UI & First Impressions

• My first visit of Changeum , page kind of delayed with loading up and with internet speeds of over 100 Mbps, I think load times should have been better not until I updated my Chrome browser as it is usually a suspect when it comes to such issues, and after the update, clearly the problem was on my side. Secondly, I love my dark themes, but not everyone will prefer this, and to serve all user preferences, it would be nice to have the option of being able to toggle between light and dark theme.
• Secondly, my test was done on a mobile device, and I must say that when compared to the desktop version, the mobile is well optimized and all details can be seen.
  
  

Coin/Token support 

• Going through the catalog of coins, I see top blockchains at the moment are supported here, more can be done but the selection of coins should serve everyone as these are pretty much the popular coins around, and to go up against the competition, more chains should be added.

Exchange Process

• Firstly am impressed that this is one of the instant exchanges that allows a lower amount as $15 when the competition is asking for a minimum of $30 or $50, big positive right here .
• For my exchange process, I wanted to test the speed of delivery (lead time ), and this being an instant exchange, the whole process was completed within less than 2 minutes which is what I expected (Time of reception  & Time of sending )

Fee Struture 

• tried to compare fees from a centralized exchange and two others for the perfect sample size, from the 4 exchanges I tried to find best value for my money $$$ , I must say that  the CEX gave a 1:1, then by descending order  1:1.995, 1:1.9946 Changeum  coming in with a 1:1 for the usdt exchange but before exchange it a1: 1.9985 ***impressive rates to say the least*

Users who want to perform a swap should find out about the available features, because there are two features, with different minimum amounts that can be swapped, and will also receive different amounts even if the value being swapped is the same. This is important so that they do not feel disadvantaged.

In my opinion, there are already quite a lot of coins available for swapping, and this instant exchange can be considered as an option forswapping, as they process the coins quite quickly after receiving them.


Live Support
No icon appears to click, so users who need assistance have to click the contact tab where there are 4 options to reach out, but live chat is not yet available because it cannot be clicked, users can contact via Telegram.
In my opinion, there should be an icon that appears so users can be directly directed to the available live support, which would make it easier for users.

My Conclusion
Overall, this instant exchange is quite good and runs smoothly, and everything happens instantly, including the coins sent after my coin transactions are confirmed on the network. However, there are still some parts that need to be updated, such as the live chat which is not clickable, meaning it is not available and should not be displayed in the contact tab. Additionally, there is no notification when the coins have been sent, which should be fixed.
This instant exchange is good to use with a fairly competitive rate.

Here is my review.

Here, I will not deal too much with praise and explaining functional things, but only with what I think requires change or improvement.

User experience and understanding design

To begin with, there is no need for generic texts on the site. It's okay to be new to the business, and no one expects an exchange to make millions of transactions from day one.
This is obviously not true, and spreading wrong information can only have a negative effect.

Also, this testimonials part is quite unnecessary, and at the same time inaccurate. "Excellent since 2024" and at the same time, it is very easy to check that the domain was registered on 2025-04-25, so the whole thing seems quite naive and automatically discredits the other reviews written on the site (I don't go into whether they actually happened).

Exchange

I just registered an account, and now I see that the order I created on September 16th has been saved, recognized, and added to my transaction history. After how long are cookies deleted?
- For unregistered users, the 'delete order' option would probably be preferable.

You can show exactly how much the service fee is for a float/fixed rate, instead of the user having to ask for it on the website. It is more transparent. The "info" hint only explains the difference between these two models.

With regard to your AML policy, to refund coins that do not pass your analysis, it is unclear how you do it. Is the refund made automatically to the address from which the coins were sent (can cause problems if coins are sent from another exchange or any third-party service, where the user has no control over the PK), or is the address requested afterwards? The latter could be misused as mixing or a kind of coin laundering.
This is part of the AML policy, and I think it should be more clearly defined through the exchange process.

For example, the browser can be set to delete all cookies and history after a restart. TOR users.
Instead of this, I would add a page where the user can enter the order ID and check the status of the order at any time.
Next to this, I would ne neccessary to add a check box with which the user will have to confirm that he has saved all the necessary information (order ID).

On the exchange widget, it is a good thing that we have expressed how much we send and how much we receive, but the amount is in USD. Given that all pairs are crypto to crypto, it would be very useful to have such information, the rate at which the swap is performed.

You should clearly write in your FAQ whether you operate with your own liquidity funds or through a third party. A very important thing for the KYC policy.

The affiliate program could be supplemented with ready-made solutions such as swap widgets with aff code, which partners could easily implement

Support

I contacted support. It took about 5-6 minutes to get the first answer, and after that, the support agent was dedicated to communication. I got answers relatively quickly.
5-6 minutes is not too long. However, it might not be bad to receive at least some automated message about the waiting time immediately after opening the chat.

Swap process

The swap widget should contain a counter for refreshing the exchange rate or possibly a refresh button. (Both options are best.) I noticed that the exchange rate is refreshing, but not in what period.

You should think about implementing the RBF (replace by fee) function. to keep the order automated. In the conversation with support, they confirmed that in that case, it is necessary to contact you, and the order will be processed manually.

I created an order 0.0005 BTC>ETH
I don't have too many complaints about the process itself, everything is quite clear, and the order was completed in less than 20 minutes. The slowest part was waiting for the Bitcoin transaction I sent to be confirmed.

Regarding the floating rate, it’s challenging to determine if the exchange rate changed during the process, which inevitably takes some time due to network confirmations.

However, there seem to be slight discrepancies between what was offered and what I ended up getting.

The moment the swap was completed and I received ETH to my address, I created a new identical order and according to it, the amount I was supposed to receive was 0.0137141

It doesn't have to be an important thing, in the end, I exchanged a small amount ($54). It should probably be tested on a larger amount to determine whether it is a percentage or just network dust created during transactions.
If an additional network fee applies to the transaction based on the user's deposit address, this should be clearly highlighted. Ideally, the fee should be charged upfront before the swap order begins.


I analyzed the coins (used freshly generated, and never used before, the ETH address) I received from this swap, and the result is a fairly satisfactory low-risk score.

The final conclusion is quite positive. Personally, I prefer this concept of instant exchangers.

Overall, the experience was a good one. I sent my coin and had it exchanged for a different one almost instantly, which I believe is exactly the kind of experience most people would love to have on an exchange.

Accessing the website:
The login process was fast and easy to access. The UX/UI interface is as well arranged, not clustered and easy to navigate around, very straightforward. I was able to login at an average time of less than 30 seconds, which makes accessing the website stress free.

Signing Up:
While signing up, just by filling my email and password was to give me access to the platform since it doesn’t require KYC. But an error message was shown in another language, even if that was not the language I have selected. It will only get one confused and not know what the error message is actually saying.

Questions:
1. What baffles me is how do you handle funds that users sends from an exchange? This was in the email received? It may not be likely that anyone using an exchange will want the service of using an instant swap exchange at the same time. Do users who sent without reading those disclaimer message get a refund of their money or funds will be confiscated?

Also, this disclaimer was in the email and not on the swap page where you need to deposit. No clear transparency in this regard as a user who hasn’t signed up using an email risk losing their funds. One of the quality of a good platform is transparency.

2. For every time I’m initiating a new exchange, even without filling in my receiving address, the most recent address used in the same network is automatically used. An error message should be showed to paste in new address anytime a new transaction is initiated. Even if I’m initiating on same network, I might want to change the receiving address.

Fees&Rate:
The fees are quite okay and when compared to other top exchange service, they’re quite reasonable and within the limit of not to be called a rather too outrageous fees.

Coin options:
You have a quite variety of coin options to go for, mostly the major ones. They all fall within the category of coins being used mostly on a day to day basis. Going forward, adding more coin options will be great.

The customer service reply differs from what was in the email i received about depositing through an exchange. Where is the non-correlation coming from? It needs to be addressed and fixed immediately before going live.

I was to test the speed of the swapping, transaction tracking and price transparency on what is received compared to what was deposited after depositing from an exchange account. But with the difference view I’m getting from the customer support and what was sent in the email, I hesitated not to continue to avoid issues arising sending from a non-compatible wallet.

Conclusion:

General Aspect and Graphic
The home page seems really clear and easy to access. Nice graphic. I didn't create an account (it is something worth it?)
The name of the site even if "common" allow to remember the name of the site.
Basic information about swap and how it works are provided scrolling the page down, these have been really useful to see (since I am not using really often swap).

ToS/Privacy/FAQ
Before making any other interaction I had a quick look on these 3 parts of the site.
There are no explicit details on KYC or FAQ (likewise in what case these could be required, or what to do in case there are some lawsuit/litigation).
After reviewing anyway I find the classic note related this kind of services. However it must be really clear on these aspects because its better to provide crucial info immediately.
OT This is mostly the main reason swaps are not the main instruments used by newbies. more clear and easy rules would provide a better access.
There is an affiliate and api program available. I haven't tried during this review.

SWAP
It was a very quick, efficient and convenient process. The rate seems on the average.
The whole process has been well managed, automatically! Including links and so on.
This has been a great note for me since a nice/efficient service must also have good rates...

General Comment
The experience was absolutely positive. I would use it again if needed.
I am not the common user that use those systems: it has been useful to see how these have changed in the last years.

Right from the start of the website, It feels really responsive and smooth at the same time when I click buttons on the website, responsive buttons, Smoothe animation at the buttom of the website is great as well, When it comes to UI probably the design needs more improvement, there are some parts that it is just black, I would say that it need more contrast on some part on icon and text.

Registration
When registering for the platform using your Google account, it was actually a smooth sail, just need to log in my Google Mail account, and it just takes 2-5 seconds then you get registered and logged in already.

There might be some issue here since it instantly registers my Google account, double checking it, and there was no actual code sent to my Gmail when registering, meaning it wasn't really verifying if the email I put on it was actually a legitimate email.


Authentication
There was also some confusion here since it says that my account is already secured with a Google authentication, which I didn't really set up at the first place.

Having the secondary layer on security is actually great so having authentication is going to be a good addition here, or probably just being able to use your email, or phone number as a authenticator is already enough.

Test the transaction with the minimum amount.
The exchange box was great and responsive; it has a good contrast on it, and users can easily understand it.
Design was simple, had contrast, easy to understand for users, and easy to use.
The only thing is it just needed more crypto token on the list to cover more of the tokens in the market.

No issues, I can easily see using these personally seeing how quick the transaction was.

Personally prefer not doing KYC for sure, and a lot of people in the crypto community would also prefer not having KYC, but I don't mind doing it if it were a respectable website.

I visited the exchange and it took seconds for the exchange to load. At first glance when I saw the background running some galaxy stars, I thought it's some kind of animations that suck internet data but it's simple, very fast and took second to completely load the page.

My first impression about the exchange, you don't have to registered if you don't want to but if you want to keep logs and history of your transaction with the exchange, you can have an account with just an email and password which take less 2 minutes to complete.

l like exchanges that are stress free, you can send coins from your wallet and get another coin returned instantly in minutes, you don't have to submit any documents just so that you can make a simple harmless transaction, they respect privacy and that makes them a plus.

I'm no sure why the exhcange wrote "Thousands of supported coins and tokens" but as of writing this review, the exchange currently provide upto 24 instant crypto coins and these are not just the usual coins, they coins with high liquid where you can transact and don't have to worry about too much volatility. The most important one that I saw that caught my attention is XMR, many exchanges has delisted monero due to regulatory concerns, this is one exchange you can trade your coins instant.

On the instant swap, the exhange allows you to send one coin into another, you send one coin and get a different type of coin but this is subjective to two different rate:

Float rate: Changing of one coin to receive another coin but what you received can change depend on how volatile the market is during the exchange. For example,
If you want to exchange an amount Bitcoin to get Ethereum and Bitcoin price increase, you will get more ethereum but if Bitcoin price reduce, you will get less ethereum.

Pros: This is useful if your coin is pumping and you want to use it to your advantage.

Cons: If the market is Volatile and decrease in prices, you will receive less coin and it's limited to $5000 for Bitcoin, ethereum while less than or equal to $3000 for rest of the altcoins on the exchange.

Fixed rate: This gives you a fixed amount of coin no matter the market Volatility at that time. It's the amount you get even if the coin makes an increase/decrease during the exhange.

With a signup, the exchange provide you with a user interface where you can track your order history with a unique transaction ID for fast tracking. This ID can be search on the "My exchange" search bar and the details of the transaction will popout showing the details of the transaction.

Affiliate Program

I like the fact that the exchange makes an affiliate program for influencer with an earning program but the commission is low, 0.25% is like a penny.

That means if you referred a client and transact $100,000, you will only get $250 seems good on the large volume but an average users will likely make nothing. The team should make the affiliation increase maybe for a limited time to attract customers,maybe 0.4% and then reduce it as the customer based increase, for now this isn't going to attract influencers to want to earn this small rate.

What I expect from the exchange and new features.

The buy and sell features should be made available, it's there on the website as coming soon but the sooner the better. This sell order will make the exhange a top notch since it's a KYC free, there is limited available non KYC exchanges that support buy and sell to fiat, this feature will give them more exposure to new customers that doesn't use instant exhange without KYC.

Caution

The general cons about the exchange: Your coins are been watched even if KYC isn't required, the exchange stated on their terms of service on the prohibited uses^[1], this is too extreme for company that says it's non KYC exchange.
Before you want to use this exchange, read their terms of services before making any exchange of coins^[2].

I am really surprised to see the site opens on Tor browser without any problem, like many loads and take time, some don't even open and this one opened quickly. I will be sharing my experience, things I did not liked and some suggestion and errors too. I might be too honest so I hope the project team won't mind.

1. I did not liked the way they are forcing me to accept their cookies with no option to close it, some sites allow us to close it but this one is not allowing really annoying, it should be left optional.

5. If you have some affiliation with Changelly, then mention that please, like I know you are using other exchanges as partners to make the deal smooth, but in the review, that should be mentioned. As if this person in the image above (Danial Sinta or Chris) used your platform and you then used the Changelly then that's alright but if he directly used the Changelly this review shouldn't be here, sorry for asking it.

6. On the Twitter page, you used hashtags as exchange, crypto exchange, but never used the term or write something like it is an instant exchange somewhere in the description, really confusing, I mean only in the hastags, I know you wrote "Instant, fully automatic cryptocurrency exchange with Lightning Network⚡️ " but in the hashtags it would make sense too unless there is a marketing reason behind it.

7. As you can see in the images below, some part of these icons are behind the border of the site (left side) while there is a lot of space in the right side of the site, this is not sophisticated, my screen size is 90% so when I zoom in to 100% and even in the 90% the lines become two of these tokens you listed (like the icons) when I hover over them they show which token is this but if there is another icon below it, that info of ticker does not show up, also not very friendly. I hope you get what I mean.

8. Reddit is banned, Medium icon has no link, if you have not made an account yet, then exclude it from there, it is also not very user friendly. Exchange Experience
10. It was too fast and smooth that I am really surprised by the platform. I exchanged USDT from BEP20 Network to BNB Bep20 and the exchange was instant like everything happened within 8 seconds, if I am not wrong alright let's round it off to the 10 seconds but it was really crazy for me haha. Great work here.

10a. I liked the stamp of time you created on the left side that's really crazy and very accurate.
10b. I received exactly the same amount, there was no uncertainty, or hidden fees, they delivered what they showed.

I just have three suggestions to make in Exchange section:
1. The Bestchange review icon is in the Russian language. I am not using any vpn, the tor circuit is also not set on the Russian country, then it is because the link is of a Russian language page. Please change it to English, which is more sophisticated and user friendly.

As a test swap, I decided to exchange ton for trx, and honestly, I am impressed with how quickly the exchange took place.
I definitely have no complaints about the exchange, as it took less than a minute from the moment I sent ton to the moment I received trx, and the fee was quite reasonable.

In addition, all the necessary exchange information is stored in your personal account, which is convenient if you need to track the status of the order.

The only thing that many have already noted is that the main page displays incorrect information about the number of coins available for exchange. The main website states that thousands of coins and tokens are available for exchange, while the API documentation states that 30 coins are available. In reality, according to the API request (https://changeum.io/api/v1/coins), there are only 24 coins and tokens available on the website at the moment.

At first glance, the API documentation is very well done. There is a detailed description of API requests, as well as examples.
I would like to test how the API works on the site, but unfortunately, in my case, this turned out to be a difficult task, as the API key generation process is very strange, while I am limited in time.
In fact, if you want to use the API, you need to send a request to the support service, and you can only do this by email. After you send your request, you won't be given a key right away. First, they will ask you why you need it.

That would be fine, but keep in mind that the website states that a response from customer support via email can take up to 72 hours. In other words, generating an API key on the website takes a relatively long time, which is very inconvenient.
In my opinion, this whole procedure could be easily simplified by making key generation automatic, similar to how it is implemented on many centralized exchanges. Even though the API is implemented on the website, it seems that the team is not interested in making it easy and quick for every user to access it.

Code review

No critical bugs were found on the website, but I would like to point out a few security-related issues.
I noticed that some security headers are not set in the website code, namely Content-Security-Policy, HSTS, and X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff. The absence of these headers isn't critical, but at the same time, it makes the site vulnerable to certain types of attacks.
In addition, a cookie has been set without the HttpOnly flag and the secure flag, which means that the cookie can be accessed by JS and via unencrypted connections. Theoretically, the absence of these flags could allow an attacker using JS scripts to perform session hijacking and, consequently, access confidential user data. This can be fixed as follows:

Overall, my impression of the Changeum website is positive. The main functionality is very well designed, with no critical flaws. As I mentioned earlier, the exchange process is impressive, given the fast order processing.
The only thing I didn't like was the API key generation process, but I hope the team will automate this as they develop further.
