Ethereum just reached $4,400 today, only few remaining and it will break its new ATH!

What are your thoughts and speculations regarding Eth?

A lot of good news recently where Big companies are now buying ETH for their ETFs, and others will might follow the steps of including Ethereum too, not just only BTC.

Many bashed ETH up till few months ago but look how quickly the momentum has turned positive now, it is now just $300 away from all time high after pumping over 60% in the last 4 weeks.

I dont hold any ETH, but have a few altcoins that are related to it so i want it to do well and believe it will.

Many are saying it can hit $10k by end of year, possible but i'm thinking $8k which would still be great for us all.

Its great to see that ETH cross on that figure and it seems that there's good potential that it can hit more better figures.

Also looks like $5k seems achievably so let see if ETH can hit this since this is another huge milestone for this coin.

Some people even said it can hit $30000 while some people said it can get to $15000. $10000 is not possible in my opinion, maybe it can hit that later after some years but not now. News and people that are saying the rubbish are only looking for people to buy the coins. I do not think ethereum will even hit $8000.

Ethereum no doubt has made a bull run after a long wait and it's a good news for it's holders. Interesting thing is that just four months back  price of Ethereum was aound 1500$ and now it's double of that price. This bull runs shows that Ethereum has the potential to go up and their is profit in keeping Ethereum for long time. The biggest challenge for Ethereum at the moment is to break its ATH and if it's successful in doing that then surly it will touch 5000$ value soon.

Agreed. People underestimate the last 3-6 months of the cycle and how fast things move, ETH is flying and don't see it slowing down id be very surprised if it doesn't hit $8k minimum by end of year, I expect it to by October.

It's too much to say that $15K for ETH is unrealistic. Maybe they're creating FOMO so that people will buy ETH.

I've seen some altcoin analyses saying that ETH will go higher than $10K. Maybe they're too confident in their analysis, but I'm a little skeptical that this will actually happen.

Prediction --- The highest price will be around $6000.

I wouldn't hype Ethereum till it reaches $5000 which is the ATH price. I am seeing how Ethereum is also pumping gradually and gaining attention in the market due to the recent pump in price. Many investors who bought Ethereum will be happy that the coin isn't dead yet like people always say.

It looks like the altseason is nearer and if Ethereum price reaches a new ATH, that might trigger the altseason. Ethereum wouldn't reach $10k this circle, we saw how long it took the price of Ethereum to reach $4400 recently.

They like to give unrealistic prices in time like this.

I hope some people will not fall for it because some people may buy it and think the price will continue to rise like that but which is just news and some people that bought at low price and want to cash out real high amount of money. They will sell while the price will fall but ignorant person will fall for the unrealistic predictions.

Don't you think the price would go down even at this peak? Don't always have strong opinion on price shifts you can't control. Ethereum is a fine coin no doubt, but have underperformed in the last few years, that's why it seems everyone celebrates this new price development, all the speculation of 8k, 20k etc, isn't certain yet, I would rather predict eth to hit $5500 before year end, 8k is much, that's double of what it's done over the years.

Yes, that is true. Erhereum can not get to $2 trillion in marketcap. That is what the marketcap of bitcoin is right now but still higher than that a little. I mean if ethereum get to $20000. If that happened, I will slap myself to wake up from my deep sleep because I will know it is just happening in my dream.

Again, as I said above, many including you it seems underestimate the last few months of the cycle. We wait years for no price action and then all it takes is 3-6 months of pumping to undo those few boring years of nothing.

ETH is up over 60% in the last 4 weeks , Bitcoin dominance is falling , ETH has taken over now.

I’m not saying it will hit $8k next week, but it’s definitely possible by October/November time.

If i could recall well, many already lose hope about ethereum getting to this far for this year, until we begin to see all these all of a sudden, because things are not the same way we thought it could have been and that's cryptocurrency for you, you stand not to be able to get some things right until you made the right decision towards it, we cannot always be right in what we predict, the market can always proof us wrong, because i also never expect that we could have arrived here this far.

ETH will surely hit the ATH soon. It seems that individuals and companies are now revisiting what they've long left behind. It has always been Bitcoin this cycle, with a little reference to Ethereum. This is why Ethereum stayed for too long lower, against the expectation of the majority.

Now, it seems that the high price of Bitcoin is discouraging some investors, especially as focus and hypes are now towards Ethereum. Since more gains can be made in it, I am sure that more billions of dollars would be pumped into it in August, and that will soon make it hit the ATH at about $4,860. It is very close now, having hit the peak of $4,486 today.

It’s been promising to breakout for a while. This is only the start, Ethereum has a lot of room to run before we reach the top. I genuinely think it could hit $10,000 this year. Hold your coins, we still have a way to go before it gets overheated. 

I will be very happy to see if companies and government completely move to buying ETH, rather than Bitcoin. Honestly I am happy to see the price is rising because I do have some investment in ETH.

However, with Blackrock's iSharee ETH Trust is playing the game in the background it seems. Because it was launched in July this year and we are seeing the immediate effect of it. Let the dust settles a bit.

Impressive, isn't it? A few weeks ago (around a month or two), ETH was valued at $1.2k per coin. Now, it's getting closer towards breaking a new ATH. Regrettably, I've missed to the opportunity to buy more ETH at cheap prices. Who would've thought ETH would rise all of a sudden? You can see how big companies can influence market prices into their own direction.

If I'm right, coins with rumored ETF applications (Solana, Litecoin, etc.) will also experience a huge boost in market prices. I'm sure many are waiting for ETH to turn bearish again (myself included) to buy more coins at a discount. Only if market prices go back towards $1.2k. If not, a new bottom will settle in. We'll see what happens in the long run.

Ethereum holders are certainly enthusiastic and optimistic about Ethereum's upward movement, with the potential to reach its record high of $6,900 in the near future. However, if the current price momentum continues, Ethereum may test the $5,000 level, which I believe is worth watching, as profit-taking could trigger a brief pullback, potentially sending Ethereum back to $4,000 or $3,000. Anything is possible, as profit-taking can occur unexpectedly during price increases.
And I don't think Ethereum will reach $10,000 by the end of this year; $7,000 or $8,000 is a more reasonable price, but anything is possible, and we'll see, and hopefully, the outcome will be positive and meet our expectations.

The wait is worth it but this isn't the target that I am going to sell the ETH that I have. I have plans of selling and buying back it but I think the time hasn't come yet. But if it doesn't come, I'll just hold the ETH that I have and will wait for a better price in the future. Not that I am in need to sell it, I am not in a hurry. And those who have bought it during its peak, they're now in a breakeven if they have held it until now and there's a need for them to wait a little longer for them to profit even if it's gonna be a small amount for them. Current price is now $4592.

A few days ago it was below $2k. We've been waiting to see the new ATH for a long time, maybe soon to see the new ATH. Today the price of ETH was $4638 which is just $200-250 away from the highest ATH. The current situation in Ethereum looks like we'll see the new ATH within 2-1 days, now let's see if the previous ATH can break. Now I bought some amount of ETH a few days ago, will hold on for a few more days. I will sell it if it is $5k.

Maybe what you mean is a few months ago? As ETH price is hovering $3k for quite some time but it is still very far from it's very all time high. But all of a sudden, there is huge growth on the price. Not sure what the cause though, as I'm one of those who thinks that maybe ETH will not get a new all time high this bull run. But I'm totally wrong, there could still be a lot of investors on ETH.

Although I don't what to assume, but there could be some investors who withdraw from Bitcoin and the move their money on ETH. This is just my speculation as Bitcoin went to $120k and there is a possibility that it might hit a new all time high. But suddenly it went down to $118k and then ETH reaching $4k++.

This asset has been struggling to reach it's new ATH, as of today the price of Ethereum (ETH) has reached over $4,6K. With just over $200 remaining to reach that ATH. I've a feeling that Ethereum (ETH) will reach it's ATH this week if no bad news comes. We'll see how Ethereum (ETH) will make it this week or not.

This is a good news for Ethereum holders who have held onto the coins believing that it will skyrocket, I see that it's gradually paying off for them. Ethereum is the biggest hope of altcoins to remain relevant and be taken seriously because all the major focus are on Bitcoin which is the king of cryptocurrency. I hope to see a new Ethereum ATH it can trigger other altcoins to rally and push for their ATH also, it'll be good to see a top altcoins like Ethereum to being bullish with Bitcoin. Although I wouldn't put all my trust in altcoins because they don't have the level of potentials with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin dominance has ended, it is now the turn of Ethereum for the next month or so and once Eth is done pumping it will result in an altseason finally for all us altcoin holders.

No one knows how big the altseason will be, but it will be enough for us to profit after holding for so long.

If Bitcoin remains stable at 120k I am sure ETH will reach its all-time high even today because currently I have seen ETH already at $4736 just a difference of $150 which I think is a small number to surpass it, even though ETH is a little late from other popular coins in its increase in reaching a new ATH but ETH still shows that it is still a worthy investment for the king of Altcoins, congratulations to ETH holders they will sleep soundly tonight.

ETH will make ATH very soon and only a few dollars left. Altcoin season is going on. Today SOL started pumping. ETH will make a new ATH this week, it is expected. A few months ago, when the price of ETH started very low and dropped below $1700, those who bought and held ETH are now making more than 3x profit. Bitcoin and these potential coins are never lost if you hold them for a long time, but this long-term holding requires patience and keeping yourself away from emotions. Because we can roughly imagine that these coins will definitely make ATH but still we sell our holdings in panic and in the end we cannot be patient.

ETH has been tearing up lately, it's doing great. I did not expected a near 5k and it is going up great and I do believe that we are going to make a ton of incredible results. We shouldn't really focus on how to be that careless, of course we need to be careful when investing into ETH now.

Because it has increased a lot for now, and that means we should not be getting the same result, since it's already high, it may not be easy to get what we need from here. So if we can do this, then we should be able to get a good return, and won't face that much trouble. Not many people will listen to this, and buy ETH at it's peak, and they will not be happy with it. But the good news is, this could be start of alt season, and that would be great profitable period.

They are ultra bullish about ETH and could be the reason why ETH can go up this far in the first place.

Maybe it's because World Liberty Finance which is owned by trump and the fact that they could see future tradfi will migrate to ethereum as it's the most secure after bitcoin in term of blockchain security.

Based on my analysis of what I'm seeing and reading, I think Ethereum's price will have a correction now. For the meantime, its current support is at $4,562, with resistance at $4,792.

So, in my opinion, it will move sideways for a few days before taking off again toward $5,000. If we look at the chart, it only needs a little more to hit this price.
There seem to be people starting to sell Ethereum now, likely because some ETH holders are already taking their profits

I traded in ~ CA$80,000 worth of BTC yield ETFs for ETH ETFs starting Aug 5 because the yield payout was 13% higher. I started before ether went up so my gain has been 8.68% in 5 days which is ~$6,400. I started buying the BTC ETFs on May 30 so they have gone up as well. My 3 month gain since May 14 is 13.64% or ~$29,400. If ETH keeps going up then I may convert more.

Because they have waited for a long time and this has to be the time to harvest their yeilds. Even though it looks like the price would persevere to 5k, eth has gotten to a 98% threshold, traders are in profit, and the urge to sell would be high, which may delay the price increase of Ethereum.

The price of Ethereum as been struggling to hit the all time high but there is still hope for the price of Ethereum to do better than what we are seeing. The price is ranging currently and we might still see the price go down before ascending again which could hit the previous high.
Anyone holding Ethereum should be patient and wait for when price is going to it the previous high if the price of Bitcoin will not depreciate due to market fundamental analysis. There is hope for Ethereum and holders would have to be patient for a while.

With Ethereum spontaneous move in recent days, I am beginning to have more confidence than before that the altcoin season is going to happen and when it does, then it’s still gonna be a massive one that many altcoins will follow and record ground breaking price leaving many investors smiling.  Ethereum has always been the main focus of attention when it comes to the altcoin season and now that the Ethereum price is moving upward steadily, we should anticipate an altcoin season soon.

Well, I can say that with the current hype, gas fees will only skyrocket. This will make frequent ETH users' lives much harder. With higher network fees, only whales will be able to "play" with ETH. At least, ETH-based L2 networks provide some relief. Only that most of them are centralized.

To say ETH went from $1.2k a few months ago, to nearly $5k today is a huge milestone. Institutional investors must be "FOMOing" right now. Will $10k ETH be next? One can only imagine. We'll see what happens in the long run. :D

Patience is the key to making big profits when investing in well-known assets, such as Bitcoin (BTC) & Ethereum (ETH). The two assets I mentioned aren't meme tokens driven solely by hype. Therefore, holders should wait until the time to sell comes. Unfortunately, last night, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) plummeted again, impacting all altcoins, including Ethereum (ETH). It will take a little longer to reach ATH for Ethereum (ETH).

It is great to see that my bag is finally moving. Super frustrating to see ETH and other Altcoins lack of growth compared to others.

Ethereum performance hasn't been an encouraging one for it's hodlers as the altcoin has had a difficult time getting to a new ATH after a long time of it's last ATH, and just when it should break through to a new ATH it happened that it just tested that range raising it holders hope. Just to say, if there has to be a market fundamentals that has to affect the price leading to a fall without reaching a new ATH I so doubt it will make one any time soon.

This is how crypto works, we can wait months even years of down and sideways action. But then it only takes 3 or 4 months of good price action to make it all worth it.

Yesterday BTC reached its new ATH at $124,500 I thought it would be accompanied by ETH printing its new ATH but unfortunately ETH only stuck at $4788 after that it experienced a decline and is currently trading at $4640, I think this is only a small decline before ETH experiences an increase again and I think ETH will reach $5000 in the near future let's just wait hopefully BTC remains stable and does not experience a sharp decline because ETH tends to follow BTC, likewise SOL has also reached a price of $200 but is quite far from its ATH while BNB yesterday also printed its new ATH along with BTC.

It's true that if Bitcoin drops, it can cause violent shakeups in the market, but that's not entirely true during altcoin season. Once altcoin season is triggered, don't worry too much about bitcoin, altcoins will recover very quickly.
Like Bitcoin price dropped more than $7k yesterday, as it dropped to $117k at one point, but ETH or BNB prices dropped very little. And as long as BTC recovers a little bit, most altcoins will recover strongly and which makes altcoin season exciting.

Yeah that's true several Altcoins have already started recovering for the past week several layer 1 Altcoins pumped drastically even while Bitcoin dropped which makes that theory of Bitcoin drop affecting other coins less possible when the altcoins season is triggered. Anyways the Altcoins season is a better time to make lots of profits through Altcoins it's not a bad idea to buy some good layer 1 Alts like BNB, ETH, and SOl then wait for the massive pump ahead, for those who strongly believe in hodling for long-term, your profits after that pump can be channeled into Bitcoin and held for Long-term

The price of Ethereum coin increases very quickly and can also collapse very quickly, I noticed last week that various companies and individuals were holding a large amount of Ethereum coin, which created a bullish market. But it could not break the all-time high price, but Bitcoin made more excellent and broke the all-time high price and created a new ATH.
With the dumping of Bitcoin price, the price of Ethereum coin has started to decline significantly, but this August we will see another bullish sign by the end of this month.

Ethereum reached its highest price in history, then retreated slightly. Bitcoin and Ethereum are experiencing further pullbacks today. No panic, this pullback is normal even if it falls down to $3900 over the next few days. Once it falls and bounces it will run up past its $4800 all time high in no time.

Most of those that panic in this current market situation are those that got in for the quick gains the ones that jumped in when the price was heading up thinking it already heading to the mood and allowing greed to take the best part of them in that instance, so we have to allow them to panic sell, if the weak hand don't sell their Bitcoin, how are the whale a d diamond experienced Bitcoin holders will get Bitcoin at cheap price?

Agree, it's just a panic sell and maybe they're reason for selling Crypto right now is because September is coming and want to frontrun the red market.

They always saying that September is the worst month to invest and based on the history, the market is wrecked during this month.

After that we can see a little bit of recover, probably this is just another good entry. We need to see another ETH ATH this year!

Yeah im expecting a bad September and then green October / November.   Just a few more months to hold and then hopefully we finally see Eth hit a new all time high and altseason.

That's how it is, they are the ones who call trader, as they are going to squeeze profits one way or another. So when ETH touches $4400, then majority could have sold and take some profits like those who bought when the price is around $3k'ish. So we couldn't blame as this the game that they are in, but for some there could be long term holders that are not going to panic sell and wait for ETH to reach a new all time high.

In any case, those who are selling are adding liquidity to the market. Because we could still buy and scoop those ETH and then bag it in and HODL till at at least at the end of the year for a good margin profit. An so the game continues for everyone stacking up till this bull run ends.

ETH is doing great lately, even a fall isn't that much of a big fall, and we can make this work if given enough time. This is why I think as long as it stays above 4k, we should not be expecting ETH to be bad, and we can see it do better. Of course this isn't a guarantee, if it falls under 4k, then suddenly we can see a crash.

But just as the moment reaches closer to what we believe could be altseason, I do not think that this will happen .We should be expecting it to do better, and not really have any kind of problems on this part. This is why I think it would be smarter to handle this closer. It is not going to be that easy, but it can be done, and I think we should be able to do this quicker if we give it some enough time.

As far as Ethereum didn't dropped to below $4,000 it shows a lot of food sign of a better days ahead for the coin and as a matter of fact Ethereum recent liqudities hab shown it consistent resistance and recovery of you see what happening with the price you already see that a lot have changed compared to what it used to be when Ethereum was constantly falling behind in price movement.

Always hoping for an altseason to begin for the entire crypto market? While BTC and ETH are currently receiving money from their ETFs issued by Blackrock and other companies for purchases, even reaching ATHs is very difficult for altseason, because the money transfer scenario if it enters the web3 space or the crypto market directly will easily buy some of it in altcoins on the same network or in other visible altcoins. This can be done before entering the ETF, this dresh money can enter the ecosystem, but if it is only bridged by a company like Blackrock, it is really very difficult because there are no other altcoins available to trigger an increase.

Yeah, staying above $4K is definitely a good sign and shows that ETH has stronger support now than it did in the past. Liquidity and consistent recoveries are proof that it’s not just drifting like many weaker altcoins do.

Still, I’d stay cautious – resistance can flip fast if whales decide to dump or if leverage gets out of hand. Long-term, ETH remains one of the few altcoins with real fundamentals and adoption, but that doesn’t mean it’s immune to shakeouts. Better to review regularly and not just assume the trend will continue without corrections.

Most altcoins don't have the demand necessary to keep market prices afloat. Retail investors aren't that interested in them. What can only bring an altcoin season is institutional interest/demand. In other words, altcoins getting their own spot ETFs approved by the US and abroad. Other than that, I don't see them going anywhere. BTC and ETH will continue to rise, leaving its competitors in the dust.

ETH experienced a surge in market prices, partly driven by institutional demand. But it seems that the hype is waning, as ETH didn't get past its last-recorded ATH of $4,891.70 (according to CoinMarketCap). The cryptocurrency turned bullish today, so there's some hope left. Who knows? Maybe $10k will be the next target? Only time will tell.

After a wait of 4 years, Ethereum finally breaks it's all time high. This proves that Ethereum is good for long term holding after Bitcoin. On 22 Aug 2025, there is spike in Ethereum that took price from 4200 to 4800$. Bitcoin dominance has gone down to 57% and that's giving Eth an opening to go up. 

Well price of Ethereum now is $4700 and it is up more then 9 percent in the last 7 days.  It did make more gains then Bitcoin did in this last 7 days.

This year, the price of Bitcoin was just a little short of touching $5,000, but I really hoped that it would definitely touch $5,000 and touch the all-time high, making Ethereum holders happy. However, there is definitely good news for those who have been holding Ethereum coins, many people have kept Ethereum coins in large holdings and especially Ethereum coins have been accepted as payment by many companies.
The company has indicated a positive direction in terms of higher prices for accepting Ethereum coins as payment. However, the possibility of Ethereum coin prices rising again in 2025 is very high.

Already when Bitcoin was battling with the corrections of it market last week, Ethereum on the other hand did a multiple price increase that recorded a new all time high, that show a lot of consistency and separation growth, although Bitcoin is the major main cryptocurrency market determinant but aside that sometimes few coins can still act independently most cases.
