Title: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Post by: The Cryptovator on July 05, 2025, 09:10:08 AM When I am writing the post, Bitcoin is trading at $108K. If we go back 15 years, Bitcoin had been trading at $0.01 on July 4. If you compare the price difference, then it's more than 1B%. That means from the 4th of July till today, the Bitcoin price has risen more than 100%. Who had dreamed the price would go this high in 2010? This was really unimaginable—a 1,078,000,000% increase in 15 years back. This is a reminder of what the price of Bitcoin would be after the next 15 years. Especially a reminder for those who still don't believe in Bitcoin power.
Whoever intends to hold longer, it would inspire them how the Bitcoin price has been growing from the beginning till today. Sometimes I regret why I hadn't bought a lot of Bitcoin during that time, even though I had a lot of money to buy. Maybe some people will regret in the future why they didn't buy Bitcoin today. I found Bitcoin when it was trading below $3K. What was the price your first purchased Bitcoin? Let's share your experience. For me, I can't exactly remember, but it was between $2700 and $2800. But from now on, to the next 15 years, I can appreciate another 500% increase. The really birds who got into Bitcoin and held it until now would be in great generational riches. Post by: Free Market Capitalist on July 05, 2025, 09:33:17 AM What was the price your first purchased Let's share your experience. For me, I can't exactly remember, but it was between $2700 and $2800. Similar, around $3K. Sometimes I regret why I hadn't bought a lot of Bitcoin during that time, even though I had a lot of money to buy. Maybe some people will regret in the future why they didn't buy Bitcoin today. I found Bitcoin when it was trading below $3K. You only regret? It causes depression for me most times because I cannot believe the mistake I made with Bitcoin and sold off coins easily because I knew nothing about it's seasons, volatility and price correction. If I took Bitcoin more seriously in 2014, I could've been a billionaire by now.It doesn't make me sad or cause me depression. I could have bought more in the past, or spent less. But when I first learned about bitcoin I had already been investing for a while, and for many years I considered it too risky to put 100% of my investments there. The thing is that those investments over time have given me first financial peace of mind and then freedom of choice. It is very easy to look at the past, see that profitability and think how wonderful everything would have been if you had bought a lot and not sold anything but the reality is that 99% who bought at that time sold after a short time, some at a loss. When bitcoin was something new, unregulated, that you did not know if it was going to be banned, with a much higher volatility than now, you had to be basically either crazy or a visionary to buy a good amount and hold on without selling for many years. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Post by: Ivystar5 on July 05, 2025, 09:36:08 AM I knew bitcoin when it price was around $16k-$17k bottom price during a bear market was really interested but could get to lay my hands on it, but however I knew from then that bitcoin was such a very good investment because I had already listened to podcasts, news and read articles concerning bitcoin and how great it is and would be in the nearest future and I think the ATH then was around $60k which means I haven't been around for too long, knew it during the last bear market.
At this point of bitcoin and it's popularity I don't think anyone would ever look down on it if they really know it, because even governments are interested although it's not for the same reason we are here but to reap the hell out of bitcoin but however it's also a reason we need to grab the highest we can now. Here we are today and Bitcoin has turned out to be not just a project, but a revolution. I'm still accumulating as much as I can, but I just wish I did what I'm doing now earlier. Even up until now, it's not still advisable to put in 100% of your income into Bitcoin, better still use a higher part of your discretionary income. How about somewhere then at 2009 when it was totally a zero value $0? Not even the pro and enthusiasts of then and now including us that knew bitcoin was existing talk more of it reality of today that it was going to be this valuable. In just 15 years interval the horizon of it peak of the bottom form $0.01 to $108,000 the price of today in July 2025 is sunrising. Thanks it is a reality otherwise, such skyrocketing performance is what we may call nightmares. That is why enthusiasts are believed that somedays too bitcoin would hit $1,000,000 and the skeptics are still in doubt of it meanwhile non has for a foundation believed bitcoin was going to gain this global fame and the valuable potentials. That is really crazy and it all happened in a blinking of an eye! It's as if it were yesterday that I found out about Bitcoin from a friend and got into it back in 2014 (a couple of years later). By that time price was around $400-$500. What I like about those times is that price kept going down (all the way to $150) and I never even blinked. I've always been interested in the technology and the financial sovereignty that Bitcoin offers more than anything else.I've gone through a lot too in this long period too. Apart from that massive drop I mentioned and other subsequent rises and massive crashes, I have also witnessed so much FUD be spread about Bitcoin! I'd say one of the major ones was from a bitcoin core developer called Mike Hearn who one day called bitcoin a failure (a failed experiment IIRC) and sold his coins and got out!!! This is a reminder of what the price of Bitcoin would be after the next 15 years. Especially a reminder for those who still don't believe in Bitcoin power. More than 100% is really too small a number, so you could have added a few more zeros to better illustrate how much the price increase actually is. However, what you will most likely not be right about is that in the next 15 years, something similar to what happened in the past 15 years will happen when it comes to the price of BTC. My opinion (not financial advice) is that the price of BTC in the next 15 years could be x10 higher at most - but even 1 BTC = $1 million shouldn't fascinate anyone too much because the $ will certainly weaken significantly, and the purchasing power of $1 million today and in 15 years will be far less. Do you mean around 2010? Well, back then, relatively few people knew about BTC, even 5 years later the situation wasn't much better, and it wasn't until the big bull run of 2017 that people started to take BTC a little more seriously. Crying over spilt milk has done no good to anyone. What was the price your first purchased Bitcoin? Let's share your experience. For me, I can't exactly remember, but it was between $2700 and $2800. I started buying when the price was around $200, sometimes I regret not buying more, or selling something for a small profit - but I've made up for all that in the years that have followed. Therefore, my advice to anyone who has any regrets is to leave them in the past and make some kind of plan to accumulate as much BTC as possible, because if you don't, those with suitcases full of money will definitely do it. No, this is not a reminder of what the price of Bitcoin will be in the next 15 years because you should have a look at Bitcoin's market cap at first. In 2010, how many people knew Bitcoin? Only a few people and the marketcap of the coin was nothing. But 15 years later, millions of people (or billions) know Bitcoin and it's market cap is 2.27 trillion US dollars. There is no way for Bitcoin to grow from 100K to that levels in the next 15 years because the market cap is already saturated. Gold's market cup is 22.4 trillion US dollars. If Bitcoin reaches Gold's market cap in the next 15 years, it will cost one million dollar per coin, which means 1000% rise but I doubt that will happen in the next 15 years, but who knows?Whoever intends to hold longer, it would inspire them how the Bitcoin price has been growing from the beginning till today. It's an amazing stable and secure currency with a steady growth. What was the price your first purchased Bitcoin? Let's share your experience. For me, I can't exactly remember, but it was between $2700 and $2800. I bought my first Bitcoins around 20K USD. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! There are different estimates about Bitcoin’s growth rate over the next 20 years, with projections ranging from 15% to 50% CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate). Michael Saylor, for example, has predicted a 21% CAGR for Bitcoin over the next two decades. I believe Bitcoin’s growth will be much higher than that of the S&P 500 or gold. Unlike gold, Bitcoin has a fixed supply there will never be more than 21 million coins. This scarcity means that as demand increases, the price can rise significantly. For gold, when the price goes up, miners increase production because many gold mines remain profitable. But Bitcoin’s supply cannot be increased, no matter how high the price goes. I first heard about Bitcoin when it was around $12. Someone tried to convince me to buy it, but I didn’t listen I thought it was some kind of scam or nonsense. I wasn’t mature enough back then to really understand what it was all about or to do deeper research. I bought Bitcoin in 2017, but even then, I didn’t fully understand what I was buying. I was mostly caught up in the general crypto mindset . It wasn’t until I 2021 read The Bitcoin Standard that everything finally clicked for me. That’s when I truly understood Bitcoin, and I thought to myself, Oh my, how stupid I was for not realizing this earlie Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Obviously, while it is at a high price and it has been for many years, its price has increased every year. That if I purchase now I might endup purchasing at the top , then I decided to go in to short term spot trading , and I made a lot of losses then because I had know idea how things works then I was still kinda ignorant. There was when people were skeptical because bitcoin never made good history to look back to. But today, bitcoin has more than a decade history to look back at.
One good thing about bitcoin is that it has 100% positive history and as we progress to the future, the positive record will also not change. In the future, I don't think I will everly regret not buying enough bitcoin because I can never buy enough, I will only regret selling my bitcoin when I don't have any urgent need to do so. Post by: criptoevangelista on July 05, 2025, 03:18:34 PM Back in the past, I was looking for retro games to buy on websites from the United States, and I found one that accepted Bitcoin. I went to check how much something cost, and it was $1.50. I had no idea what Bitcoin was, and at that time, it made more sense to pay in dollars than in Bitcoin. Well, whenever I think about that, it makes me a bit sad, but anyway, there’s no way to predict the future.
I believe most people from that time, when Bitcoin hit $100 or $1,000, ended up selling, because that’s a lot of money. And in the future, when it's worth a million dollars, we'll probably look back at the $100,000 mark and think: "Why didn’t I hold on a few more years?" Well, what I’ve learned is not to blame myself and to keep moving forward, with clear goals and objectives. After all, money is meant for us to enjoy, right? We can’t take any of it with us to the grave. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Future is unpredictable with everyone but history many times shows it's rhythm and Bitcoin market history proves its ability of growing up more over years. If Bitcoin market cycle won't change to become entirely different than its past cycles, belief and consequent investment in Bitcoin will very probably result in sweet profitable results in future. If you believe in Bitcoin this way, actually invest your money in Bitcoin and have good long term plan of holding, your investment portfolio will have very good ROI. Hence Bitcoin dips undoubtedly are so good chances of accumulation with discount prices. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! I usually say this are just little storms that only a weak hand will fall into because an old bitcoin holder who has experienced a developer leaving will see this as just another news again. Personally threads like this are remind of how far bitcoin has come and the very long road ahead, 1B% increase in just 15 years is something I don’t think any asset which such value as bitcoin had ever done before, this also gives optimistic hope that $1m is just another price that bitcoin will definitely get too even though the volatility is not going to be like in the past, so everyone saying this is the top isn’t ready Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! At a time when bitcoin price was just about $1 those the invested had the belief it was going to get to a hundred of thousands few years from that 2011. Today, bitcoin price is trading above $100k. Highly unimaginable! As at then.Honestly, I won't doubt anyone speculating that bitcoin price might be trading above $1M in a decade from now. We have seen it and our resolve now should be focused on stockpiling and hodling towards the future. If we had missed it yesteryears we shouldn't also make the mistake of missing it again. Of course, whoever is ignoring the power of bitcoin and did not accumulate now, will surely regret it in future just like some of us that was able to buy more than enough when bitcoin in her early days is regretting today. This is why I don't want to misuse this current opportunity to buy more bitcoin. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! If you compare the price difference, then it's more than 1B%. That means from the 4th of July till today, the Bitcoin price has risen more than 100%. I found Bitcoin when it was trading below $3K. What was the price your first purchased Bitcoin? Let's share your experience. For me, I can't exactly remember, but it was between $2700 and $2800. That 1B% rise really shows how far Bitcoin has come. I remember thinking $5K was already high back then. Now I just focus on holding and staying patient. In 15 years, today’s price might feel like a bargain. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Post by: yhiaali3 on July 05, 2025, 05:35:49 PM When I first learned about Bitcoin its price was between $250-300,if memory serves me right. I don't remember the exact year but it was probably 2015.
I wasn't interested in Bitcoin at the time so I forgot it for about a year. Then I saw it by chance. Its price was around $1,000. That caught my attention, but I also didn't fully appreciate its significance until about a year later, when I saw its price rise to around $3,000. At that point, I realized we were dealing with something new and different. From that moment, my journey with Bitcoin began. It's truly amazing to see how much Bitcoin's price has increased since beginning of my journey until today. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! But the tax would be very high, if you gain $1Billion, that $1Billion would be taxed, in the end you might only get 60%-70%, although this depends on the country you live. Unfortunately, people who bought Bitcoin at that time might already lost access to their coins. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Human characters are always the same, only those who are sure who will get it, doubting Bitcoin is something that will make you regret. Post by: MusaPk on July 05, 2025, 06:29:54 PM When I first start accumulating Bitcoin it's price was around 20k and it's the end of 2020. Since 2020 Bitcoin price has seen some ups and downs before making it to current price of 110k. It's never too late to invest in Bitcoin like if somebody is hodling since 2020 then today he is getting 5x profit today.
Unfortunately, people who bought Bitcoin at that time might already lost access to their coins. This is true since we hear lot of stories about people buying bitcoin when it was under 1$ and then forgetting how to access it. But recent incident where whales have moved bitcoin from multiple wallets is an indication that their are people who still have access to their old Bitcoins of 2011 era. Quote But the tax would be very high, if you gain $1Billion, that $1Billion would be taxed, in the end you might only get 60%-70%, although this depends on the country you live. Yeah the tax would be high but in my country it wouldn't be that high or probably no tax except for indirect taxes. But then is it not better to 70% or 60% of a billion than not having it at all. Quote Unfortunately, people who bought Bitcoin at that time might already lost access to their coins. Not all, have you seen the news about a moved coin from years back over 10,000BTC bitcoin1. That's an example that not all those dormant wallets are all lost some guys just pretend to not have access to those accounts. Back then, there was no major pump yet, the market was still uncertain.
I managed to hold on to some BTC for the “rainy days,” and luckily, I didn’t end up spending it. I held it all the way until Bitcoin hit $20K, that’s when I made a some good profit. I reinvested those gains into a business that I now manage. Of course, we can’t go back to those prices anymore (unless we have a time machine), but I still believe that even at its current price, Bitcoin has plenty of room to grow. This is a reminder of what the price of Bitcoin would be after the next 15 years. Especially a reminder for those who still don't believe in Bitcoin power. Yeah, the price difference is huge. It was worth a few cents in 2010 and years later the price of one coin reached more than 100K USD. This is phenomenal but I don't think that we will see such a rise in the future. The best time for Bitcoin was 2017 and then 2021. ROI was highest in 2017, it was acceptable in 2021 but today it's not huge and I believe that in the next halvings, we should expect less and lesser ROI because the market is already saturated. In 2010 and pre-2016 times, it was cheap because Bitcoin wasn't famous and little money was invested into it but today things are different. Btw I'm sure that one day Bitcoin's price will reach 1 million dollars but from that point, I'm sure that there will be no longer 100% ROIs. It will take us a few halvings to reach 1 million dollar price per coin.Whoever intends to hold longer, it would inspire them how the Bitcoin price has been growing from the beginning till today. But literally no one believed it would go this far back when i came in. $10k sounded like fever dream of a lunatic when bitcoin was still $300. Whoever intends to hold longer, it would inspire them how the Bitcoin price has been growing from the beginning till today. But when we talk about next 15 years, imho it would be naive to assume that this trajectory would automatically continue. While some technical analysts try to predict the future price based on past price action, it doesn't determine the future in any way. It's just something people do with growth chars. Difference is that growth projections that are based on intrinsic value, aren't really comparable for things with speculative value. Title: Re: Bitcoin: $0.01 in 2010 → $108K Today | 1B% Growth! Who would’ve thought Bitcoin could hit $100K? Even back when it reached $100, it still felt impossible to imagine it getting to this level. It just shows how much trust investors have in Bitcoin. And honestly, I don’t think this is the end, hitting $1M is still a realistic long-term goal. Sure, some of us may have missed the early days, but it’s not too late to ride the wave. Of course, we can’t expect the same kind of gains from $0.01 to $100K as that kind of growth isn’t realistic anymore. Makes me wonder... is there anyone out there who actually held this long? Aside from Satoshi, of course. :) |
