Title: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: Tykilito on May 21, 2025, 09:46:33 AM Hello all,
I'm looking for information about crypto mining. I am located in France. I have the advantage of paying 0.0051/kWh, so I think it could be profitable. I have a budget of around €3,000. I already have three-phase power. Can you advise me if which altcoins will be interressting for me ? I don't know much about it, but the dual mining aspect of dogecoin/litecoin really appealed to me. Hardware-wise, is it better to buy an ASICS at the risk of being limited on the cryptos I can mine, or is it better to go for a rig? Thanks in advance for your advice. Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: FP91G on May 21, 2025, 01:00:32 PM Hello all, A video card rig will pay off for a very long time even if you have free electricity. You can buy a dirty piece of junk (RX 470 and similar) and pay it off in 5-6 months, but even I wouldn't do that.I'm looking for information about crypto mining. I am located in France. Thanks in advance for your advice. https://www.asicminervalue.com/ Choose the Bitmain Antminer 21 series air-cooled ASICs or the MicroBT WhatsMiner analogs. If you want to mine Litecoin + Dogecoin, then the Bitmain Antminer L9 (17Gh) is a good and reliable ASIC. You will recoup your investment in 12-18 months, according to the calculator, but it depends on the price of the coins. What is your maximum power consumption? I saw the L9 but it's expensive, right?
Do you have any Asics buying sites to recommend? Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: safar1980 on May 21, 2025, 06:15:08 PM Thank you for your reply. I'll give you some advice too Scroll down the page a little and you'll find a list of equipment sellers. https://www.asicminervalue.com/ru/miners/bitmain/antminer-l9-17gh you can find this list and prices for each asic If you are in France, be sure to ask miners from France for advice on where to buy an ASIC. In my country, ASICs are sold for cryptocurrency and mostly on prepayment, and we have a lot of scammers and fake stores. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=48.0 Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: FP91G on May 22, 2025, 12:39:37 PM I looked at the activity of French miners and I see that it is very low there. Apparently electricity prices are very expensive for mining.
Find a popular European YouTube mining blogger and look for information about the best suppliers in his community. Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: doubletheprof on May 23, 2025, 06:25:27 AM 5 cents is really good for mining!:)
Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: Tykilito on May 23, 2025, 08:19:31 AM I thought my low electricity cost would allow me to be profitable, but it seems that this is not the only factor...
Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: FP91G on May 24, 2025, 12:14:51 PM 5 cents is really good for mining!:) This is good for mining if you don't have any additional expenses and you have permission to mine. For example, my electricity cost is less than 5 cents, but I can't consume much electricity in a private house, so my mining will be limited to one or two ASICs no more than 7 kilowatts per hour. So you think this power isn't enough for mining? I could go up to 16kW at most. Title: Re: Beginner in mining - Low elecricity price Post by: Tykilito on June 03, 2025, 01:10:37 PM I think you should try mining because your 0.0051/kWh is practically free. If you are not ready to buy a modern ASIC, then buy an ASIC S19 series for 300-500 euros and try. Do not be afraid to gain experience in practice, if you succeed, you will find an investor for 4-5 modern ASICs and expand to 16 kilowatts. You really have a price of 0.0051/kWh? There are no such prices in France. I work for an energy company. Where can you find Asics at this price? Also in Russia, on almost any marketplace, you can find used ASICs and other equipment and look at reviews about the seller. Is it really a problem to buy used ASICs in France? You're electricity is cheap so mining can be really be worth it. You can go with dual mining litecoin and dogecoin. Two coins, one machine, same power. You can also try hosting with electricity cost of $0.043/kwh if it is cheaper for you than mining at home. No noise, no heat and they set it up for you. With your budget, you can check this mining calculator asicprofit.com (http://asicprofit.com) to see what gives you best rewards. Goodluck! Do you understand the difference between 0.0051/kWh and $0.043/kWh?
