Title: Crypto casinos are shutting down in India! Post by: Bitcoin Smith on September 04, 2025, 06:49:49 PM https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/09/04/Un3UAZ.png
Looks like the new Promotions and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill will also affect the crypto casinos too, so if you guys have any balance in any casino please withdraw it as soon as possible and before depositing make sure that you are allowed to play or not. I am active on few casinos like BC, stake and a few others but only received this message from sportsbet.io. Any idea will this affect other casinos too? Quote The Bill imposes a complete ban on online money games. This applies to games of chance, games of skill, and those that combine both. Advertising and promotion of such games is strictly prohibited. Please refer the complete bill Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 (https://static.pib.gov.in/WriteReadData/specificdocs/documents/2025/aug/doc2025821618101.pdf) And yes, it also applies to any form of payment not just for INR, thus affecting any casino, whether it is from India or outside India will be banned and anyone who violates will face a penalty along with jail time so it is better not to use unless it is legally allowed again. What is weird about this is, this bill does not affect the offline casino or lottery. ::) Title: Re: Crypto casinos are shutting down in India! Casinos will start to comply and block traffic from Indian people eventually because of the bill. I am sure circumvention will come from the consumers side very soon and eventually things will change once that circumvention comes from the provider's side - obviously casinos dont like consumers to lose out on the fun. Let see how this progresses. Title: Re: Crypto casinos are shutting down in India! Let see how this progresses. Already multiple cases were filed in Supreme Court by these fantasy sports appsand asking to regulate the process instead of complete ban but it can take time until that this will apply and no casino is allowed to operate online. Post by: pawanjain on September 07, 2025, 01:01:41 PM What is weird about this is, this bill does not affect the offline casino or lottery. ::) The bill explicitly mentions that it is meant for online real money games only. Hence, only the sites where fiat and crypto is used for gaming will be banned. I am active on few casinos like BC, stake and a few others but only received this message from sportsbet.io. Any idea will this affect other casinos too? It will eventually affect all the casino sites but I think we will still be able to use the casino sites using a VPN. If we have a dedicated VPN server then I guess we will be good to keep it rolling. Title: Re: Crypto casinos are shutting down in India! Post by: henmark on September 07, 2025, 03:45:53 PM I was actually pretty sure this will happen sooner or later. Crypto casinos are closed business where sun don't shine for the government. They can hardly keep a track of the earnings as we can easily move the earnings and make it untraceable. Government will end up being fooled around while we don't pay any taxes on the earnings. This will be a big no-no for our government so they would never allow this to happen.
Government will start targeting all crypto based services as well so it is better to move your funds around or choose a decentralized services where you don't have to reveal your country of residence.
