For the rules and some other forum related infos,  read  the pinned thrwad on meta. if you vusit anyboard, try reading the pinned threads as wel. There's could be high probability of you losing money if you try trading Bitcoin especially  as a beginner, Investing and holding it is somehow better.

Newbies who already knew about this board (Beginners & Help), can easily see the sticky threads in this board. One of those threads gives them many answers for newbie questions, and newbies don't need to create threads like this one.

Trading is hard, risky and more easily get loss than profit. In long term you will have losses in trading, not profit if you are not belong to minority of traders and if you are not very few professional and successful trader.

Welcomebti the forum mid9tclaw. While admitted that the necessary informations about the forum has been brought to you, I'll bring to your attention that there's a huge difference between treading and investing which most newbies like you've been getting complicated in the bitcoin space. So I hope you'll get that right so that Wrong materials or even individual guidelines won't be sent across which may get you all all times wasted learning the wrong thing while you aimed to learn another. 
I'm mean to say trading involves buying and selling of bitcoin in a very shit term which is required traders to lookout for their trading structures including financial managements, funding trading strategies all in order to minimize looses and maximizes profits.
Investing basically is buying of bitcoin and holds in a period of time that looks up to the market performance before selling in other to make profits. It could be either a short time or long time goal.
Experienced users will always say that trading is risky due to it technical fundamentals but potential to yield quick profits while in investment, you'll have to buy and hold basically on your investment goal either in short or long term plan.
So put these to considerations and think which one you mean regarding the fact you're a newbie and could be misinformed between trading and investing.

Pros and cons of trading bitcoin? Thats actually self explanatory but will give you a concise one.

Pros - btc trading is a valuable asset in crypto in fact its the most important one, not only you gain access to the crypto space but also got an opportunity to have bitcoin a future of financial.

Cons- Your money could go down in value if the btc price goes down too. Its risky as its really volatile one.

The link provided by other forum members here are good to read since there would be lots of learnings to get if you read it.

Anyways I guess you meant to say Bitcoin Investment instead of learning about Bitcoin trading, there's the Bitcoin Discussions board and also the speculation board where you can learn about Bitcoin investment and if you wish to learn about trading you can check the trading Discussions board, anyways I don't know if you're new into Cryptocurrency but I'll advise you start with Bitcoin investment incase you're a beginner in Cryptocurrency, since Bitcoin investment is less riskier.

I will join the rest of the other members to welcome you here, It is nice you found your way here as this is a citadel of Bitcoin and crypto education. Believe me, you will never regret coming to this platform. I  also believe you must have gone through the posts and links as provided by other members, but I will also say this, you should avoid the use of AI-generated content so that you do not have issues here, as the platform frowns on such. Another thing you should do is to avoid plagiarism as it is against the forum policies, and anyone found wanting would be punished for it. Ordinarily, plagiarism is an offense, and the law does not permit such. Do well to adhere to this little information I have given you here as it would help you scale through here peacefully.

I think we are missing the most important of them all regarding what a newbie should first have, which is the forum rules and regulation, then after this, any other thing may follow.

To emphasize it clearer and bolder for you, don't try to plagiarize, instead of doing that, quote the aspect you may copy and include a reference link there, but being a newbie as you're, i will advise you do much of learning now than posting.

Welcome to the forum. First of all, I would like to advise you, to learn about the forum, develop the habit of reading before posting. If you focus on posting without trying to gain knowledge even though you do not have knowledge, you can become known as a useless poster. To know the rules of the forum, read the pinned posts of this board  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0)and meta board  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0)or search for your local board and discuss and ask about all the issues there.

Secondly, I would advise you to stay away from trading. Because trading is high-risk and there is a high possibility of losing money. So forget about Bitcoin trading and force yourself to think about Bitcoin investment and enter the speculation board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0) to gain knowledge related to investment.

For the do's and don't of the forum, the pinned thread on this board will be very much useful to help you understand a lot of them, to help you understand reading properly, trying trading section of the forum will be a very good stop that has a lot of experience traders whose knowledge will be instrumental for the success you hope to attain in your trading journey. However, I don't subscribe to the idea of getting into trading when you're yet to understand things about the crypto ecosystem, you might not get it really well most expecially when you consider that the market is a bit down.

Also,  bitcoin is a volatile asset which doesn't have an 100% guarantee of returns of investment most expecially if you're a trader that is in for the short term , chances of being at a disadvantage is extremely high for traders compared to investors who in most cases will have to buy and just HODL. If you're able to, it will be better to consider just buying the bitcoin you can afford to get and just HODL it, it will save you from a lot of technicality that comes with trading.

Welcome to the forum, head over to the trading board to learn about bitcoin trading. However if you want to learn more about bitcoin, which I believe is a must before you learn how to trade, then, here is my most recommended advice to newbies on where to start.  I'll share mk4 compilation for those need to start from somewhere. It has helped me immensely and I hope it does so for you too. Here it is below.

Its pretty easy honestly, there are only 3 rules

1) Read before you post
2) Don't spam
3) Don't be a douche

Basically that's it, stick to the above 3 rules and you'll be golden. Ask questions, contribute, and be helpful

As a starter, I'll give you a few tips that might be useful for you as a beginner in this market. The first and foremost thing for you to do is to try to gain as much knowledge as possible before you enter the market financially. This means that before you start making investments or trades, you should understand almost everything about the market because that is going to make things easier for you.

Second, stay away from two things as a beginner: Futures trading and meme coins.

Futures trading contains a lot of risks, and a newbie shouldn't get involved in it until they become fully equipped. And, meme coins are also too risky because they are cryptocurrencies created out of thin air and are mostly driven by hype and can make you lose money really quick.

Like what others have linked, kindly check the first reply to your post to see the rules and regulations on this forum. Just to add, you can also utilize the search bar located on the top-right corner of your screen. Just type anything that peaks your interest because most questions made by newbies/beginners have already been answered tons of times already.

Lastly, I heavily recommend visiting the local boards your country in this forum. You can find it by scrolling down and searching your country. As we all know, speaking from our native tongue is easier in both communication and understanding.

You are welcome to the forum, man. Here is the safest place to learn anything about cryptocurrency of your choice, whether trading or investment, regardless of anything you want to do. However, you already stated what you want to learn in the forum. With Bitcoin trading, the best thing you should do is that you should go to the trading board for more information; that is where you learn everything about trading.
