Title: best countries for btc
Post by: btc78 on September 24, 2025, 01:04:49 PM
UAE recently just got ranked among the top five crypto destinations (https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/middle-east/uae-named-among-a-top-5-global-crypto-hub-for-investors/articleshow/124089279.cms) which consist of the following: singapore, hong kong, usa, and switzerland. this ranking involves, i assume, friendliness of the country towards crypto considering their regulatory jurisdictions.

would you agree about the countries involved? are you interested in moving into these countries or starting a business that is crypto related? also there is no country from africa in the ranking. could there be one in the future?

My country Philippines doesn’t even have a law about Bitcoin regulation. Our government don’t have any positive or negative stand and we are free to do whatever we want without limits and taxes.

They are trying to regulate it before but our government agency is busy on other things that can give us more money through government funds corruption.

I think you can add PH on the list.  ;)

I think what that matters most is the crypto adoption. If you check the countries in crypto adoption indexes, you will see some African countries there.

would you agree about the countries involved? are you interested in moving into these countries or starting a business that is crypto related?
I do not think this should be enough good reason to move to such countries. Crypto adoption index can easily be used to know countries that you can still be and buy and hold coins. Many of the countries also are welcoming crypto businesses.

Most countries are crypto friendly so if your country doesn't frown at those who are into cryptocurrency then why the need to move to another country? except that crypto is restricted or banned in your country and you are a crypto enthusiast then you can move to a country that is crypto friendly. For the fact that no African country is there in the ranking does not mean that African countries are not a destination for cryptocurrency, you can do your research, and you will see African countries that are at the forefront of cryptocurrency.

African countries mostly show high retail crypto adoption, but many governments still remain belligerent  toward it… There are investors anyways, but since most countries are not crypto friendly and some only tolerate it to some limit , those investors often stay low  to avoid trouble.
Thus, ties between crypto and banks work far better/ developing more smoothly  in those  countries, and because most investors and centralized players prefer such environments, those regions naturally gain more recognition & attention than African countries ..

Bitcoin adoption is growing day by day and some of this countries that are on the top list today we're not their before and i equally believe that with time some countries in Africa will be among the list.

You don't need to move to these countries on the top use of BTC, you can you can do any business transaction involving btc from any country so far the country is not against the use of BTC or cryptocurrency.

For instance, different countries have different exchanges supporting bitcoin and other cryptocurrency trading and of which you can make use of the ones that are supported in your own country.

Considering the US as one of the crypto-friendly countries must be a joke. The tax rate is high compared other other countries and also they are not that convenient when it comes to crypto related service regulations. They are hammering everyone with so much of regulations that lead most of them to move away or operate a separate one for most censorship over the user base.

I agree with UAE, that is heaven for rich where there is zero tax for gains which makes it perfect place for cashing our profit but make sure if you are not a resident of that country you maybe still taxed by your government even if you cashout in UAE and they call it as double taxation.

Any country at anytime may decided to consider Bitcoin adoption and create a friendly atmosphere for the use of bitcoin without them being mentioned in this list, anything in such manner could happen, all we are after is not about the attempt, but those that have really enabled for the use for Bitcoin by the people and also adopted it, just as El-Salvador and Central African Republic announced Bitcoin adoption as a legal tender without any prior noticed, which surprised everyone.

I don't rule out moving to another jurisdiction that is more crypto-friendly in the future, but that's not the only thing to consider. Culture, safety, ease of obtaining a residence visa, for example, are other factors I'd take into account. Normally, if you have an exorbitant amount of bitcoin or generate a lot with your business, people don't think twice about it. If you've been slowly growing your stash and have many ties where you live, you think about it more.

What do you expect, African countries are far from being among the crypto top friendly countries and at such, we have to see so direct regulations that have affected the growth and adoption of cryptocurrency in Africa.

Singapore has fantastic lax regulations when it comes to crypto as well. You do not need to jump through hoops to create a crypto business like in most countries. At least, that is how I knew it. If anything has changed from then to now? Who knows? Singapore may have had strengthening of those

Personally, I would rather not start a crypto business if I had to move but that is my personal feeling.

This ranking is based on the information available to India Times. If you do a search on the most friendly Bitcoin country, you might see a different ranking. However, most of these publications rank the United Arab Emirates (UAE) number one because of its tax-friendly crypto laws.

Nigeria once had strict crypto laws that discouraged investment. But the country is opening up to crypto with some flexible laws, which have made the crypto industry breathe some fresh air.

Thats amazing actually that there is no laws or regulation on Bitcoin and actually very nice indeed.

In Europe there are many countries which are very "Crypto" friendly with the number 1 being Portugal.
My country - Ireland treats crypto like any other investment and simply slaps a 33% tax on profits but I
have yet to find out how they find out about our movements.

I think a lot of countries have yet to realise the benefit of having a favourable crypto policy to attract
more activity from the industry and to potentially benefit from that in a second hand way.

I thought El Salvador would have been on that list in the OP?

Where's Malta? where's Seychelles?
Most founders exploit crypto-friendly countries solely for business licensing purposes. To date, our "best" exchange have never had headquarters. So, for investors to chase other countries under the guise of "friendly regulations" as a pointless excuse.

Most African countries are still having problems operating with crypto, based on the government regulatory policy on crypto usage, which states that bank should not create any inter relationship with crypto, that's the reason why most African companies are still holding back their full engagement in it.

However, i strongly believed that Nigeria would certainly come out when the regulation is been withheld, because, they are the highest usage of crypto in Africa at the moment.

Different countries are taking important steps for Bitcoin, but Bangladesh is not taking any positive steps on Bitcoin yet. How much progress is being made by the whole world and how serious they are about Bitcoin, yet my country has not shown any interest in Bitcoin so far. Countries like Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and even neighboring Bhutan are deciding or have decided to create a strategic reserve of Bitcoin, yet how far behind is my country from the 21st century update era?

Absolutely in the future. What is weighing African countries down on crypto adoption is their government. If the right government is put in place that supports Bitcoin. I think that will be great, as in no short time, the African country that does that will appear at the top crypto destination, as its citizens will utilize every opportunity of Bitcoin in their daily activities. For instance, Nigeria is among the top countries that trade Bitcoin globally, despite its government not being fully in support of Bitcoin for its citizens

I don't know what the future holds for my life but I want to have some opportunities related to crypto and so I can start a career that will last a life time to enjoy this passion which has been part of my life for several years already.

IIRC, there was Nigeria and they're rank 1 a few years ago not until the government imposed a ban or stopped crypto trading activities.

These countries are expensive to live, I'm not sure why they not want to mention smaller countries which have a good facility and also friendly with Bitcoin. I think Malaysia is the best, they're modern and the citizen can speak English fluently.

I thought El Salvador would have been on that list in the OP?
Yep I thought the same, they rank the countries based on taxes, government support and expanding blockchain ecosystem, isn't all of them belong to El Salvador too?

Why did Switzerland and USA are mentioned lol, the tax on their countries are very high, which is very unfriendly with Bitcoin.

Yeah, maybe that country is crypto-friendly, so it's considered the top crypto destination.

As retail investors, we won't move to another country because we already have crypto-friendly regulations.
To start a business, that country may be very attractive to investors, but I don't know how difficult it is for citizens who move there to start a crypto-related business.

I found the full list in that aricle which the OP posted a link to (https://www.henleyglobal.com/publications/henley-crypto-adoption-index-2025) and I am surprised to see that Türkiye was on the 23rd spot while UAE and all the others were above Türkiye. I see that we have received a very high tax friendliness score of 8.3 and low on everything else and hat actually makes sense since while Türkiye's zero tax on crypto is important it is not the only thing the investors look for. Businesses cannot accept crypto legally as a payment method here and that's probably our biggest weakness right now as it shows on the adoption score, 1.2 d'uh. UAE on the other hand received the highest scores almost on everything except for adoption but they are still light ages ahead of Türkiye. Zero tax is huge but only for the traders it seems. Any startup investors will prefer some other country like UAE, USA or Switzerland probably... I can't blame the investors, our government should do better. Congratz UAE.

I agree with these countries involved because they have achieved a good position in the top five crypto world through such a position. They are definitely coming forward for the development of their country and doing something good. If there is such an opportunity, then I'm interested in doing crypto related business with these countries. Countries that are not in the ranking can come towards the ranking if they want if they can improve their country's crypto. Although in my country a group of people can use crypto with pleasure without any restrictions.

El Salvador is considered a bitcoin paradise because everything related to bitcoin is completely tax-free. They were also the first country to widely adopt bitcoin and paved the way for bitcoin legalization globally. But sadly they are not listed in most bitcoin friendly country lists or not at the top, and I think the reason is simply because they are too small a country to be mentioned. It is an injustice not only from the media but also from the bitcoin community that many of us do not remember them.

But I have one simple condition for this kind of migration the country I choose must not have strict regulations on crypto usage. That freedom is very important before making such a decision.

El Salvador – first country to make BTC legal tender.
Switzerland – crypto-friendly with Zug’s “Crypto Valley.”
Portugal – no tax on personal crypto gains (for now).
Singapore – strong hub with supportive rules.
Germany – no tax if you hold BTC over a year.
UAE (Dubai) – zero income tax and heavy crypto adoption.

Whether we agree or not depends on how we interpret it. Like our country, we can still enjoy crypto, even if it's only a commodity asset.
The level of adoption by those who do is what I care most about.
Just because our country isn't considered a crypto-friendly country doesn't mean we're interested in living in one.
I'm still comfortable here, even though I can't treat crypto as anything other than a commodity asset.

If I had the opportunity to move, Singapore would probably be my choice. The reason is because it's relatively close to my country and the culture is similar enough for me to adapt quickly, but for now  I'm still comfortable living in my country, and the crypto regulations here are quite good. My government is now starting to see crypto as a significant opportunity for the future. I just hope the tax rate for using external platforms is slightly reduced.

Yes, we can see in general countries that treat bitcoin well developed and developed countries with sophisticated technology and where we often see Bitcoin is bad for a poor country, whether it's rivals or indeed the law of nature should be so appropriate.

If you travel or live, for me the country you mentioned is a country dreamed of by the general public throughout the world, what more the country treats Bitcoin well, it can be said that rich countries are rich in rich with the adoption of bitcoin and poor to be poor who consider bitcoin as an incomprehensible.

African countries are among the top consumers and users of crypto but it's just that it hasn't been approved by the governments of the nations and that's why the term friendly still hang at a balance but if this stats is to be check on users consumption and use of crypto then I think Nigeria should be up there but talking of how friendly and free it is to use bitcoin or other crypto in general there is still an edge over this but hopefully in the future things will definitely change .

Bitcoin is an innovation, especially in the financial world. Innovation comes from ideas, and ideas are indestructible (some similar quotes can be found in figures like philosopher Sophocles, Mahatma Gandhi, or Che Guevara).

Bitcoin emerged as a revolution, not an invasion. Since ancient times, great innovations have faced challenges, and we can see a similar thing happening with Nikola Tesla's innovation, and ultimately, we now use his ideas. Therefore, I believe Bitcoin is part of this great innovation. Bitcoin initially faced a lot of opposition and negative issues, but eventually, people began to realize that Bitcoin is very useful and has many potential uses. So, they began to adapt or accept Bitcoin, and ultimately, they had to admit it.

I don't see the need of moving to a new country just because they are crypto friendly. Though that's just me I don't know about other people. The idea is many countries which aren't crypto friendly are either not too strict with their laws against crypto or don't even have any laws. Actually adoption of crypto in a country depends on the amount of interest which it's people gives and how they choose to use it. The government will surely try to regulate how they use it but may not be able to totally stop the use of crypto in the country.

In countries like mine where the government aren't much friendly with cryptocurrency, we are still able to use it because they don't follow up that much..

UAE is the best place of them all. I think if someone wants to start business, go where the other crypto businesses and firms go and that's UAE. I think if there is lesser tax to no, this is the reason why the openness of this country has made it known to the crypto community and exchanges and other crypto related business go there. It's the best so far that even before, it was Malta that have been considered to be fine with crypto and had made some regulations that eases doing business to them related to crypto.

One thing I like about Bitcoin mining is that even individuals with large pockets can invest in owning a mining farm and do well managing it, that's why UAE among other examples, have wealthy individuals who own cryptocurrency mining farms.
I even read something about some potential miners relocating to countries with low cost energy demands and cheap affordable housing, less strict regulations and cheaper living standards and that's an idea that can make one millions despite the regulations in that region.

When more African countries take the bold step to meet the energy demands, have a good standard for housing and livelihood and make regulations and taxes favorable, am sure we would see more entrepreneurs willing to own and operate their mining farms in the region and would have as well created a source of income for others around.

If there is any African country that will make the list in the future, it will be Nigeria, because we have a large number of persons who are turning to cryptocurrency and investing in it to secure a better future for themselves. Our economy has contributed largely to it because many persons are aggressively investing to change their situation. At any point in time where we have a government that somehow supports Bitcoin investments and cryptocurrency, Nigeria would make the least for one of the best countries for btc investors. I believe it is all in a matter of time.

I don't know how the site's assessments determine these five countries as top crypto destinations, but I see that there are other countries with equally good crypto ecosystems, so this list might be a bit off.

Quote

This is likely because most African countries still lack adequate regulations and crypto ecosystems. Not to mention the lack of security guarantees and investor protection, which makes many investors hesitant to enter the crypto market in the region. However, all countries have equal opportunities when it comes to crypto regulation, so it's very possible that in the future, an African country will be among the top destinations for crypto.

I don't feel inclined to move because even though the country has fairly lenient regulations on crypto, that doesn't mean it's a reason to move. In my country, Bitcoin is widely accepted, albeit as an alternative investment but regardless of that, we are comfortable with the existing ecosystem. There are many factors to consider when moving, such as comfort, social environment and established stability, which are far more important than just regulations. So as long as my needs can be met here, there is no urgency to look for another place.

I think the fact that your country already allows for no tax is a huge thing and not a lot of countries offer this kind of thing so in a way I think there is a possibility of your country standing out above the rest. In some countries like mine, crypto is taxed.

My country Nigeria is not against cryptocurrency,in fact to the best of my knowledge, there no existing law against operations of cryptocurrency in the country currently.
There has been an instances where some youths were arrested for cybercrimes, after investigation if they are actually in cryptocurrency trading they will be released immediately.
So mainly crypto was stopped there because of the crimes that have been done due to cryptocurrencies.
In many parts of the world, it's always being used by criminals for their crimes to commit with.
But if proven that they are only trading without doing crime related things, they'll be released. It means that it's still a good law after all and they are looking only for the criminals exploiting people using crypto.

For online businesses, incorporating offshore would probably be the best bet IMO if you want laxer policies.

TBH, although USA has become much better than before, I still wouldn't consider them one of the top friendly countries for crypto as watch dogs are still watching. Depending on what kind of business, you may still have to get a license which wouldn't be as easy as other places. It could vary per state as well.

Another potential risk that crypto businesses and investors face in the US market is that regulations can change at any time. The reason is that politics in the United States is very polarized and if just one anti-crypto politician takes over the White House, everything can be reversed at any time. Like the strategic bitcoin reserve that Trump signed, it could be abolished and dumped in the next term if Trump's successor is someone who doesn't support the idea.

The United States is not the crypto haven or the friendliest country as many people think.

Yes, the UAE seems to have become the biggest crypto-supported country lately. If you search, you will find large numbers of crypto platform offices in the UAE, including Binance. Besides that, you can cash out your Bitcoin or crypto there easily, and you can use it to establish your own business. For me, I would move to such countries for business, definitely to settle my own business. For the UAE, it was easy for me to move there and establish my own business there.

Sadly my country bans Bitcoin rather than adapts to it. That's the reason even you can't cash out a big amount of crypto in my country. So moving to a crypto-friendly country will help me to cash out my holdings and start a business there.

Don't be too comfortable using Bitcoin in the "best countries".
Actual best countries should be countries where Bitcoin is used responsibly according to its principles — The local Bitcoin users in such places exchange bitcoins peer-to-peer or direct, buy & sell products/services (especially those they produce themselves) among themselves, for/with Bitcoin, etc. The platforms where the exchanges happen online should be transparent, immutable, privacy-friendly, etc, so that the government of the country where the exchanges are happening can regularly visit them (the platforms) to monitor transactions happening real-time, but that's all they can do, unless something illegal, immoral, dangerous or harmful is going on the platforms, then they will make a request to the community members to expose or deanonimize those doing the crime, through consensus. The deanonimization records and similar activities should immutable, and probably private, for future references/use.

Although various countries have taken important steps for Bitcoin, one of the reasons why Bangladesh is not taking important steps for Bitcoin is that the authoritarian government in Bangladesh fell a few days ago and at the moment a government agreed by the people of Bangladesh has been appointed who is taking this country forward towards development. Maybe if a young elected government of Bangladesh comes to power, then Bangladesh will also think about moving forward with Bitcoin. However, I hope that our Bangladesh, in line with various countries, will one day think about keeping Bitcoin in our country as a strategic reserve and Bitcoin transactions will also be launched in this country.

The list above can’t determine an accurate answer involving the whole country, I guess the most country populated with bitcoin adoption and growth are likely recognize more often compared to other countries. Africa countries are trying their best in terms of bitcoin adoption, viewing the high rate and demand bitcoin growth will definitely spread meanwhile countries with their different regulations for example the government might want a friendly bitcoin environment for bitcoin enthusiasts and still want to maintain regulation. Traveling to these countries to start a business is totally waste of funds, why not use the funds meant for moving into these country to invest aggressively because traveling are way too expensive.

This idea will be more suitable for businesses, entrepreneurs, who are looking for a more open and friendly environment than cryptocurrency to expand their business. But this is a bad idea and waste of money for individual or small investors like us.

Aside from facing waste, moving to another country just for bitcoin. That will make investors like us face many different challenges from living environment, culture, language and other issues. This is not simple, and it is easier said than done.

If I remember correctly there were a few threads discussing this 2 or 3 years ago, many people advising each other to move to a more bitcoin friendly country. But I believe they just come up with random ideas, no one does it just for bitcoin, because our life doesn't revolve around bitcoin.

The ranks are actually perfect, of course this are countries that has high infrastructure and has factors that we attract businesses and even individuals who invest in Bitcoin.
let us not forget thar it is individuals that makes up a country, and if our personal country are not equipped enough so satisfy investors they will certainly migrate to these countries, and of course increasing the evolvement of the coin over time.
Although government too plays a crucial rule for the evolvement of Bitcoin
So I will assume that this countries are equipped with a lot of Bitcoin investors and business migrant because of their social and International attractiveness.
So if you want your country to be among the least as well create things that's you attract individuals and businesses too

In those countries, their citizens have been adapted well to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies while governments are still against this industry. They see it as risky industry that can challenge their social, financial controls and they want to make as many barriers as possible against this industry in order to block their citizen access to this field.

In those nations, adoption growth is amazing as there are majority of citizens are unbanked and they have found that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can give them new access to finance and build up their wealth too.

What we are seeing now was not there in the past so we can expect something like this to definitely happen in the future. Since currently developing countries have taken their place among the crypto destinations in terms of ranking, and seeing these countries, more countries will definitely be interested. I believe that in the future, other countries may be involved with Bitcoin, we can already see that different countries are creating Bitcoin reserves to improve their financial position. In that case, if an African country accepts Bitcoin, then they will definitely be able to improve financially and they will be in the ranking. Currently, most countries have not yet legalized Bitcoin and they may very soon. As the demand for Bitcoin increases, its popularity will increase and different countries will legalize it.

Talking about African countries, there are certain countries like Nigeria where the use of Bitcoin for transactions are not considered legal. If you are making a transaction, you'll just have to try all means not to make your bank know that it's for cryptocurrency purposes or else your bank account will be flagged. With such system, I don't think Nigeria will be on such list anytime soon because they are not even showing signs. I really don't know much about other African nations but speaking of Nigeria, the government itself is against the use of Bitcoin. The only ways you can transact is either P2P or you carry out your transaction and write something else on the transaction description because anything that relates to cryptocurrency will automatically flag your bank account red.

People migrate for several other reasons aside from cryptocurrency or Bitcoin and you’ve mentioned a good number of them here. So, I wouldn’t look at it to be any more special as we have with Bitcoin in contrast to reasons why people migrate.

The only cryptocurrency friendliness we might need now is, not having unusual or unfair taxation system for cryptocurrencies. Living in a country that doesn’t direct outlaw cryptocurrencies but doesn’t support it is okay than, living in a country that might approve but unfairly tax it.

Switzerland is known as a very Bitcoin-friendly country, especially the city of Lugano, where almost everything accepts Bitcoin via Lightning from kiosks and hotels to restaurants. Practically, you can live on a Bitcoin standard there and never have to touch fiat currencies.

Madeira, a Portuguese island in the North Atlantic Ocean, is similar to Lugano in Switzerland in that it has a large number of Bitcoin-accepting businesses, making it a preferred destination for Bitcoiners.

I follow Francis Pouliot on Twitter, a Bitcoin OG and the owner of a popular Bitcoin-only exchange in Canada and the U.S. He is Canadian and moved to Costa Rica because the country is Bitcoin-friendly. On Twitter, he constantly shares how he buys groceries and pays for services using Bitcoin Lightning, I haven’t been to Costa Rica, unlike Lugano or Madeira, but from everything Ive seen and heard, Costa Rica is very Bitcoin-friendly.

El Salvador has introduced Bitcoin as legal tender. From what Ive heard from other Bitcoiners who have traveled there, Bitcoin isnt fully accepted everywhere yet, but there are plenty of places where you can pay with it. This means its possible to live there entirely on a full Bitcoin standard without touching fiat currency.

Dubai is also a good option however, it tends to be broadly crypto-friendly rather than strictly Bitcoin

Yes, this is the Taihuttu family, known as the "Bitcoin family." They've been discussed on the forum numerous times, and since 2022, they've settled in Portugal, as the country is considered very Bitcoin-friendly. Incidentally, it was thanks to them that I learned that Portugal is crypto-friendly, and I hadn't previously been interested in the topic of loyalty. I think you only start thinking about it when you're considering moving to another country.

Yes, these countries are pretty friendly with crypto, and that is the reason why they are at the top of the list. UAE, I think, is the most friendly of them all because I have read somewhere that they have almost zero taxes for cryptocurrencies, which I think is for businesses. Imagine running a crypto-related business and not having to pay any taxes or at least not a lot, while other countries probably have a lot of taxes on cryptocurrencies for both capital gains and businesses, if I'm not wrong.

About your second point, it's not that easy to move from one country to another only because that country is more friendly towards cryptocurrencies than yours. There are a lot of challenges that one will face when making such a decision. If someone has a lot of money, and they plan to go to a country and start a business there, that's a different thing, but moving only as an individual for using Bitcoin freely isn't really a very bright idea, if you ask me.

It is smarter to go into countries where they don't abandon Bitcoin anytime they want, the best ones that suits this more are UAE and HongKong, i know more  about HongKong than UAE, if you don't want any future problems with crypto regulations and bans HongKong is the best place to be, they fully supported crypto and there is no law that can stop it from happening, only China will always be where crypto will likely be abandoned in the future.

No national government is truly absolutely trustworthy, not even Hong Kong or the UAE, let alone the US. We have no guarantee that they will always maintain that stance or that the new government will be crypto-friendly. Any country can change its attitude towards cryptocurrencies, if it feels it no longer benefits from it. That's the nature of government, they always put their own interests first and not the future of bitcoin or crypto.

If I had to choose the most trustworthy country, I think El Salvador is the one to consider, not Hong Kong or UAE. Has Hong Kong or UAE made bitcoin legal tender?

Yes it is not just about what government says but it is also about how much people actually use crypto. Like example you given El Salvador made Bitcoin legal currency but many of its people still prefer to use U.S. dollar. In contrast in Nigeria government is strict about crypto yet more people use it there than almost anywhere else because of economy. On basis of these differences some lists rank countries differently some focus on government rules and others look usage means how many people are actually using crypto. Truly crypto friendly country needs both.

The government cannot force all citizens to accept bitcoin, but having an open and bitcoin friendly government will be key to creating a good environment for bitcoin.

With El Salvador making bitcoin legal tender, this means people are free to do whatever they want with their bitcoins. Not only can Salvadorans invest in it, but they can also use it as a currency, a method of payment. Can Nigerians use bitcoin that way? Can they use bitcoin as currency and be welcomed by the government?
Not to mention, even though Nigerians are accepting and using bitcoin more, can they continue to do so comfortably and freely if the government imposes a ban again?

So, it would be a serious omission if El Salvador were not listed among the countries with the best environments for BTC.

I'm not interested to move to another country but can visit and come. I don't know if the ranking done in every year because last year I was seen other countries on the row. And definitely there will be more in the future. Nigeria, South Africa and other African countries will definitely be among the top 10 crypto countries in the world. But what bothers me is El Salvador which was the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender yet he is not among the best countries in bitcoin ot crypto.
I don't know the source from which they got their data, but even if it's being rated by countries with the most crypto users, you don't expect El Salvador to be among the top because they make bitcoin legal tender. That does not mean their citizens embrace bitcoin like other countries do. It's something. Nigeria, in some data, usually shows up among the top countries with the most rising interest in crypto, while some data don't even include them among the top 10.

It's important to let people know why they would want to use BTC in the first place: it's not another name for the usual fiat system, it's something more packed with so much more to learn and use.

Using El Salvador as an example of system implementation, I believe it's the first country being used as a model for other countries, where they believe shortcomings can be addressed by other countries that want to implement it.

No government would want to force its citizens to accept Bitcoin, but a wise government that cares about transparency and preventing corrupt cultural practices could implement the blockchain system as a financial management system.
This could be a solution for developing countries that still struggle with bad financial practices.

Even if it doesn't legalize Bitcoin like El Salvador, at least making Bitcoin a national reserve is a very good idea, rather than investing the money elsewhere.

I agree that governments cannot force anyone to use Bitcoin  but they can create a positive environment where citizens can take advantage of alternative financial systems. The example of El Salvador is certainly important  but whether it is ideal for all countries depends on the situation. If there is a ban  ordinary people will turn to online peer to peer transactions  but it is difficult to say whether it will be safe or sustainable. The reality is that the benefits of Bitcoin will only come when citizens have freedom  knowledge  and technology in their hands.

The same can never happen in Nigeria unless a bitcoin friendly president is elected, right now the government is looking  for all way possible to task crypto holders, this is the latest in the country, which is so cruel, for a country that's less developed economic wise and unrest of insecurity, the only thing the government can think about is tax on crypto. EL Salvador and HongKong are the most Bitcoin friendly places that I know, nothing comes close to these two.

In my opinion, I’d say that the ranking is actually fair because the countries you mentioned above have built quite a notable reputation for being innovative and friendly as it concerns Bitcoin, so yeah, it makes a lot sense to include them in  the top five.
Although I believe Africa is still coming around, for the past few years, the demand for crypto across Africa is rapidly increasing, the only problem with Africa is that they have no clear rules or regulations guiding crypto adoption or crypto currency itself.  If they can manage to do this, it’ll create a more suitable environment for enthusiasts.

Countries with good infrastructure and political stability are the ones that attract investors and businessmen. Changing countries for Bitcoin is only for those who have huge money. Those who have the ability to mine will not have any financial problems even if they leave their place. However, for ordinary people, small investments in Bitcoin should be made in their own country. The current President of the United States is interested in Bitcoin as a strategic currency reserve, which is why the United States has recognition for investing in Bitcoin. However, the situation in that country may change if the next government is anti-Bitcoin. Again, such a picture can happen at any time for any other country. So I am interested in traveling to any country but not just going to emigrate for Bitcoin.

For some reason, the US doesn't seem like the "best country for bitcoin" to me. Maybe it's because of their greed with taxes? :)

Prices in the UAE are absolutely uninspiring. I would only imagine early bitcoiners moving there. :)

Singapore and Hong Kong are also quite expensive.

For example, can you imagine buying real estate (the very first thing you need when moving) in these countries? You could go broke!

I think that in the future, the "best countries for bitcoin relocation" will change their stance and start introducing taxes (small ones at first) once the number of BTC-users increases in their location.
And if stop whining about "it's expensive to live in these countries," then in theory, these countries offer good opportunities for starting a new life after transferring "value" from bitcoin into traditional forms of money. Zero taxes are what bitcoiners need, and your country of residence will still receive a share of the profits from the business you create or the property you purchase. I still believe that the future belongs to these countries, whose loyalty to bitcoin will attract BTC-investors to their countries, and therefore capital, which will allow them to economically outperform countries that are opposed to bitcoin.

It would be nice to hold a poll and find out how many forum members have already moved to one of these countries. :)

We need to remember that convenience and freedom are what everyone, including you and I, desires most when it comes to financial matters. Right? If so, then the Bitcoin system for transactions and storage is the best because it doesn't involve or is not regulated by a third party.

As for whether El Salvador is an ideal country with Bitcoin as legal tender? My answer is not necessarily because the pros and cons will never disappear wherever there are people with brains to think.
Whether this technology is recognized or not, I believe it needs to be considered in terms of its use for the sake of transparency in state financial management.

Countries on the initial list are good only if you have big buck going, as others already outlined.

Sure, they would have more regualtions / adoption going even now, but it wouldn't be enough to move to them.. You would need to pack some real punch to such an intent.

Dubai is a very crypto-friendly country, there is no tax on crypto. That is why most crypto businessmen prefer Dubai. And corrupt people from most Asian countries take the money they have earned through crypto to Dubai and sell it there because there is no tax on crypto. I myself like Dubai because it is a country where one can live a luxurious life. And if I had that kind of money, I would definitely choose Dubai for a luxurious life.

I think Africa is big country And that country will learn about the investment of BTC . BTC is best investment for all people because it is not too risky and physical business is more risky that Bitcoin investment. People should learn more about BTC in the Africa and we will see more countries of Africa in the support of Bitcoin. USA is a country in which more people are free and these people have idea of investment and they have more knowledge of cryptocurrency and we are watching best investors in that country .UAE has millions of people who are doing trade of Bitcoin because they have a bulk of money on side and they want to gain profit and they are Investing the money for that long run .

My country Philippines doesn’t even have a law about Bitcoin regulation. Our government don’t have any positive or negative stand and we are free to do whatever we want without limits and taxes.
That is the best kind of country for Bitcoin. The less governments get involved in Bitcoin matters, less regulations, bureaucracy and taxes to be paid. Plain and simple, just like it used to be during the early days of this industry. There wasn't mandatory KYC and you could access a much wider range of crypto platforms without getting concerned if your country was restricted or not. It meant more opportunities for everyone.

However, it's just a matter of time until Philippines leaves the neutral stance towards Bitcoin. Every governments are regulating crypto industry, because it has reached a significant portion of their citizens already. So, of course, governments want to profit from transactions and services involved, and Philippines must not be an exception.

You are right because if we look at the best and most popular Bitcoin in the world, we should know about it. Everyone is giving their own opinion. If I look at it according to my thinking and as much as I have seen, it is the city in America where the most Bitcoin is used and worked on. It is also right that it is best and necessary to know how much Bitcoin they have now and what they can do with it.

With the recent news of CZ the former CEO of Binance visiting Bhutan it shed a light of how crypto-friendly this country truly is especially with them revealing they now have a bitcoin reserve and amassing several thousands the past several years from it.

Bitcoin is decentralized so you don't necessarily need to move into a Bitcoin friendly country to hold it, besides most people that holds Bitcoin is for profit purposes, they will rather hodl it for a long term than spend it. I think what matters the most is that it is not banned in your country of residence where you can be prosecuted if found to be in possession of Bitcoin. I look forward to a future where there will no longer be bans and discrimination against Bitcoin holders anywhere in the world, in that regard I also believe that these Bitcoin friendly countries will encourage others to do the same.

I don't have enough Bitcoin to move into those countries yet, I'm still at my accumulation phase, maybe in a couple of years I will be able to have enough Bitcoin to enable me travel at will and not necessarily for work, just leisure. I like my country and the career I have hear, so will make do with that for sometime unless something changes. My country does not have strict laws against Bitcoin so I could use Bitcoin to do a lot of things which means there is no urgency for me to relocate.

So singapore is also in the list that is more surprising for me haha, as UAE has been doing a lot of things for the investors, they basically giving relaxation to millionaire and billionaires, they provide top level security, health, and no tax problem to the rich, although when there are too many good things for the rich there comes too many bad facilities for the poor too.

Although anyone working a technical job in UAE is also earning good. Anyway, I am glad for their new achievement, and they are going to do many other things for crypto users in the future that may take them to the second number.

I am more interested into moving into Switzerland after USA, haha but USA is my first option for now, I might visit the Switzerland whenever I will have enough money.
