Title: Condoras RIP my friend
Post by: yahoo62278 on October 02, 2025, 03:40:00 AM
I have been waiting for confirmation for a few days before making this post. September 26th I was contacted by a well known forum member(whom will remain anonymous unless they give permission to use their name) regarding condoras. They were contacted by his wife, who also confirmed to me a couple hours later, that condoras had indeed passed away September 24th of a heart attack.

I met condoras through the lending section of this forum and we communicated on the forum through PM for quite awhile starting in  early 2021. Never really much more then asking for a repayment address or a bunch of little small talk. In August of 2022 all of that had changed, we started talking a lot on telegram and sharing pictures. He took a huge interest in my health issues(starting back in October of 2021 when my open heart happened). We seemed to talk a few times a week about nearly everything and he always felt very sincere with his words.

This is 1 of the few men on this forum I had ever exchanged addresses with, bought presents for, loads of pictures(especially when he was moving across the ocean), and felt like a genuine friend. I hope he felt the same for me as I will miss our talks and checking in with each other. I will miss him trying to challenge my mind, discussing politics(He wasn't a fan of politicians BTW, especially in Greece).

We(my wife and I) had just helped him rewrite a letter for his business that he was trying to get started a couple weeks earlier. I had sent him a message the day he passed that was read but he hadn't replied to, which was odd as he usually responds within a couple hours at most. Then I found out why he never responded when his wife messaged me and confirmed the news. Just goes to show you that people are here 1 minute and can be gone the next.

I could say a bunch more, but I am not good at this sort of thing. If any of you wish to share any stories you might have about condoras, feel free to. I will leave this open for a few weeks so that people may say a few kind words and also so that people are informed.

Rest in Peace my friend. I will miss you.

I am not making this self moderated so please keep it civil.

I would like to express my deepest condolences for the passing of Condoras... He was a well-known member of the forum with his business here, “Lending,” although I myself never tried to apply for a loan from him.

Or interacted with him in any way.

Honestly, this news came as a shock to me I thought he hadn't been active for the past few days, maybe because he was busy with real-life matters... but it turns out you're bringing us this deeply sad news.

Condoras was last active on September 26 was it his wife or family who opened this account? I'm just curious.

Condoras, may you rest in peace with God.

This is truly shocking. I can't believe it, how why when?. I'm totally blank, don't even know how to respond. He even replied to my message on September 17 and now it feels so unreal. Someone who was with us a couple of days ago isn't here anymore . I can imagine the pain you must be feeling loosing your precious friend. Its unbearable...

I pray that God almighty takes Condoras a better place, that he finds peace there.

Ouch!, what a bad news this is and a heavy loss to both the forum, his family, friends and well wishers. Everytime we lose someone it reminds us that we're drawing closer to our end. Death takes no permission and it's cold hands could snatch a friend even when you need the person the most. Going through his profile, I see that a lot of people spoke good of him, it's good he left a good legacy of which he'll be remembered. Rest in peace Condoras and may the Almighty God grant you eternal rest and give your family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.

This is truly terrible news, which unfortunately I had already been told but hadn't yet been officially confirmed so I still I still held out hope that it wasn't true.
I'd had a couple of small exchanges with him, but mostly we'd had pleasant conversations about many and varied topics, and I must say he was truly a wonderful person. It's a shame that fate was so cruel to him, who had relatively recently made some important life decisions and, without going into details, was living his dream. And just when everything was going well, he left.
Life is unfair sometimes.

May the earth be light upon you.

I am deeply saddened by this news of Condorus death. In losing him we have not only lost a forum member but we have lost a true friend, a steadfast guardian of integrity. For years he stood alone in the fight against scams & loan defaulters, he saving many with loans who had nowhere else to go

His presence in our community was a voice of light, reason, faith & courage. It is hard to believe that one of our most trusted allies is gone. His absence has left a void that may never be filled.

Wherever his journey took him, may he rest in peace. May his soul rest in peace and may his legacy of integrity and compassion live on in us.

What a big loss to this community! He was so helpful in the lending section even though I have not done business with him before but I do see how he help people with loans that comes with flexible repayment plans. We will surely miss him and his services. I pray that God grant the family, friends and all of us the fortitude to bear this great loss. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Death is an eternal truth, this truth can never be stopped. Today or tomorrow, everyone has to taste death. But some deaths are so painful that they can never be accepted. There were some forum members in our forum whose absence now leaves a void in our hearts. We miss many important members of the forum today who once made significant contributions to this forum and whose contributions we have not forgotten to this day. Condorus, was a member who contributed a lot to the forum. Today, on behalf of our Bitcoin Forum, we express our deepest condolences on his passing.

RIP , Condoras

Condoras He was a good and well-known user, he was with a good reputation for a long time and we are saddened by his death. Because people do not come to this world to stay for a long time, we are deeply saddened by his death and we will pray for him so that he can live happily in that world of loneliness.
He has gone to the land of no return where every person has to step, but he left this forum with a good reputation, it is difficult to say goodbye to his death.

This is a sad news, that means it's how everyone will leave this forum one by one, it's shocking that one day you and I will be no more, and when i remember that, i have no option than to keep a good legacy for myself...

Everyone need to keep a good legacy so that when we depart some people will remember him or her for good doing...I don't know much about condoras, but I enjoy reading his comments especially in lending section, due to the way he quote and respond to people, it seems to be good man to me..even on 22nd I came across of his post he made on 22nd,  that's why it's surprising to me that he has passed on...

May his gentle soul rest in "BOSOM OF THE LORD."

There is no preparation for death, a hard truth to accept.

We lost a friend and a colleague, no personal conversations but the forum related our interest.

RIP Condoras, may you find peace in eternal life, and your departure a relief from life struggle.

Rest well colleague.

Hi everyone, this is so sad, I want to use this opportunity to extend my condolence to his wife, and to this platform for missing and dear brother Condoras, may is soul rest in peace, we will forever missing you brother Condoras.

Please I want to use this opportunity to appeal to this forum if we can reach out to his wife true any means of communication, because I know how it feels to lose someone, because I remember when I lost my dad last year, it was not easy for my mother if not for my father's close friend that was helping with text message and calls, I was so sad when I hear this story, who knows if he would have been helper one day.

I don't think reaching out to his wife would be smart for just anyone to do. She has my number and knows she can message or text anytime, she is also speaking with someone else from the forum, and she has family she can talk to. Random people IMO is not what she needs right now.

Is there a cause condoras or his loved ones would recommend make a donation to in his honour?
It's a local tradition to donate in place of flowers (and if the family doesn't want money). If anyone knows please share.

We were exchanging posts in this forum every week, it's very sad to see him go so suddenly. All the best to his loved ones.
If help could be lent in some other way to the family I'm also open as a fellow Greek.

I didn't have any personal dealings with him but from the OP, it shows that he is a very sincere person and worth to be a friend. We will forever miss you and we hope the wound you left in our hearts heals fast. May the good lord give his friends and family the grace to bear the loss.

It's such terrible news today, it completely ruined my mood. He was an amazing guy. I remember when I wanted to take a loan for the first time on this forum and he was the only guy who trusted me when I was still a new on this forum in 2016-2017. He helped me multiple times besides that. When I needed money, he was always here. I and him sometimes had friendly conversations. He wanted to visit my country one day and I promised him that I would let him stay at my house and I would show him our historical buildings, taste him our traditional food and etc...

I don't want to reveal anything about him but he had some serious weight problems and it's probably the reason of his heart attack, I'm not 100% sure but I think it can be the reason because my obese relative died with a heart attack just recently. I only write this because I want to remind you guys to take care of your weight and health. Do it for you, for your friends and for your family.

I can't say that our paths crossed often, but it seems he was a valued member of this community who will be missed by many. In all of this, perhaps the only positive thing is that we know what happened to him, considering that over the years many good members have disappeared from the forum without us knowing whether they are alive or not.

If one of the members from the Greek community may have the opportunity to go to the funeral, I will be happy to donate for flowers or whatever is the custom in Greece.

For everyone else, remember the old Latin proverb Memento mori💐🕯️🇬🇷

Since I lost a close friend after speakng with him just few minutes ago, I have learned to live like a second per time. I try as much as possible to enjoy the time I have, regardless of the challenges I face every day.  This is because life is like a vapour.

I didn't have any dealings with him, but from members' remarks about him, he was an asset to the forum. I extend my condolences to his immediate family, especially his wife. May she find comfort in this trying time. Adeu Condoras.

when a friend disappears it is always a great pain, you think back to all the moments spent together and what you did together and the discussions
I think it's a tear of something inside

I understand the emotions, I too have suffered this sort of tear, I decided to embrace the pain and carry on with the things that my friend Luca and I talked about together.
in a way, he is able to guide me and support me even if he no longer exists
his thoughts, his affection, his devotion as a friend

From pain something positive can be born, a force that not even death can defeat
for this, in his honor, I will fight like a lion for our battles as long as I have breath

I've never told anyone this, I'm telling you now hoping it can help you get through this bad time.

And now the day has come for him to rest for a long time, a day on which we we will miss his departure and and feel the pain of his absence. This is extremely heartbreaking news. I had to check my PMs to recall my last correspondence with condoras, it was late last year when he was contemplating suing Ledger (I do not know whether he commenced legal proceedings). At that time he was happy and enjoying his life after emigrating.

Without a shadow of doubt, condoras was full of energy and enthusiasm. Even with the initial issues after emigrating, he was happy he relocated with his wife. He named the small village he chose to live on the Caribbean coast. It is beautiful location. I recall he told me about arranging transportation for his cats but I realise now I did not ask him whether the cats were eventually transported, I presume they were.

We had some conversations, he certainly did not like the political situation in his country (Greece). He mentioned he discovered Bitcoin at a time it made his life better when using others in Greece as examples. I am glad he found Bitcoin as it played a part in him wanting to emigrate and start a new life. No matter how brief it was, at least he managed to emigrate and lay the foundations for a new life. It is heartbreaking that he passed away just as he was getting started.

I had it in my mind to contact him again but unfortunately did not get round to doing it and now I regret it immensely. He was a genuinely nice man, I feel sorry for his wife at this very difficult time in her life. My deepest condolences for her.

I could say a bunch more, but I am not good at this sort of thing. If any of you wish to share any stories you might have about condoras, feel free to. I will leave this open for a few weeks so that people may say a few kind words and also so that people are informed.

Well, to be frank, this is one of the most shocking news I've received in days.. I never really knew Condoras personally as much as you did; maybe just a few times I tried getting a loan, he wasn't able to assist me with it I think (if my memory serves me right) but life sucks man, trust me!

It's painful that we keep losing helpful people and there's almost nothing anyone can do about it. For a second, I had to read the forum again too see who else was talking about this, just to be sure!

What can I say, my friend?
I never had any personal conversation with him. However, I knew that he had a lending thread on the lending board, and he is pretty popular there. I also know him from another thread which he created just one year ago Ledger hacked!!! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5512505.0). He got his Ledger wallet hacked by a phishing scam.

My deepest condolences to his family. Even though I never had any conversation with him, I still feel too bad after hearing this. I believe this community will remember him for a long time for his contribution to this forum. I miss Leo as well.  :'(

RIP condoras!

It is very sad to know another forum member passed away.
It is never happy to add another member to Bitcointalk's Hall of Fame. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240284.0)

Let's avoid sedentary life by being more active physically and your life will be better in health. He passed away with a hear attack but it is a lesson for everyone in modern life that motivates us to be more sedentary that is harmful for cardiovascular health.

I am very devastated to know about this  :(

He was a very active member, especially in the lending and currency exchange boards and looking at the positive feedback left by other members to him, it's very apparent that he was very helpful and understanding.

Not so long ago I tried to acquire a loan from him but then noticed then he was offline for some days. It was something rather unusual, but then again I thought that he was just having a break off the forum and I didn't want to bother him. Little did I know that he had already passed on by the time I made the loan request.

My thoughts and prayers to you @yahoo62278, friends and family. Take heart through this trying moments.

I have no communication with Condoras, but this just shows that life is very uncertain. We never know who's next or what's next. This is why I continued to be civil and respectful to all my brothers and sisters here. We really never know what's going to happen.

Heart attack is a silent killer, brothers and sisters, so keep moving, stay healthy and take your medicines.

Condolences to Condoras' family.

It's always sad to read these kinds of threads about someone passing and has been part of the forum. I don't have much encounter on him but this only explains on how good a person he is. I've only known him that he's one of the reputable lenders in the forum. He surely has helped a lot of those members that have taken a loan from him. His wife and family probably is also reading on this thread the heartfelt condolences that we're sending them. I pray that the Almighty comfort them on this trying times.

I am very devastated to know about this  :(
I've checked his lending thread and you're the second to the last one to post there and, he no longer replied.  :-\

People like Condoras in this community their families deserve to show love when they depart from this world. It will make the family to value the love we share among crypto enthusiast, I have been reading people comments in this thread how Condoras has contributed to the growth of this community before he went to meet our creator.

Words won't be able to express the sadness of my friends passing. Just a few weeks ago we were in the middle of planning my visit to you, the first I would do with anyone I got to know from the forum. Incredibly difficult, incredibly sad, incredibly unfair.

You will be missed.

Would be good if a new wallet address from his family(wife) is edited on the spreadsheet.

Yahoo can get you the address since he's close to the family.

My condolences to his family. In this world we are in now, we are living on a borrowed bonus (life); we never know when the call to return that life back to the creator will come. It's sad to lose another important soul in the forum again after that of LightLord. May his gentle soul rest in peace, and may strength be upon his family to pass through this difficult time.

That's sad to hear. He was a really stand-up guy and IMO one of the most trustworthy people on the forum, in terms of doing what he says he's gonna do. I was only ever in casual contact with him but I appreciate his willingness to help forum members in need. He also had a good sense of humor. Like can be found in his personal text, "This is what I do. I drink and I know things."

Very sad news. Our lives are uncertain, if we don't take care of our health, we will have to leave this world suddenly. I have been fighting with my life for the past one year. Maybe one day I will also leave this world silently, maybe no one will even know.  So everyone, please take care of your health, before it's too late.

I never spoke to him, but hearing the news of his passing made me feel very sad and uneasy. My condolences to his family, may they overcome this grief.

Bad news, condolences to the family from another forum family. I haven't spoken to him, but his nickname is quite well-known. A heart attack doesn't happen out of nowhere; his death, and the death of any person, always brings home the thought of how inattentive we sometimes are to our health. Our worries, our stress, and our daily lives often take priority, neglecting ourselves and self-care. I lost two loved ones who also passed away, simply leaving for work in the morning... Every time I see something like this, I ask other loved ones to take care of themselves, as families always have a hard time coping with the unexpected loss of loved ones.

Rest in peace, Condoras! To all the living, take care!

I did hear this news from Hhampuz last week and waiting someone to confirm it, sorry I just read this thread today. Thank you yahoo62278 for confirming this bad bad news. This is the worst news Ive ever heard this year. Damn it! I promised him to visit his new house, even he kept inviting me when still living in his old house, told me his house was not far from beach. Too bad, sorry my friend, and I'm fully regret for not doing that while I had a chance. We literally talked two weeks ago telling our own stories each other, about his new business and the new hobby of his wife. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. DAMN 💔 I was expecting the opposite confirmation story!

Title: Re: Condoras RIP my friend
Post by: Shishir99 on October 03, 2025, 12:58:23 PM
I didn't know many of you already knew him personally and had visited each other. If I may suggest, some of you could see his place and at least meet his family members, and let them know how the community reacted to the news of his death. As a friend, it would be fair to visit his grave and talk to his family members. Hear if they need any help (I doubt they would need any). For now, I believe they have some real-life friends for mental support.

Since Condoras has been involved in lending for a long time, there may be some individuals who owe money to Condoras. If there are any, I would request that they pay the debt as soon as possible. As a friend, someone might help get a wallet address from his wife in case there is someone who wants to pay the debt.

Sad news to the community. Another crypto-warrior is now gone.

Most of us here have been too focused on crypto that we forgot what matters most; our time here on Earth is mostly borrowed and can be taken away at any time.
So, hug your loved ones, tell them you love them, forgive those who caused you heartache, and say sorry those you have hurt because you'll never know, one minute you are here, the next, gone.

Rest in peace Condoras. I hope, where ever he is, he is happy.

@yahoo62278, I am very familiar with @condoras (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=740502), On the gambling board I should have visited this Utas yesterday when the first time was made, so quickly you leave us all Condoras, we really miss you, especially the gambling board and games.

I understand that nothing is eternal in this world, all of them will feel like what is felt by @condoras sooner or later.
Only prayers can be given to @condoras, hopefully calm and peaceful in the next nature.

May we who are still given age, keep doing good to others and that is the end of our journey, died.

This is truly sad news. Life goes on for us, but someone passes away somewhere else, very suddenly. Condoras was one of the members who left a mark on Bitcointalk. I didn't get a chance to meet him, but I see he has a lot of friends. The important thing is to have many friends like this. Life has to end somewhere, and it's important to be talked about well after you're gone. He achieved that.

RIP Condoras, wherever you are, always be happy. I'm sure he reads these posts and has good thoughts for us.

Well, first, may he rest in peace.

Then, I'd like to say that these things, which remind us that life is nothing more than a blink of an eye, should make us reflect on what we are doing here.

It is characteristic of people who know they are going to die to review the past, even if only for a moment, and for that reason it is better not to have many things to regret on that day (you might die in your sleep and this might not apply, but I think it's good advice anyway).

The other thing would be to leave things sorted out in advance for when you are gone. You just have to admit that one day you are not going to be here.

I'm really saddened reading this. Condoras was a friend with which I discussed multiple times in the forum, mainly through the Greek local board but also on other sections. We had a good understanding of each other and would reply to eachother multiple times per week. More than a week had passed since I last saw a notification from him and I grew a little worried, but I couldn't have imagined such an outcome. He sounded like an amazing and wise person. The Greek board and the forum won't be the same without him.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Rest in peace.

When I read similar stories here, I'm once again convinced that bitcointalk is more than just a forum, but a place for like-minded people. And in some cases, finding true friends. Here, sometimes, we can discuss things that wouldn't be possible in everyday life due to differences in worldviews, and hope for understanding from forum members.

I can say that it's undoubtedly a shame that worthy forum members are leaving us, for human life is not eternal. But the echoes of this life resonate throughout the forum pages, allowing them to "live" in discussions and posts.

Losing loved ones, especially friends, is always difficult, and no words of comfort can help ease the pain of loss. With time, it will subside. But nothing can fill the void. Stay strong, you who have lost your loved one and friend, Condoras.

Death is inevitable but it always comes as a shock when it happens especially to our loved or cherished ones. Despite I haven't interact or know this user, I deeply sympathise with the family over this irreplaceable loss and hope things should be easier for them during this hard time.

I'll have a hard time removing you from the campaign sheet.

Is it necessary you removed him? I mean The entire forum is already aware of this incident and no doubt, any post from that account is not from the original user. I see some tags on the account notifying people of his demise and should be aware the account is not longer operated by the owner. How about his wife or someone using the account since the forum is not against account changing ownership (I think) because I believe that money might not be much but it will definitely cover some little expense for the family this trying time. If the new operator prove otherwise (engage in suspicious acts) then you reserve the right to whatever decision you want.

Not easy for some, my Godmother has been praying and wishing for death for the past 10 years now if I remember correctly. Buried 6/8 children, buried husband, done 4 surgeries, being blind for more than 30yrs, she's mid 80 now. Her only prayer is " God please take me today I've suffered enough" no luck yet.  We all want it for her.

We had no dealings, and I often saw him posting in Lending sub-board. I contacted him once when I needed a quick small loan, and he was so understanding and so kind understand the situation as it was an emergency. He offered me a low interest rate compared to other borrowers. Fortunately, I got the loan from a friend in real life, and I thanked Condoras for his quick response and kindness. Nothing more

I wish the best for your family and all those who respect you. Reading all these comments from members confirms how honest you were. I truly hope to get that much love and respect one day. Rest in peace my friend.

I'm a little late to this thread, I have been on the road for the last couple of weeks and have only returned home mid week.

On the 12th of September, Condoras repaid a substantial ($10,000 loan) to me.  It was late; very late. But, he had remained in contact with me even when the price of Bitcoin jumped, he repaid the BTC price as agreed.  We had exchanged photos and talked a little about our health issues.  I'm sure in time we would have built on our friendship.

Telegram is still saying he was "last seen recently" which is strange (maybe his account is still active?)

I'm sorry to see you go Condoras.  Rest well.

We have a lost a great and loyal member of this community, I hope his family and loved ones will stand strong thought this!!
