appointed to various responsibilities for the development of a country. Leaders are created to serve the common people of the country. Therefore, all kinds of help and relief come to the leaders through the government. But corrupt leaders embezzle all that. As a result, unemployment is increasing in the country. Corruption is increasing in the country. As long as the common people stand against all the leaders, the social system of any country will not be right.

Some times I do ask my self what will take from the government to do right things because I know it won't take anything and it won't cost anything. If a leader decides to the right thing it is even for his own good because it won't be forgotten and the people will always give respect to such leader. Leaders can still be good and get what they want from government.  The resources are their for leaders to do needful but it so difficult for them.

Most of them have outlived their useful years on earth and just want to make a name for themselves and are never after the welfare of the people. To most of them, it is about becoming the president or governor of a nation or state before they grow old, and they are ready to do everything possible to get that power even without planning out how to use that office for the good of the people they are governing.

All the resource of a nation lies in the hands of her leader. If the leader knows how best to utilize it for the good of the people, the people rejoice, but if he is one that lacks such knowledge, then the fate of the governed becomes like what is now happening in most African countries where leaders are just clueless on what real governance demands of them as leaders of nation. no nation can get things right when it is governed by bad leaders.

Bad governance is like a virus to a system.
It makes the society poor in some ways.
Weak institutions which result in poverty, corruption, misappropriation of funds, lack of transparency, and  inequality.
When leaders are just after personal gain over public welfare like in my own country. it is obvious that important services like healthcare, security,  education and other infrastructure will definitely depreciate.

This also results to instability in the society due to high unemployment, and social decay. The system can not be trusted by the people.
Increase in crime rates due to lack of opportunities so people are frustrated.

But fairness, development, and a better quality of life is enhanced by good governance.

Very beautifully said, if the government of a country does not work for the benefit of the people of that country, then that country will never get the touch of development. The government of a country is the soul of a country, if it wants to run the country well, it can definitely do it and if it does not want to run the country well, then that country will never be run well. Therefore, the government of a country must have justice, fairness, and everything, only then the country will run well. The number of unemployment in the country increases and the country is headed towards destruction because of the government of a country, so the government of a country must be good, otherwise that country will never progress.

Poor governance can lead to conflict and situation where the citizens will lose faith in the government providing security and good services, a selfish leader who is corrupted, full of bribery can hinder the country's resources and economic Growth.
A bad government can lead to under development, poverty, crisis, inflation, irresponsible spending, and not having efficient investments can hinder economic growth and standards of living. There is a saying which goes: people deserve the government they got.

It is true a bad government, one crippled by corruption and bad practices is never going to push a nation towards development and improvements of the quality of life for their citizens. Though, on the other hand, those who are in power and are pretty much crooks continue to be there because the people allows them to.
My country, Venezuela, is a good example of it, we decided to give a socialist party the change the country and all ended up bad for our economy and our personal and political freedom.

If people and their culture tolerate corruption and bad governance, then the problems of bad governance will be perpetual and there will be no light at the end of the tunnel. It may sound sad, but it is how it works in the end.

Those were the words spoken by Senegalese President ‘Bassirou Diomaye Faye’ in one of his speeches, a speech that has a deep meaning about integrity, and the moral responsibility of an official towards the country and its people.

He emphasised that a leader or state official is not a figure to be worshipped, but a public servant whose duty and function is to work for the benefit of the wider community, not for himself or a group of people. and he also reminded that all policies and decisions issued by the government must be based on the welfare and interests of the wider community, not just for personal gain and self-enrichment, because everything done by the current government and all policies issued will have a major impact on future generations.

And I hope what he said is not just empty talk, because corruption is not only detrimental to the state, but also to society. Because if this is truly realised, where the government has strong integrity, is clean, honest, fair and just in carrying out its duties and in making a policy, yes, the community will get its welfare.

No matter what the government is trying to do for the development of the country or nation, the virus will not allow the development to stand because that is the major challenge many countries are facing in their various countries in the world. Every government that is experiencing this virus called corruption is the major thing that is causing poverty in such societies, and many governments are very comfortable with it because their leaders are benefiting from it and they will not do anything that will eliminate the virus.

Partly to blame for this are the citizens who keep voting corrupt people into the government; they are getting bad governance because they are not changing the way they vote; many of these voters still vote based on their candidates popularity and how these candidates gave them money during the election, not knowing that it's their own money that these politicians are giving.
For a country to move and escape the virus of bad governance, there should be widespread education on who they need to vote; by placing the right people in the government, they have chosen the way good governance that will lead to economic growth

The policies of a bad government has a way of affecting the efforts of the citizens that they can't really find growth under those bad policies because these are laws that guides and regulates their activities in the country. You could be striving three times harder and earning below 1 quarter as profit.
In the case that the citizens may want to revolt it could lead to significant crisis, and with the government having and controlling all the instruments of violence in the country they will always find a way to gag or subdue any form of uproar thereby creating fears towards any future revolt attempts. It's democracy in paper but autocracy in reality . That's how many governments now operates.

That's the society we found ourselves those of us from Africa, our government are very wicked and selfish,  in Nigeria the government are about to pass a cybercrime act where no citizens should be allowed to grant press or post any negative things about the government, no citizens has right to comment or post online about the government of the day. After stealing our common wealth they still want to steal our voice.  We're living in evil world.

An economy is a reflection of the type of leaders that manages it, good economy means good leadership while a bad economy means bad leadership. The problem with most countries that are not moving forward is because they have backward leaders that don't have any business being in power. They're more interested in enriching themselves and stealing more while their citizens suffer and try to migrate to countries who have proactive leaders. Citizens in these countries must work extra hard to survive compared to the ones in vibrant economies and that is why the rate of crime is always higher in poor economies.

If the country is a democratic type of government, then the people will be the ones that will choose the fate of their nation by picking the right or wrong people to manage their economy through voting, so if the people are not educated on the right way to choose people to run their government, then bad governance happens.
We always deserve the kind of leaders that we want to run our country; people should vote wisely and use their conscience because their fate and their children's fate are in their hands.

The government should pay special attention to social crimes and implement efficient forces and the judiciary to control crime so that the peace and security of the country is maintained. That is, not only Africa, but also the responsibility of the government is essential for the development of any country. If the government takes all steps for the development of the country with a strong hand, then the development of that country and the welfare of its people are ensured.

This is when the electoral process of the country isn't corrupt and faulty. A highly bad and corrupt leader sometimes know how to manipulate things during election to get back into the system.

When corruption is everywhere in a country, the government in that country cannot remain free of corruption even if it wants to. It is not possible for the government alone to consider or control the overall situation of a country; therefore, the law and order or legal department of the country must be free from corruption. No matter how corruption-free the electoral system is, if the government is not elected and is not a corruption-free government, it will never be possible to develop a good economy in that country.

The candidates elected by the people are always good but now in the country the people elected by the people cannot form the government because those who have power try to surround themselves with power again to stay in power. Now people can no longer elect candidates by voting, the candidates are being elected by their power. If an elected candidate is the government, the country moves forward in various ways, moreover, if an educated person can be engaged in the service of the country, he will always do good for the country. Therefore, to take the country to the peak of development, the government of the country must be right. If the government of the country is right, the country will be run properly.

A qualified candidate must always be elected to run a country. There are many leaders who cannot do anything good for their people. Due to which the people of that country often go in the wrong direction. In the absence of a qualified leader, people get involved in theft, robbery, harassment and many other types of crimes. And only a qualified leader can make a country a peaceful country from all these. A country progresses because of a qualified leader. On the other hand, a country always lags behind because of an incompetent leader. If any injustice starts in the country, if it is not stopped immediately, the general public gets more opportunities.

Yes, a country's economy is bad because of an incompetent ruler. We all know that a ruler is the root of a country. There are many countries which, despite being small countries, their economy is not in such a bad position. Because the rulers of those countries know that if they want to strengthen their economy, they have to create wealth in their country. No one will be unemployed in the country. Jobs or businesses have to be arranged for everyone.

So we can definitely say that bad governance of a country is responsible for the creation of a poor society.

A country that has a bad government is doomed for failure. The country's economy and the youths of that country feel it the most because nothing good comes out from that country that will benefit and boost the economy of that same country. No private firm investors would like to step their foot on the soil of a country that has a bad government. Those that are there, will like to move out to another country where a better government rules.

My case study is African countries that have more bad leaders as rulers. They are so corrupt and inhumane to the cry of those they rule. All they are really interested in is accumulating wealth and keeping it for their unborn kids, I am sure they won't see all.

When there's bad and corrupt leaders then the society in general will be bad, a lot of the problems we are facing in our societies today are because of bad government and poor leadership, in Africa where I'm from a lot of our leaders are so corrupt that they enjoy when the masses are crying for hunger, bad road, poor educational system, poor electric supply and I ask my self what is the joy in making people suffer, what is so hard in making the society a good place for your people and generation to come.
We can't also put all the blames to government the citizens also have a role to play in making the society better, each individual has his or her own part to play in making sure the society is a better place, here in Africa citizens frustrates government effort in making the society better by not giving there support and damaging infrastructures built by government because of little misunderstanding and some citizens also collect bribe from those bad leaders and support them and when they start suffering they start crying, I see no reason why someone will become a leader just to suffer his followers and I will always say that if the citizens say they want to end bad government they will.

Well, I agree we have to be our own leader and that starts at home. I don't have a background about the current UK prime minister and how it's doing with its citizen. But I guess that most nations have its pros and cons, developing and first world countries. There's always something wrong with the leadership that citizens will not like and there are the others that are satisfied with that so, yeah... we can be our own leader and set standards for ourselves.

I believe in you , when there are bad governors definitely they will be economical failure in the Country or state, because they are the manpower and success of the nation. But still sometimes I do blame ourselves by not voting for the right candidate that will lead them, whenever the time of election comes they are always deceived by the little change they will get and they don't know that collecting such token will only last for some hours and after that they will go back to the normal hard life they are living , and suffer for the next 4 to 8 years that will come just for the little tokens of change they receive. So I advised we should always think twice before casting our vote for who will become our leader in the country. And that will ease the affairs of huger, insecurity, sufferness and hardship in such Country.

Yes, it is true, bad governance diminish the society quickly than we care to know about, a society where politicians are being elected into office against the will/vote of the people won’t work in one accord with the people, bad leadership in Africa has made it seem like you shouldn’t be able to afford certain things in your 20’s but it’s not so in the western world, bad governance creates a hungry and desperate citizens who would do anything for a loaf of bread and that’s why you still see them having supporters despite the poverty in the society today..
Good morals now look odd while bad morals now look like the norms in the name of hunting money for survival.

While we talk about bad governance and how it has rampage the supposed progressive fabrics of society towards making life better and comfortable by providing the necessary amenities and infrastructures that drives development in the society. We should also consider criticizing the citizens for only seating back to complain about bad governance without revolting in unity against it. I see this in many African countries where the citizens just complain but don't want to act out of fear, and that's bad because complains won't change a thing.

You are right, in fact, for a country to run well, the provisions of its constitution must be implemented correctly, in which case it is very important to have a corruption-free rule of law, improve the quality of the education system, equal rights for all, and accountability of the government of that country to the people.
Along with this, the government of that country must be the right guide of the economic system. It must ensure that the money used for the development of a country is being used properly.
When it is seen that the government of a country is corrupt, then surely that country will lag far behind in terms of development, as happened with a country in South Asia.

What are we saying here? Common mate! There is no bad government or leadership without bad followers. Government did not just evolve on it own, it was the people that form the government. When the system is operating in a negative direction, check people around the system. What I'm trying to say is this, we keep complaining of bad governance or leadership but at the same time we keep voting for them during elections to retain their power to continue their destruction. Especially here in Africa, the citizens prioritise short time benefits they gain from politician over the long time development they could gain if they vote for the right person. When discussing about the inability of a society to develop, include the people as well as they contribute to the backward development, not only the government should take the whole blame.

Of course, no society will develop if the government does not do the right thing, especially if the government does not keep its promises and provide job opportunities for young people. But are we not the government that will continue to blame those in that position? We see the behavior of those who are in that position, and we fail to do the right thing even when we have the power to make change. We always say that we would vote for the right person during the election, but when it comes time, we sell our rights for peanuts.

However, politics has turned into a game where all that matters is their benefit instead of the needs of the people who voted for them, because all of them hardly keep their promises and, when they do get the position, turn their backs on us. In my country, we no longer rely on the government to do what is best for us since they are all liars who only care about themselves.

When there is no infrastructure as to enable the youths become useful to the society the reverse is the case of that society

This is exactly how things ought to be in an organised society, but there are also societies that has multiple layered government but still corruption hasn't allowed them to function effectively thus the purpose of having this multiple layered government was been defeated. You still have the person who is is at the central government controlling the other layers of government by making sure that it is only his structures (Loyalists )that fills up all the elective positions in the other layers of government.

Things like this are common in Africa which is which happens to be my continent. No matter how many layers of government that are there in a society, it doesn't guarantee that the system will be better. It just have to do with good governance, even if it's one layer of government that is in place, provided they have the interest of people at heart, things will work out very well. But once the government is bad, it doesn't matter how many layers of government that is in place, things will still go bad and the society will continue to decay.

Despite having adequate resources and economic capacity, countries cannot develop due to corruption. An inefficient and corrupt government becomes a threat to the entire country and the nation. These governments are not very concerned about the employment of their country, they only feel more comfortable doing those things that can steal money. When other countries of the world move forward, these governments try to keep the country in more poverty with their wrongdoings. Some governments think that the more educated and economically prosperous the youth will be, the harder it will be for them to commit corruption. That is why they themselves do not want the development of their country.

To get a good leadership, it is necessary to create awareness among the common people of that country, especially the youth. If the youth are aware, then they will get a competent leader. But if they bring inefficient leadership for temporary gain or personal gain, they will have to pay for it later.

Bad governance will definitely lead to a poor society or a failed system. When you say a government is bad, it simply means they are corrupt and not able to do their jobs as a leader. When a government is corrupt,  you don't expect such society to develop,  because they are more interested in enriching themselves rather than trying to make the life of the citizens better. There will definitely be issue of unemployment,  which will definitely lead to poverty,  crime and insecurity in such society.  It will also affect the development of such society when citizens that are of the age to work and qualified for a job don't have one. For a country to develop the government has a lot of role to play and one is their integrity which is very important for every good leader.

There is an adage that says, when the righteous rule the people rejoice, a nation is bound to fail if the leaders of that country are corrupt.Bad governance is a menace to the development of a country and there are so many problems and setbacks that bad governance can cause.
When the leadership of a country is bad, development and empowerment is highly retarded, and it can bring about hunger and hardship thereby pushing young people into committing crime in other to survive.

God has blessed every country with means of survival, but because of bad leaders who does not have the interest of the people at heart, they prefer their followers to suffer hardship while they cart away with the people's wealth for their own selfish interest, you see these leaders carrying their countries money to go and develop other countries.This is pure wickedness and inhumanity to mankind.

As a leader, your topmost concern should be the interest of the masses, their problem should be your problem, ensure you do what the citizens want and not what you want, and if you must take decision on your own, let that decision be favourable to the citizens otherwise, you are denting your own image and reputation before the people.

It's a fact mate, when a government fail to play it's role well it would always lead to chaos, look around the globe for countries where the government failed it citizens you'll see how messed up they're Nepal is an example and it got to a point that the citizens had to stand up for their right. I live in a society with bad and corrupt government and I can testify to everything you've said, it's so frustrating for some citizens and I hope that one day people over here would wake up from their slumber and kick against the evil leaders in my country.

Of course  bad government will give birth to revolts, even when the people keeps enduring, it will reach a time when they will not want to take some shit anymore from the government, the example you gave is acurate and this will continue in some place where the government thinks they only pattern that can be applied in governance is stilling public money to make their family comfortable and frustrate the citizen by taxing them to stupor and making them to become more poorer, of course everyone will wake here some day to speak out because it is only when you speak out with one voice that the government will know that people can actually stand for their right.

Bad governance destroys opportunities and discourages growth. When power is misused, society suffers from it a lot, people suffer from poverty, crime and instability. The solution to this is breed new and responsible governance because true leadership prioritizes the people’s welfare and encourage transparency and create a system that promote peace and provide more employment for the youths and this helps with the society development.

We are now in a society where youths take from others to feed, build, buy cars and live a luxury life. In as much as we want to put the blame on them we should also remember what many of them have faced due to unemployment and poverty, the leaders have made the place so unbearable for us due to their selfishness, corruption and insatiable hunger for more wealth. They think about themselves and their families alone, not considering the lives of many unemployed youths some who have dedicated years of their lives to studying and graduate just to go back to the streets, our leaders needs to step up their games cause soon these youths will come for them.

A bad government will lead to a corrupt society. We don't have to paint a red uniform white because that white colour will never last long. If the government is bad and the people is not ready to do something to kick the bad government away, this would cause a serious problem that will lead to so many failures in the society. If there is no adequate jobs available, this will make the people to think of alternative ways to feed themselves and take care of their needs through dubious means.

As a good citizen of Nigeria, can you please tell me the areas citizens should be criticized on the underdevelopment of our fathers land Nigeria. Apart from talking about other African countries we know nothing about, let us concentrate on where we know more about it, what have the government done to rampage the situation that the citizens failed to capitalize on for a better life and they choose to destroy the already existing structure. Ranging from education, to graduate in Nigerians universities know matter how educated you are you must spend money to enable you graduate in flying colours or is it in infrastructural development or which sector please explain.

If a society lacks good of governance, there’s no way that the society can develop, and that’s what damages the society, which even leads the youth of the society to commit crimes. Because their government is supposed take care of them and make sure everyone in the society is doing well, but they will be the ones creating what will damage the society.

Yes, these are the kinds of things that make the youths in the society do whatever they like by committing what is not right to the society. Because some of them are graduates, and instead of the government creating job opportunities for them, they won’t, and they’re expecting a community to remain in peace. I think it won’t be possible.

I assume you read my comment before replying to it, so i believe you may have come across where I said about the citizens uniting to revolt against bad governance. Poor society is as a result of bad government. Bad government causes underdevelopment in a society. The reason for this poor society could be anchored on poor policies and management strategies within the arms of the government.

You are right in your comment Lida93, in other to make a change in a very corrupt country or nation one has to take a very hard step, if the citizens of a corrupt country where the leaders are not doing what they are supposed to do fold their hands and complain they will never get any good result from that, the only way to change a bad government is by revolting against bad governance, there was a time when Ghana decided to stop bad governance in their country and what they did was to start killing bad leaders in their country and after that was done Ghana started progressing, if you check the protest that happened in Nepal you will know that is only the way to end bad governance, the protest was so massive that the corrupt politicians all ran away from the country and the citizen installed a leader that they wanted this is what a nation should do if the bad governance in the nation is becoming too much a peaceful protest can never change a bad governance.

When attempting to end bad government it should be aura for aura, that's how the citizens can get good results, bad and corrupt politicians don't understand the language of peaceful protest and they wouldn't take the people seriously with their demands. I have witnessed it and recently was in  October 2020 and in August 2024, tagged #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria. After that protest nothing seem to have changed, I mean it even got worsen. One thing I know is that power isn't given, it's taken.

Bad government definitely breeds bad society, Its like they both work hands in hand and cannot be separated. Bad governance is rooted in corruption and once the government is corrupt it will definitely affect the society,  because the government will be more interested in enriching themselves rather than improving the society. When are society is not developed,  there will be no jobs and a lot of things will not be working properly in the society.  Most of the citizens will definitely engage in crime to survive and these crimes will definitely affect the society. A society with bad government will definitely suffer things such as corruption,  insecurities,  lack of employment,  bad judiciary,  lack of good policies etc. When this things are in a society,  the society can be qualified as a bad society and it will be very difficult for such society to develop.

If there is a bad government, a nation will definitely become poor. If I talk about my country then last year a dictatorial government was taken down from our country by protesting. When she was in power, billions of dollars were smuggled abroad from our country.As a result the per capita debt of our people has increased a lot.

But now, with the coming of the interim government, the country's economy has relaxed to some extent. I strongly think, the people should have to think 10 times before voting in the government elections. Before the elections, everyone talks sweetly but. After the elections, most of the parties get busy looting.

First and foremost we should understand that what brings about poverty in many nation is as a result of poor economic planing and mismanagement of nations assets by the leaders of this those countries that are victims of the aforementioned, when some leaders concentrate more on borrowing to finance their budget instead of trying to figure out means creating revenue generating ways or going into production of something that will be needed by other countries so that they can fincae their own budget thereby strengthening there nations economy and also creating soft loans for small scale businesses to grow as so doing, this will boast the economy, construction of roads, hospital, electric and drilling of good water for drinking, this type of economy will on its own attract investors and unemployment will be reduced.

People who are not afraid of condemnation, and can control hundreds of people, whether through respect, money or fear, come into politics. When these people become leaders or heads of government, they will think about their own development, they have no time to think about society. In most developing and underdeveloped countries, there is no development of the poor society due to this problem.

Bad leaders are mainly responsible for the development of the society and as a result, social problems are increasing. When leaders fail or do not perform their duties properly, the entire country and society suffer. Bad leadership has nothing good to offer. Bad leaders are selfish and development destroyers. One strategy they use is to keep the majority dependent and continue to offer disgusting services in the name helping the people when the problem like unemployment is as a result of their bad economic strategies.
Like in some African countries as you mentioned, keeping the masses ignorant is a common strategy. Not saying and staying for the simple truth is very common. Making the lawyers and judges dependent on them for appointment and empowerment is another thing bad leaders do to enable them manipulate court judgments.

When that is the case,  it is obvious that the government and its organizations will be too corrupt to care about what the people are going through, since some of the problems are probably their orchestrations.

Indeed having different layers of government has advantage of having the government ears, eyes and hands around the least communities. But the system of government at the top will definitely have a direct impact on the lower layer. If the top are too corrupt to care, then the government heads are the local level will likely be too corrupt to care. This means corruption becomes the order of duties thereby leaving the society poor.
