We express our eternal gratitude to those who established our beautiful country like Nigeria and wrote their names on the pages of history.

We will all welcome the new year in a new way by coming together in one source. Our country is going to step into another year in the pages of history and enter 65 years. We will always work for the country to protect our motherland, our motherhood and all kinds of brotherhood. No matter where we go in the world, at the end of the day, we know our motherland as the most peaceful place.

Although my account is not three months old, which is why I will not be able to participate here, I have a strong desire to participate. Well done OP,  you do well, even though our government aren't doing well the Nigerian citizens are hard working, energetic and goal driving individuals and I am sure we would have great art works.
In between maybe their should be like a note with the member name written on it added to the art work so we know it was actually from the participant.

Our independence day is a memorable day and this creative contest will indeed make it more fun and colourful. Hopefully, I will be able to participate and submit my entry before the deadline.

Abeg comot that naira equivalent wey you include for the price. Actually, many people don already know say our currency no too get level again but we no need to dey publicise how bad how currency be for the global exchange rate. E go make sense if you either put the price in naira alone or in dollar alone to avoid see finish.

i must confess this is a nice initiative, the local board is becoming active this days. celebrating 9ja independence with a creative art contest  will be a nice idea even though say we no no wetting we dey celebrate for 9ja because of the way the country just be right now. i go try my best to participate am, at least for the sake of making the board dey more active than before, and for us to showcase our hidden talent. why i like this type of contest be say e go challenge us to discover the best in us, because some of us no even believe wetting we fit do until when e turn to challenge. so i urge us to support this contest the way we fit within our power for the betterment of the community.

Art is a very wild concept, so OP in this art contest are there any boundaries or just all out art which can be drawing or creative art. It would be a nice contest and I will be bringing my creativity into participating. Is there an exert date where participants will not be able to seen in their entry, like a closing date.

When the Op dey send give the winners, nah him know how him go run am to be the equivalent of wetin him put there. Next year we go get Democracy Day Carving or drawing and other events in di country. Frankly Speaking there is nothing to celebrate in the independent day in Nigeria. Nigeria is still depending on many countries to survive. A country that e no get any industry to produce something to sell is not an independent country. Ajekuta Steal plant would have been the number company to be completed and help other industrial firms in the country but nothing dey happened there. I don't know weti we dey celebrate here. I don't if really we understand weti be independent.
As I don talk am next here someone to come up with a democracy thread. I am waiting for that one too. Nigerians leaders e don spoiled everything in the country so mo even e dey interesting to celebrate.

It's Ajaokuta steel company not Ajekuta steal. But you are correct I actually sent some years there when the Indians ran the place and handed it over to the Germans, this was moving greatly there, free water in, light and there is a transport system called city train that moves around the city and it was free, top level school that was so cheap good road network and workers got paid quickly but now since Nigeria is handling the place it's become a ghost town. Regardless we still have to celebrate our independence day

The second initiative contest in our Naija local board one more again. These kinds of activities will maintain this board's higher level of activity. Since I am aware that some of our members are present but not actively participating, this creative art competition is going to motivate many people—including those who are not currently active—to become highly involved. It exceeded my expectations in terms of the amount of members who took part in the first contest, which was a Bitcoin fruit carving and decoration competition, and more members are still showing up to participate.

To be honest our Local Naija board is becoming very interesting this days with new new innovation , imagine celebrating Nigeria at national day, that shows that we are winning all the way taking our local board to the top and standing us out higher above every other boards in the forum. And if we continue in this direction am seeing I believe those around the world that are having negative impression about we Nigerians we be the same people's that will also speak good of us.

Well everyone has their own view point on this day, if di leaders wanted us to celebrate in those days, they would have making things favorable to the individuals or the citizens to enjoy but na to suffer di people in di kwatiri nai dem know. So how we go celebrate a country dat still depending on another countries for everything. Contest like this dey really needed to remind person like me how old our beloved country is, because I honestly don't keep track of celebrations like this and I'm grateful to OP for reminding me. Nigeria independence is @65 this year? Wow we really getting old and I hope that things changes for the better for every citizens,  we've been through a lot in the hands of corrupt leaders and as we celebrate this year may our prayers be answered already. This is a good contest that will show how creative the Nigerian people are especially for our own nation's independent. The Nigerian people got their independence on October 1st 1960 which has been a big celebration carried out every years showing how our past leaders were able to fight for this country liberty from the colonial regime.

This competition is going to show the creative in us and how this year's independence day is going to be celebrated. This is a big competition, celebration all together and I think op should have informed some people here so they can support this contest. I will like to support also if there is an opportunity for that.

Yes it is Ajaokuta. The g I used was a typo. And yes before now it proud it self as a giant in West Africa steel industries and to many it is has the biggest iron and steel plant in West Africa.
Our main problem in Africa is mismanagement from our leaders and this is drawing us back in almost every sector but one thing we have is creativity and we should be seeing that in this art contest.

Nice contest to commemorate the independence @OP, regardless that a lot of things has gone wrong in the country that makes the independence looks like it doesn't attract much attention as it does in the past when we were little but it's good to celebrate it because it wasn't easy for Nigeria to gain independence in 1960 and it's been 65 years of togetherness without disintegration but i think it's high time users get busy by creating their arts and submitting it instead of the numerous flooding of this thread with replies that are not submissions.

From my perspective, @op has brought a great Naija independence creative art contest and I would like to thank op for creating an opportunity for Nigerians to showcase their talents. I am very happy to see all these contests because naija boaid is now more active than ever. I will try my best to participate in the Art Contest to celebrate 65 years of independence and try to create something good with my creativity.

The Art Contest is a wonderful event for the Naija community on the occasion of celebrating 65 years of independence. I appreciate this event and recommend that such an wonderful event be organized every year. The talented members will be able to showcase their creative talents through painting and will be more aware of the history and heritage of the country. I think participation is more important than winning prizes.

This is a very good innovation and a patriotic way of celebrating the Nigeria society in the bitcoin forum. There's much creativity which has not been tapped into of which most people here are so good at what they do. The 65th birthday of Nigeria is so worthy to be celebrated, to recount all the ups and downs we've faced as a nation and still survived together. Independence is a place of emotion for every nation. October 1st, this day awakens patriotism in our minds and creates new inspiration for the development and welfare of the country. When I was a child, various activities were held in the school around this day. Writing, poetry recitation, speeches and drawings about the country were held in which I participated. When your contest came to light, I remembered those childhood days.
The morning of this day would start with the military parade and flag hoisting. As a child, I had a special love for parades. Being the son of a military member, I had the opportunity to show off my parades every year. I would watch them with great joy. The Air Force would play with their planes in the sky with white and green colors as if to show that the sky was like a national flag, drawing the country's borders in the sky and telling the enemies to be careful, lest your black eyes fall on my sky.
Anyway, reading your post made me feel a bit nostalgic, I could see my childhood in front of me for a while. I will participate in this contest, yes I will participate in this contest out of love for my country.

Nigerian is really at 65years, sometimes I sit down to observe and watch the things this country have been able to achieve and I feel like we could been better off than this. Not withstanding we can not give up on our dear country, we can not sit down and fold our hands and watch things fall apart we must arise and make use of the little opportunities that is to better our country . Even if we might not see the fruits thereof but for the sake of the future generation to come and the future of our beloved country we can not give up . OP you have taken a great initiative, even though our government is not doing well, Nigerians are hardworking, energetic and I am sure they will have great artworks but it would be better if there was a writing about our independence along with the artworks, I mean - if there was some writing about how Nigerians got freedom from the British Empire and became an independent nation through independence then our generation and our next generation would be able to learn and know something better which is why I am drawing OP's attention to this.
