Title: Bitcoin Research Project Post by: jubtyjub on April 03, 2014, 04:04:39 AM Hey guys,
For my year 12 research project I've decided upon researching about bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. My question is "What are the social implications of cryptocurrencies?" I've been reading tons of articles about the positives and negatives of bitcoins but I am severely lacking in primary sources such as the people use use bitcoin on a day to day basis. My question to you is "What are the positives and negatives that you, as the user, have experienced during your time using bitcoin? My experience with bitcoin is limited and so I'm also looking for people to conduct an email interviews with. Could you suggest any "big names" in the bitcoin industry that I could contact? If you have any other points about bitcoin that you want to have heard, please add them into your post! Thank you so much! I'd suggest contacting someone over at Blockchain.info. Also I like the fact that bitcoin is relatively easy to use even among those not so tech savvy.

Good things: fast (transaction confirmed within 30 minutes mostly), easy (just need a btc address to send the payment) and the fee is low (usually just 0.0001 btc even for a large international transaction). |
