Initially I did not pay attention to the option (ignore).
But I see the option to ignore differently from other users, I thought I was originally a mistake, but I did not press any button about the option to ignore.

Also, a bit off-topic but I have found the ignore option to not be very useful in the long run, as I forget why I put certain individuals on ignore and get too curious about the post they wrote and unignore them. Usually I ignore them again after the reason becomes self-evident. But an ignore option with a small customized label would be a nice addition. Just to remind you why you ignored them in the first place...

You can see that it is there.

Must be internet issue that affects the loading of proper html stuffs, in this time it's the Ignore anchor link. Check and refresh the page if it's still the same.

Also, if you ignore someone, that place will show Unignore not blank like that.
Just to be clear, ignore links are displayed in my part as well.

You are very correct, it is because it is his profile and he is using his account to check it.

The ignore button is not visible on your profile if you are looking at it on your own account. You didn't miss anything, you most likely just didn't notice that it is not visible on your profile.

I've been using this userscript (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5546968.msg65494065#msg65494065) with Tampermonkey lately, because like you, when people I had ignored write or comment, the user's message block still appears in the thread. Now with this, I no longer see them because the script almost completely hides these people's comments from the threads, leaving the thread more pleasant to my interests.

This is the correct answer, noone can ignore themselves on here. I honestly thought maybe YOSHIE was trolling us all to have a bit of fun when I first opened this thread, but maybe they were genuinely confused and now they know.

You don't have to bother much about this. This should be as a result of poor internet connection which could not properly render the BBcodes. It once happened to me on list items. The listed items formated like a list, but the bullet points didn't show.

I am sorry to say. But if I am permitted, I will say that the fault is from you. It could be that you are being a little bit aggressive with your ignore button. Just one drunk-like post from someone has landed them in your ignore list. You will end up having too many and won't remember why you ignored them.
I think you should only ignore a total idiot, an unrepentant troll, whose 80% posts irritates you or give you headache. By this, if you forget why you ignored them, on visiting their post you'll recall the exact reason why you ignored them. Idiots don't change easily

That would be great but, unfortunately, you can’t just ignore yourself. It’s something you have to live with!
