Title: Possible scam attempt ??
Post by: Hazink on August 31, 2025, 02:06:46 AM
After @xLays created this thread  User Chipstars account might be hacked account  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5557372.msg65748902#msg65748902) which moderators have deleted the recent post of that user.

CapGelatik  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1170746) just created a thread with same malicious spam/scam link  Interesting method to make huge profit on BTC trading  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5557474.msg65753065#msg65753065)

They are trying to teach about how to possibly exploit an exchange aggregator, which is entirely false and a scam attempt that's going to mostly target those who want to be greedy and take advantage of an exchange. From the guide, there is a script that the user needs to copy and paste into their browser console, which I believe is an automatic way to grant them access to whatever they need to empty the user's balance.

Yes, absolutely it is a scam.  no need to  spare truth  here, its loud & clear.  Anyone who attempts to use that sketchy  script nonsense should be aware that their account & their Bitcoin will be frozen, banned, or seized, and that it may be framed as fraudulent activity.  . he said more you increase your btc amount more chance you will get rewarded scammed.. lol.. so , report this guy and stay away..

As i stated on other thread[1], his activity is part of bigger spam/scam attempt that share "exploit" of certain exchange or website. They usually use google docs to share the details and sometimes mention changenow as exchange with "exploit". I guess they realize creating many spam thread/post with many new accounts aren't effective enough, so they try to use higher ranked account. Although i wonder those higher ranked account hacker or bought.

Yes, I have reported him because he has spammed the same message on different boards, I think I've reported 6 threads. This is a clear scam attempt that is spamming the forum.

He was basically trying to trick users into using his malicious script/code. Such users when reported are immediately banned or have their accounts locked

Please, you can report such users in this thread as well; Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182222). Mitchell has a bot that reports them ASAP. Trust me, this malicious attempt will be dead and long gone in this forum in a few days/weeks.

No one in their right sense who knows exactly what’s being promoted will want to damage their account for such. The user I question’s account is already parading with 3 red tags before the creation of this thread, so they have nothing to lose; either it’s the account owner themselves or the account has been sold off to be used just for this sole purpose.

Yes, I have reported him because he has spammed the same message on different boards, I think I've reported 6 threads. This is a clear scam attempt that is spamming the forum.
And since I started this thread, the user has also created more than 3 of such threads, some already deleted and some still available but locked.

Thanks for this; doing the report right way now.
