Hi everyone I'm a bit new here so bear with me
I see a lot of people use a custom bitcoin address e.g  1NiNja1bUmhSoTXozBRBEtR8LeF9TGbZBN

I found  that address at https://www.bitaddress.org/
I tried to do it there but I have no clue how to make a similar one
all generated address there are different

Am I on the right path and is bitaddress trusted ?

To use Bitcoin, you don't need Vanity Address which is something cool but I think it is safer to avoid dependence on any Vanity Search for such address. I value my bitcoin more than a cool Vanity Address.

If you don't have powerful computation power with GPUs, you can not use this Vanity search well.

Bitaddress is legit but you should use it offline (by simply downloading the source code, and running it locally on chrome).

You can't generate custom bitcoin address using this website, it's just random address based on your mouse movement.
Better be careful when trying to generate custom addresses that are called bitcoin vanity addresses, especially if you are using website found in internet search.
I recently saw there are new BIP proposals that are making easy to remember addresses similar like email addresses, but this is still in early stage.
