Title: Using risers and extensions in series Post by: NuggetFlipper on April 02, 2014, 04:24:40 AM Has anyone ever used a pcie 1x extender and then added a x1 to x16 riser on top of that?
I searched for it but maybe my google-fu isn't strong enough. I have a short x1 to x16 riser, I was hoping to that I just just add an extender instead of buying a completely new one. I've got pcie 1x (into the mb) to usb3 then to gain the extra distance I used a couple of usb3 extention cables to get me to the x16 gpu risers. I dunno if this would be useful to you.
