Title: WhatsApp's New feature. Post by: Joy- maker on May 30, 2025, 08:14:50 AM This is a New update from WhatsApp, WhatsApp is now developing a logout feature to enable users logout without deleting their accounts or chat history. As we all know if someone want to logout from WhatsApp the person has to delete his or her account and even delete his or her chat history, and the only to get your chat history back is if they are backed up in your Gmail, but in this new logout feature which WhatsApp is developing it will now enable users to logout of WhatsApp just as will normally logout of Facebook without deleting our accounts or chat history.

Is a welcome development, I recently had issues with my phone and my WhatsApp was uninstalled, when I installed it back, most of the messages I had and some groups I joined plus some other things I had including vital information were all wiped out, so if they bring a new feature that could allow us log out just like Facebook and Twitter and at the end of the day after logging in you still retain your messages then is a welcome development. And this is one thing about technology that I enjoying because it leaves room for improvement, probably a lot of persons might have complained about losing their information whenever they uninstall their WhatsApp so they quickly had to come up with something to fix that error.https://talkimg.com/images/2025/05/30/UXPokZ.jpeg https://m.economictimes.com/news/new-updates/whatsapps-new-feature-users-may-soon-be-able-to-logout-without-losing-chats/articleshow/121492611.cms Title: Re: WhatsApp's New feature. The idea is really a great idea at least it will save users the stress of always wanting to backup theirs whatsapp so I don't really if this knee features will now make WhatsApp look similar to Facebook because Facebook have similar features. There are slot of features in WhatsApp that really need to be updated to make the app user friendly.https://talkimg.com/images/2025/05/30/UXPokZ.jpeg https://m.economictimes.com/news/new-updates/whatsapps-new-feature-users-may-soon-be-able-to-logout-without-losing-chats/articleshow/121492611.cms Title: Re: WhatsApp's New feature. This new development by WhatsApp, although I've not tried it yet but it was a good idea that's been long anticipated by many especially for people who use iPhones and do not find alternative means to saving their documents on WhatsApp unless through the online storage. WhatsApp coming up with this new feature saves us a whole lot of worries about transferring WhatsApp data from one device to the other or moving it to the cloud. You just log out and log in again. But my question since I've not try it before is, does the data remain the same when you login a new phone number from same device? Do you have to merge data from the previous account with the new account or what exactly? |
