Title: Bitcoin swap-meet in real life?
Post by: RodeoX on April 07, 2011, 06:35:38 PM
I think it would be fun to meet somewhere for some trading and fun. Attendees could bring a laptop and some garage sale type stuff. Buy and sell things, drink and laugh. Could be a good time. I know how much some of you value your anonymity, but I don't mind saying that I live in Wisconsin. I would be willing to drive as far as Chicago for such an event.
Has this been tried? Is it interesting to anyone else?

Set up a meetup  (http://www.meetup.com)group. There's one for NY and probably others.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I have gone to a few meetup.com things in the past and they are fun.
P.S. @Plato, I pinned your map.
