Yesterday I received a call from someone telling me that I am qualify to receive 75,000 from APC.. that is a fund we should put in our business for growth and whatsoever. I was just having patient to see how where he gonna land on his talk, I sent my account number to them and after few minutes I received an automated code starting with my FCMB as message from the bank without them knowing I knew where they were driving to, I just have to endure to see what they would do. When sent me automated messages to copy code and sent to them, on the process they would call I will pick and they said I should call otp send to me that I shouldn't share with anyone and I said ok, but guess what?
They burned their airtime keep calling me to make sure they got the code but I didn't give them right code till they got tired.

Hahaha, this thread really reminds me of those days when these type of scams were very common, I didn’t even know that they’re at still using the same scam attempt to defraud people. Back then, I’d receive a text like this or call from strange people almost twice or more times in a day, claiming I’ve won some kind of prize that I can’t remember participating in. And whenever they called, I’d always try to mess with them, even when it gets to the point of calling the OTP or my card details. I’d always mess with them until they finally figure out that I’m only messing with them and they’ll stop calling. I’ve even went as far as taking and sending them screenshots of a fake payment which I claim to have made to their account, and I can never forget the Joy that engulfed them that day before they realized it was all a lie and that I’ve just wasted their time and airtime. The whole thing was just so satisfying to watch :D :D :D

This is an old scam scheme, be like this men done run out of strategies to use perpetrate their illegitimate activities on unsuspecting ignorant Nigerians. It's very disturbing how some set of persons will just seat somewhere and calculate how they can milk the already suffering and struggling Nigerians of their funds that are not even enough to take care of their basic needs by taking advantage of the hunger way day the land to take scam poor Nigerians. Sincerely we are better than this as Nigerians this isn't our culture and norms we're known for.

so this kind of scam still de in existence till now when almost every body don wise up like this? all this people no de ever rest.
normally, once you see that part of "CALL MR .........." just know say na them oh, e no de ever pass that kind format.

you know why e de easy for you not to fall for this kind of scam? na based on say you guide your side well. assuming say you broke wetin no nice and just de hope for the least, asap, you go rush click the link or do any thing dem go wan tell you to do. all this kind scams de affect broke people and people when never understand how our nigerian systems de work. if you don recieve all those federal government give away money before, you go understand say no be like this e de work, once you don send your details, no body go ask you to call anybody before you go get your payment. as long as them don approve say them go pay you, all this process no de ever follow at all.

I swear they have ran out of strategies some are even using email address to scam people, there was a post i shared where they tried to someone using an email that look like CoinBase email address tell her confirm that action is required, but the email address was not the email CoinBase is using  here is the email address info@info.coinbase.com, while CoinBase is using support@Coinbase.com. In conclusion we have to be very careful and avoid all this common scam.

This is an old trick na, something that we have seen many times and even some old women in the villages know this is a scam. For this Nigeria, person go dash people money for free? Tinubu that is looking for ways of taxing us to death will dash random people free N75,000? Anytime I receive this kind of message containing free money or any enticing thing, na delete I dey delete am straight so I don't get tempted to pay attention to such message.

Let me ask you Madam, when the scammer called you, didn't try to waste his airtime small? If I'm the one the scammer called, I will pretend to be flowing along and the scammer will continue talk before him go know, we will be turning round and round wasting his call card until he dicover I know his trick and intentionally wasting his time and money.

Before this same scammer they will call you and say they are calling from the bank and banks has already informed customers to know that they will never call any of their customers on phone to collect any details from their customers, if any call comes from the bank at all they will be ask their customers to come to the bank. They know this format of scam is well known,  and now they are using APC as format because they know this goverment and party is well known for sharing money to people for them to get what they want. It I'd unfortunate that many will fall for this scam.

Lol... If no be government wey bad, na 75k person go dey look at putting into bizness, too poor. Na country wey spoil, hunger dey and scammers too dey hussle.

Some times people still dey fall oo. I remember one funny story wey one aged man around 60 years take speed enter road as him still dey wear clothes dey run go bank abi POS to block his account as him begin see series of debit alert for him phone ;D. Him want run go block him account first before him go begin share the story of how "bank" people called him and requested some number from him that someone wants to send him money.  Lol. We need to dey careful.

Wow! What nuance, and this can not be quickly noticeable if the users is not careful not note the difference especially if he's not well aware of how the genuine coinbase address should look. People have to be very vigilant and should as well spend time to be in line with or up to date with the platforms they are making use of, in which way it would help them stay steps ahead and guided from falling for their scammers in such petty move.

Even though say na old scam method be this but e get people wey go still fall for dis kan scam format, reason being that they have not been exposed to such scams method before. I sha know say as FG pay youth service corps members $77k na so scammers go begin dey use different strategy wan scam people make dem for believe say the federal government wan help people. And like play most people dey really fall for this scam ohh because this type of thing don happen for me front, this one self na call say the man don win 100k just like that ohh the young wey receive the call come dey happy say him don win money, and just imagine dey were asking for some personal information like him atm card number, and bvn number to claim the reward, but make we all greathe check am out If no be greed how self go contact you just like saying you have been promised an large sum of amount or an lucrative investment opportunity but requiring you to pay a smaller amount upfront fee way why I said greedness dey use our eyes see something for this country.

OP you sef take risk by giving out ur account numba like dat. What if dem use d account for criminal tendencies and pay in ransom into am to make am look like you be wan of d gang members. We neva can tell bc dem get chat of you sending account numba to dem, nor be sey na random account numba wey dey just wire money into. Na waiting my mind the tell me be that, say the ops risk too much already by sending his account number to them in the first place since he already knows that those guys calling him are scammers and to hack his account and take control of the funds in them, far from it that ops wasted they airtime because those scammers have tons of airtime to waste because there have hacked accounts in their possession that have balances and they keep sending airtime to their number from such an account so airtime is never their problem.

The risk mainly is that the ops sent his account number to scammers and it may or may not play out the way we are assuming saying that those scammers may pay huge amounts of money just to implicate the ops account which is some what rampant this day since I have seen some times that scammers have access to international accounts with a huge amount of balance and looking for was to shift the money as a test to know if actual they can withdraw such an amount, and once it succeeds, it can implicate the ops.

The hunger for the country addition to human greed don cover their mind from thinking twice at the reception of such calls for unaccounted lottery way you no participate or apply for any funds yet you just the happy say you done win or deserve to receive money somewhere.

Abi person way win money them go still the ask am to send small money come to use transfer the money him again. Why them no cut that small fees from the money and send me anything way remain. People stupid eh

Well if you look at the text message you would see that it looks so fake to be true and whenever something looks to real then you should know that it is fake because I am not sure if our president is that generous to start giving out 75k to people after all he has spent on running his campaign, I am not even sure if he has recovered from what he spent during his election so how could he be that generous to give out 75k to people under curtsey of APC. Abeg try shine eyes oo because we country many people dey hustle Left right center to see how them fit see food chop.

Nor be sey I dey try panic OP but na just to let am sabi sey side effect dey for somethings wey we dey overlook. Sharing this number as you did is good, so that if possible everybody will save it as a scam so that anytime they received a call from that number  they would no from the onset that this is the scammer that has also called several others to trick them, actually they have met someone very smart and wiser than them because from all this they were the ones that loss through their airtime they wasted, however I wonder how shallow they think people are by using APC name to scam people when we already no that there is no way any party in this country will give anybody money unless is during election they want to buy people conscience.

lol they should know that is getting old already and a lot of people already knew about such method of scamming , but the thing is that there are some people at there that are still going to fall for such , and they will have their accounts drained by the scammers. Like me I usually snooze message like this , because I know is totally waste of time , and after waiting your time their aim is not still genuine so better not to send them any details and just avoid their text.

Yeah very bad behavior to me but what matters is that I was able to know that it was scam attempts and I wasn't carried away by their offer. One thing I like about this forum is that it has opened our eyes to know how scammers operate or how they do initiate scam attempts and if you are that smart enough you would be able to sight it out that is a scam attempts, so decided to share here for people to be aware of what is going on in the country so that none of us would fall victim of this scam.

This one no be new way wey this people dey take scam people, na something wey don they in existence for long. And e be like say you don come across or hear about this kind scam before na him make you guide well and no fall into their scam. The country dey very hard and scammers go still wan take advantage of the situation to scam people off their little wey them get dey use take guide. 419 dey very on a high now and na time wey we suppose dey very vigilant, any suspicious move wey we no dey use to before anytime we come across am, make we confirm and no release sensitive informations to them when obliged to even when we have been persuaded to belive in them. I am still wondering why people are falling for such scams, because there is no how federal government will contact through an unknown person to give you any support where they have federal government bodies that are in charge of all these.
Scammers are always looking for ways to survive by all means, that is why Ponzi schemes are rampant and some of these scams are even outdated and they can only scam people that are greedy of illiterates that don’t know anything about privacy or about such scams going on. If the person that called you or text you will be given the money to share to you, they will never give you the money, they will hijack the money, so it is easy to detect it as a scam and a means of getting access to your personal information, let’s be vigilant.

Na who no d for Nigeria go fit fall for this kind old trick nah. Only the promised amount and name of party involved plus the name of the person responsible for the money to be sent supposed signal you na pure scam wey miss road. Because already Nigerians are not happy with the said political party and the president of the country. Coming to say that they are giving free money to Nigerians d funny cos no election time wey we d, for this kind yeye scam to work, sae this kind be possible for the president to give out free money to win the heart of Nigerians to vote for am the second time. I have received series of messages from same scammers, and I think they use the same name like the one from the screenshot. Quite a dirty strategy is you ask me. Of course, so many Nigerians will fall for it due to the level of hardship, and the will to do anything just for survival (which you can't blame them), but from a general sense,  it is greed, because most of them knows what exactly the whole thing is(i.e scam).

And the frustrating part is that, we don't find our financial crimes commission coming after these people. They don't get intelligence when it comes to crimes like these, but they make attempts to break into some residence even without intelligence or arrest warrants.

Well it's tied down to some of the lazy ones because some of the scams that some of these guys pull off would suprise you and a perfect example is the scam on the french lady who they sold an almost whooping sum of $800k. And the funny thing is the level of hard work these people put into their business is quite alarming on a very large scale and one would wonder if actually all that energy is transferred somewhere else legitimately if they wouldn't succeed too.

I encountered similar scam situation last month, I was having my hair cut when I received a call saying that I was among those qualitified for a particular investment by some real estate agency, they promised I'll never regret doing business with them, whereas I never applied for any business or contacted any real estate agency, I was asked to drop my details with the person after the call they cone to a certain location at Akwaibom state, I told him I don't reside their and he was like they'll reschedule a meeting at another location in my state, I just laughed and ended the call, people need to be careful with these scammers they'll mention figures or things that would attract you to be victims asides that organs harvests and kidnappers use such strategies to get people too so let's all be extremely careful.

It’s funny because these scammers really get mind. A whole legendary member na them won scam with 77,000 naira, how e won take work. Na NYSC Corper them go fit deceive with that kind amount way e go dey shake. This scam na old scam but you no go believe the number of people way still dey fall mugu for am.

That is the bad one because setting a meeting and giving you a location to come meet them is highly risky because you wouldn't know what they had in mind for you to come meet them over there, and the worst part is that they asked me to send account number to someone else that is that person who would assist me, that i shouldn't disclose anything external body's. At this point was already weird due to their silly behavior.

 
I must testify on this because talking about 419 people in this country, this Banks listed above is the easiest banks those 419 normally used, i don't know why those banks will all there banks to be used for frauding, the one that happened to me they used fcmb, can believe that my account was empty for within 5 minutes and when i went inside bank they told me that, there is nothing they can do on how trace how my account was empty, and from that till now i have send money into that account.

People are doing a lot of things just to make money in this life which is not good even if the country or economy is hard, they should know is not only hard for them rather it is hard for everyone unless to those that are planning on killing the people they are leading ( leaders). 419 scam in Nigeria has become an old scam ever before which was first brought by an "Nigeria prince" the scam is know as unknown scam which unclear however from my little research "419" refers to section 419 of the Nigeria criminal code which deals with fraud.

This is a regular scam activity, young people like most of us must've seen this on a regular basics and are used to them. The only set of people that's very vulnerable to this are old folks since they believe easily these text messages. I happened to catch an older colleague in the office where I went to bid for a contact talking to them on the phone and stopped him on time before he could release any financial details.

Maybe we could help them by giving them constant reminder against these fake messages so they didn't feel for it. Greed is also a major factor people fall for scams when they believe they can get something for nothing.

I didn't even have to read the message to the end to know it was a scam. With the economic state of the country and how hard things are, I mean, who expects APC to come and give them money for free. So, whoever this scammer is, maybe they're just new to the business, because this is an old format: sending you a message, congratulating you, and telling you to do this or that.

I guess hunger has affected the scammer's brain, and they can't think smart anymore, because a lot of people now know this format of someone calling you and asking you to send a code, and even old people know it's a scam. So sad every little event, scammers surface

This format don cast tay tay now, no need for you to even share the contact because they cannot use the same contact they used to call you and call the other person, as in they are using different contact because na the update wey dem dey use chop be that. I still dey surprised that some scammers never upgrade, they still want to use format wey don expire take chop for their brothers head, though I never receive any call before but I’ve been receiving messages from different contacts but I no dey mind them.

However, I don’t know if this has happened to anyone before, but they get one thing these scammers dey do now, they will just call you using an old man voice and be like dey mistakenly send recharge card to your phone number, you should send it back to them, I be wan fall for their trap for the first time but God saved me. We need to stay alert with these scammers as country don hard for everybody.

This scam method don old naw, this message no for reach this latest day tech gurus like us naw, e kon be like say we no know wetin we dey do, na old papa this scam method dey hit because they still believe in Nigeria politics giveaway or empowerment program to be true because of them desperate attitude towards earning Nigerian party money.

Every scam update dey active and never old but e dey pay depending on the victims category of living, e get some people wey be say them no like politics matter at all, to the point wey3be say, if them receive such message, them dey comot am asap.

The same goes to people of similar attitudes to something different like airdrop, some pop up message can come up to get engaged in some airdrop, during the process you'll be asked to deposit a little to withdraw all your airdrop funds, some category of people will fall victim to this while some people won't even care to follow up.

You have to read to save other people that will come across such scam messages, because not everybody that have the knowledge on how scammers use to have access to people to scam their money. Despite the hardship in the country, there are some people that will never pay attention to those free giveaway by scammers because that is the major tool scammers are using to hack people account to have access to their money.

That is how it use to be when people are sharing their mistakes with scammers, and it will be hard for them to use the same pattern to scam other people, which is the foolish behavior scammers will be behaving for people to ignore what so ever they will use to try people.

But Op, I really take some risks by sending Demeur account number oh, I no say u no jus want catch cruise with Dem but to give try if wetin dem talk u initially na real otherwise, I no see any reason to go da far sending Dem ur bank account number.
See nobody know everybody means these scammers dey take operate oh so e just good for us to stay clear once we sense dem.
U no wonder how dem take get ur phone number? Now Dem dey ask u for account number and u send give dem. What if na jus to get the real bank account number way dey associated with that phone of ura dem need to execute their mission? Na so I for don just submit urself to dem.

This is very funny, though, or should I say, these sets of scammers are apprentices learning how to scam because this is an old scam method used by scammers, and to be frank, it is an old trick. I have had similar experiences in the past were they send me campaign money and all of that and they want me to send them little funds to secure them for me till I am chanced to go pick them up, some are farmers grant that they would call and said that I should send funds to complete the process of securing the grant from the bank of agriculture and al of that. I had known their tricks so I did not bother about all of that stuff that is why whenever I see messages of such nature, I just smile it out of my phone immediately so I do not make the mistake of doing anything careless. These are old pattern and e sef no fit catch our granny them because them too don wise to dey avoid these kind of things for the government wey we dey so.

Today i received a message from a foreing number. Here is the content of the message;

'"My name is Lily Bella!!
Thank you for your reply. Our company cooperates with [AliExpress-ShopVerse] who are willing to pay to increase the attention of their products, so our company needs to recruit a lot of co-operative employees to like their products on the mall and earn 100k-200k Naira every day.
Are you interested to know more?"

It did not took me much time i have to delete the message immediately. No one is a baby anymore although there are still people who will fall for this type of scam.

Dis method still dey ? I thought this one e don cast of. If na before people dey fall well well but now I no think say people go still fall foe this kind scam dem again. Another one sef dey, the scammer go send card to you and asked you to resend the card back to his father. I never really understood that one. But whenever I received a call like I told them to send back their fathers.

This is not new, but be it as it may, there are still people who would fall for this scam as the target is likely the unemployed in the society because when they see such a message, they will be desperate to get the job and in so doing, they would begin to follow up with the scam unknown to them and end up getting scammed in the process of trying to secure a mouth watering job they have no clues about for the time being. I have also received similar text messages in the past, so I do not doubt this scheme, and most times, they get their dirty job done.

Hope say you know this scammers dey get plenty mobile line wey them dey use work so only saving their numbers won't prevent you from them but knowing their format will prevent you from becoming one of their prey. Knowing wetin 419ers dey like and prepare for encounters against them go help you better. Anything wey you no apply for and you get the offer, just know say na scam. The ones wey you still apply for and got the job but they're asking for money to secure it, know say na scammer too. Dey always observe how you dey receive the message (whether na test or calls) as something fishy is always present in the scamming message. Some times misspelling dey plenty as the scammers no too dey dey brilliant or are in a rush to send you the scam messages.

That is why we must know the kind of message we should give attention and again I don't also respond to messages sent from friend without calling them to confirm if that messages was truly from them because phone can be stolen and hackers can easily start sending random messages to people around and also inside the contact to borrow emergency funds. So I go advise people to dey careful became this we country no ever pure again if not things go really dey bad in timing coming.
Most people are too lazy them decide to dey scam people than going to source for a better job for themselves instead of scamming people.

Well, na Naija be this and people are always seeking for ways to easily get paid and as such, I no go blame anybody wey go fall for these kind scam because I Dey sure say, if them send this message to let’s assume about 100 numbers, no how wey atleast one person no go fall and at the end of the day, I go still drag the blame to our government and how them Dey make the poor masses indulge in things alert them no suppose.
It’s very bad say, e get people wey go wake up for morning and the next thing wey Dey their mind na how to scam the next countryman even with the consciousness say the economy rough and that’s really disheartening and I pray whatever them Dey believe make e forgive them and give them the change the world and country deserve.

Another funny thing be say, these whole scam Dey even make people lose a whole lot of opportunities because we no fit differentiate scam from legit and that’s disheartening.

Of course there are plenty people that will fall for these things. That you are exposed to these scammers strategies doesn't mean that many people outside there are exposed to it. About three weeks ago, I saved a bike Man that carried me from emptying his account to send to one scammer who was impersonating Untouchable Comedy. Many of us should be aware who Untouchable Comedy is if you are familiar with social media in this Naija. He met one fake untouchable who promised to give him #500k to add to his business. But he will need to send anything from his heart to an account number provided to him to help one struggling woman.

 This Man was willing to do this, luckily he told me when I was on his bike. He was very happy, until I told him it was a scam. At first he doubted me, then I asked him to bring where he is chatting the so called untouchable. He did and I texted the person and said Alaye rest, immediately scammer responded and started quarreling and calling me names. The next thing he blocked the man. That was how I was able to save this Man from being scammed.

That's the sad truth, lots of people would fall victim to that scam people here see as cheap, some out of ignorance, some greed and the majority would be out of frustration from the hard economy, people are suffering and these scammers are aware of that, they know some people would want to try their luck regardless of whether they have knowledge of such scam activities, that alone would make them fall victim not only to scam activities but ritual killings or organ harvester. Well from your statement I don't think the bike Man is learned cause he's suppose to know hoe to differentiate a celebrities real social media handle from the fake one, also he didn't even think that untouchable would've used the #500k the scammer claimed he'll give him to help the poor woman instead of asking for his little money, those are stuffs a learned person would consider, expect the person is greedy.

Maybe revealing the scammer's number may help but it's much helpful to make use of the true-caller app. With true caller app it helps reveals the real name of any one behind any phone number and you get to know the actual person calling that if they decide to fake a name you will easily know because before you pick the call the true-caller app has revealed the caller's name already. If it's a scamming number it will be easier to indicate when the person is saying something different from what they bear.

This is bad and taking advantage of your people’s current economic situation  is unlike it. I have heard of this scam method before but I don’t really know how they conclude in scamming people off their money, but thanks to the explanation you’ve given in this thread, it explained it much better and would serve as a notice to one when we come across such scam portraying themselves towards us in the future. The economy is hard, and scammer will keep looking for ways to scam their victims, we need to be extra careful and vigilant especially from what sounds too good to be true.


I am just seeing this type of message for the first time here but haven’t heard of it before. From the content of the message, it looks too good to be true. How can you be paid 100-200K a day for such work, that’s untrue. There are some level to which you’ll work and you’ll be paid more than what you’re for and you’ll begin to doubt if that’s only what they want from you. This look too good to be true and it’s good you deleted the message so that you don’t start thinking maybe you should give them a try or not.

Scammers want to scam and it's APC they are using as the  country hard reach. Them no try oh.  This government when find am hard to pay NYSC their 77k na them go come the dash out 75k to the public just like that.

I dey always laugh anytime wey I see message like this for my phone, na greed and too much love for money dey make people fall for this kind small scam na, because you know say you no work for anybody so how come you want dey receive free money? No body fit do anything for anyone free for this country and not even the government can give you free something unless there's a good reason and even if there's a good reason for me to receive free money from any government party, I will always wait for verification and a thorough inspection before I respond to such messages or I ignore them entirely as I don't like taking unnecessary risk and avoidable scams.

I blame those that will sharing their bank details to 419 after all bankers have informed all the customers that’s they will never call he/she to ask of their bank’s details, anybody that there account have issues should direct themselves into the bank for complain. Because even the banker’s awareness of how the 419 are been going around by scams the innocents.

Especially those that will go and sit down for one place and will be texting people through SMS that government want to give loan or sharing a money, what I want make people understand is that if government want to share the money in think I will directly going to the CBN and give them directive; but peoples 419 will be wasting their time and energy just make people lose their money.

Though I know as e be and people wey no dey smart enough fit fall flat about this type of scamming methods and even as that they used and number to call me this night weda I get chance to talk them because say I really need the money to set up business, okay, oya ask me weda na 70k dem dey talk run business. This 419 most times are using our government deficiency to scam the people. Imagine when government talk about palative then, na so we just hear ham for radio and nothing more. The same thing with some other initiative raised by the government. Na so we dey hear ham, we no dey see ham. This made it so easy for scammers to hide under this. Citizen easily fall victim because they sometime hear something related on news. If our government are plain with their ways it will make things more easy and people will easily identify scams from real.

The scammer no that people will fall victim wen dey use government initiative to promise people,  but some people no how government initiative work in the community because there are different channels in the country that will broadcast the news for people to believe that is real initiative. But some people who don't no how those scammers operate will believe that the fake initiative is from the government until dey got scam before dey will realize that the initiative is not from the government.

I don't think government will be able to stop scammers in the country because scammers are everywhere, even in this forum there are scammers despite the rules and regulations that governed the forum, but it hard for them to scam people that understand how this forum work.

It's pitiable to see that our country are now turning to scamming zone where we can't even trust the people Inside and how they could launched a fake program by our president just to scam and lure people into believing them that the federal government are actually doing something like this, and even though if the federal government is carrying out such acts it should come from the State government down to our local government where they could asked our LGAs to have a total submissions of names of people who actually anticipated on the election exercise so that they could received their allocations to their respective accounts and not by calling people on a random asking for their accounts details while their real intentions is to scam people.

At the end of the day when you finally get in contact with them they would ask for your bank informations and their reason is always that they need those details to input in their system but it's all a scam. Absolutely right, people who still use such formats are probably not up to date...some gullible still fall for things like this, this is just like the bank scam fraudsters run,  they call you and claim that they are calling from your bank, lol, people still communicate with them ignorantly after being told several times that your bank would never call to ask you for informations they already have... scamming is such a hard work,  all those brain work can be put into a legitimate business if they are serious with life... Would Nigeria ever recover from these vices, it seems to be getting worse everyday.

Conversely, it's not only in Nigeria where all these scam activities are found. No society is workout fraudster that's why the government creates an agency to tackle such menace. I was almost scammed last year with promise of a package being sent to me from the UK, but I just copied the package number and went straight to the cargo airline official website and searched for the package and it was non-existent, went back and told them the airline company does not know about the package and they blocked me till this day.

Lol, Nigerians would never learn, they have being in this country all their life and they have never witnessed such generosity from the government But they believe a text like this... sometimes I don't blame people who Fall for things like this because it's either they are just being ignorant or the level of hardship has made them so desperate to believe anything.. Well said and done. This scammers go so far to scam people. They make even more research than we that call ourselves crypto gurus. If they have channel those effort just you have said to other real channels online, they should be able to make a more legitimate money than try to scam people which may put them into trouble if caught. Well, another thing here may be lack of information. They may not know much about all this freelance job and other online legitimate ways of making money and moreover, they may not be ready to learn as well.

This is not actually my first time of seeing such thing like this, and as a matter of fact I have experience this before. though they didn't bring the offer directly to me rather they passed through my Boss, and he was smart enough to detect that he is actually dealing with scammers. But he pretend as if he never knew thier intention, and he was like following them up with the intention of wasting thier airtime. It was later run that they realize that my boss already knew thier intention, and have decided to waste thier time and thier airtime as well. Though most people can be so naive to fall for this scam, but they wouldn't have included the name of the president I the first place. Because even if one can fall a victim for them, once he saw the name of the president in the text. Definitely he won't give it a thought than to conclude that the person is actually trying to scam him, because they don't see any good thing coming from the president.

We are having a failed division of authorities, they are getting paid wholesomely to detect and take down fraudsters instead they keep replicating.  Using NIN to detect scammers works perfectly but Nigeria has a way out, they omit NIN verification during registration or they make it complex by using someones identity during registration, talking about how scammers operate to skip being caught through NIN. Besides, Government should have quick access to personal informations when suspecting any fraud activities, just lazy or biased to operate as supposed.

This is how they go about frauding people of their hard earn money, everyone has being affected by the economy instead of them to look for something reasonable doing, all they do is to scam innocent people.

I remember back in the days wey I first encounter this type of scam, truly I call the number, and na guy answer me, him say I need to pay #15k for them to release the money to me, which was #150k, wetin I just tell am is that make them remove the 15k inside the money I win and give me the rest, after everything wey them talk just to convince me to send them 💰 money, e no wrk because the money self I no even get.
I still remember say I tell them say, if I get #15k for my account I for no even reason their message because I for feel like odogwu 🤣🤣🤣if 15k been dy my account, so na so them just give up for my matter.
But regardless of anything, abeg make we dy very careful with the kind of sensitive information we dy give out because these scammers no get anyway them fit scam us if we no give them the information them dy find.

I heard over the news yesterday that after the most recent scam in Nigeria with the CBEX Ponzi scheme failure, the government is looking to put in place a law that would criminate various actors in any form of schemes that looks to fraud citizens of Nigeria. Laws that wouldn’t be limited to the team behind the project in itself but would also include its promoters and licensing offices as these are principal actors that people bank on for trust and reliability. Don’t know how well they would carry this out but, it would be nice to put some fright in the minds of these people, let them know they aren’t getting away with it and would face some serious jail time, life in prison sentences and even the death penalty.

Gone are those days when people normally fall for this kinda scam.
The person behind that message is obviously wasting his or her time. Even my grand mother can easily tell it's a scam considering the fact that it's coming from APC. The same APC government that has turned Nigeria into a disaster .

The government they try there best to fight against fraud and its a good one but the problem i get be say them no they get legit information before they go the arrest people na one thing wey done give me joy be say them they fight am but they need to do more if you look advance countries them they get concrete evidence to use nail the person so when them charge them to court evidence go they.
