Title: We need a new word to replace "Trustless" Escrow or "Trustfree" Escrow
Post by: Ragnarly on April 02, 2014, 03:40:08 PM
We in the community know that those phrases mean either 1. A transaction needs multiple keys. Or 2. Three pieces are created to form the private key, like what we use at https://anark.it/ (https://anark.it/)

Non-bitcoiners think the phrases mean the escrow can't be trusted. So what should we call these types of secure escrows?

Our job is to inform, not to appease. Trustless is an accurate word to describe it.

Crow

Scrow! We watch your money.
"Trust us Scrow"
"We like money"
Inspired by the movie Idiocracy, I fear this term could be handily adopted at least here in the US.

It's the escrow part that creates all sorts of regulatory and legal issues.
