I'm guessing there'll still be a worse crypto winter in the future, and the price at that time will be much lower. But I'd rather not wait for something that's not certain. What's certain right now is that there's a considerable correction. It's surely a buying opportunity. Every dip is. Bitcoin will always recover. Whether you'll buy with all you've got or just use a portion and keep what's left for another dip, it's up to you.

ETH is merely Bitcoin's silver. If you diversify, it might be wiser to allocate a smaller portion.

Of course, every time is a good time to buy since you are not a trader and you plan to holding your bitcoin in a long time like you mentioned five years. The market is experiencing a dip currently, it's an opportunity for you to buy using DCA method and spread your $5k into several weeks so that, you can benefit from whatever opportunity the market presents to you during your buying periods.

I will say that you shouldn't diversify in Ethereum but focus only on bitcoin because Ethereum performance is very poor. It is still unable to reach $5k which is its ATH in 2021. If you want to diversify, it's better that you diversify into a different line of investment entirely to reduce your risk.

Bitcoin investors are always looking for an opportunity to accumulate bitcoin at a cheaper rate , and in this month of October, bitcoin has dumped drastically, so without thinking twice this is a good opportunity to accumulate bitcoin at its best price.
The bitcoin price did not just dump, but crashed and wiped away whooping amount of money from the overall cryptocurrency market, and from the historical events of bitcoin, and to those who have been in the bitcoin business for a very long period of time, the situation is not strange at all.

Historically, every bitcoin crash is a sign of market correction to even surge higher, and I think their is no need to be afraid of the bitcoin market volatility, unless you are a newbie here, because bitcoin will definitely recover from the crash and even surge further to new all time high.

Every bull market always mark bitcoin all time high, and as we can see, despite the October crash, bitcoin has already surpassed the all time high of the last bull season reaching a price of about $126000 and above in October before the crash.
Furthermore, there is investors and predictors confidence that bitcoin is going to bounce back.

Despite all panic in the market for last 2 days, Bitcoin price is still above 100k for 156 days in a row. This shows the stability in price that price is circulating in between 100k to 125k. The institutes are now also investing in Bitcoin along with individuals and that's why there is strong chance of increase in Bitcoin price in coming days.

If you have 5k that you can invest for at least 4 years then there is strong possibility of getting good return. You can go for Lump Sum investment because ROI on Lump Sum is bigger when compared with DCA strategy.

5k now. Fire and forget. But be prepared to wait years for a return you feel is worth it (I say this as regardless of what you think it takes a cycle of hindsight for you to appreciate what is worth it).

I would still DCA every little tidy sum you can put away though. Then you really take advantage of any slumps over the next four or five years, including this.

$5k invested in Bitcoin now to hold it for 5will give you a profit but not a life-changing one. Maybe Bitcoin might be able to increase from its current price level to a different level, like $150,000, or $200-$300k for ETH. We don't know how well it will push up; you just have to do your research if you want an alternative different from ETH to diversify your fund. ETH and BNB are a good choice for me if they are not going to face any challenges in the future which will affect their growth.

Anyone who tells you he knows when it's a good time to buy is lying. Nobody knows. If you're unsure about the timing, split your buy in a few parts (DCA).
More importantly: have you thought about how you're going to safely store your Bitcoin long-term? If not, you should learn how to do this before buying them.

Lump Sum strategy can give better profit than DCA, but I think when using that strategy when bitcoin price is near peak, bull season is about to end. This is not a wise advice and idea.

OP seems to be a newbie without much knowledge or experience. Buying it all at once at such a high price only puts him at more risk. If the bear season suddenly comes and the bitcoin price drops 70%, he will most likely dump and take a huge loss instead of holding on like he claims.

DCA is still the better choice in all cases.

Bitcoin is unpredictable, no one knows where the bottom is, where the top is, when the bull season ends, or when the bear season comes.

Therefore, the best time to buy bitcoin is when you understand it well, have knowledge about the market, such as how the market works, how to store bitcoin safely, the pros and cons of each investment strategy. If you are armed with those basics and are ready, you can invest whenever you want.

You can also consult and ask for advice from people but do not invest based on other people's advice. Because they don't have a crystal ball to predict what will happen next.

This is not a place you expect people to decide for you on how to invest your money, just if you want to invest in Bitcoin it is a good idea. Their is no perfect time to invest Bitcoin and if you start now it is not bad.

When to start investing doesn't guarantee that you must make good profit investing bitcoin but what guarantee good profit in investing bitcoin is how long you will be able to hodl Bitcoin.  If you are investing bitcoin just have it in mind that it must be a longterm investment because this is the only way you can make profitable investment.

If you believe in the speculation said by experts, investors, entrepreneurs and so on regarding the future development of Bitcoin at least until 2040, of course there is no limit to the speculation regarding buying Bitcoin.

As an example of speculation that I think makes sense:
Bitcoin price prediction by 2040 (https://www.kraken.com/price-prediction/bitcoin)

If you buy now in a long-term investment method for the next 10-15 years, of course you at least have definite expectations about your investment in Bitcoin, however it all comes back to you.

Every major price drop is always a good time to Bitcoin. The price recovers immediately after a sharp drop while shitcoin failed to recover near to the price when sharp fall happened.

Shitcoin percentage drop is high which means it’s more volatile assets while you are considering long term investment which means Bitcoin is the best option for you.

I don’t recommend dealing shitcoin investments but it will not hurt you if you will drop a small percentage on it. XRP and ETH seems nice.

there's an old saying that procrastination is the thief of time, I often come across many folks that always regretted not investing in Bitcoin during it's inception several years ago and now it's seems as if they had lost a fortune by not doing so at the appropriate time,
Nevertheless, the best time to invest in Bitcoin was 10 years ago probably, the second best time is now because Bitcoin is the way of the future and with Bitcoin your future is secured financially, procrastinating could be disastrous.

I partly agree with what you say, that is, what the OP needs to do is get well informed before buying bitcoin, just as he would have to do before making any financial investment in general. So, with that information, you should be able to decide for yourself whether to invest the lump sum or do DCA, how you are going to buy it, and how you are going to store it, among other things.

What strikes me is the first sentence. The OP says he is going to hold for the very long term. So, none of us have a crystal ball that shows us the future, but those of us who have bitcoin do so because we firmly believe that in the future, in the very long term, the price will be at least higher than it is now, if not much higher.

Therefore, for someone who wants to HODL for the very long term, I don't think it's crazy to say that now is a good time to buy.

If you have chosen Bitcoin, rhianis a good time to buy so you follow up in profits as soon as the bulls sets back in after now. The only thing is that for you to see the most from this, you have to be sure you are holding for the long term and not one in which you want to hold for a few months and exit because  that way you are not sure to get as much profits as we currently do not know exactly  what Bitcoin may have in store for us seeing the movement it's been making in most recent times.

5k is a really good sum in holdings if you are looking to using that, if there be a 100% u will be another 5k up by then, a good way to progressively grow of which is very achievable in a good time if you put your mind to achieving it.

Any time is a good time to buy Bitcoin, but given the current correction, this is one of the best times to buy Bitcoin. However, since we don't know whether the correction will end or not, instead of waiting, it's better to follow the DCA strategy.

You can choose a specific day each week or month to buy a specific amount regardless of the price. Alternatively, you can buy 10-20% of your initial investment at the current time, and then whenever there is a new decline, you can buy back the same amount. This will give you a good average purchase.

Do you want to make a purchase immediately with your money? Some people might wait for a decline that will occur in the next cycle. Some don't mind because we are currently in a downturn, and buying now with a long-term holding plan, no one will worry.

ETH is also a good asset in the market. But if this is your first investment, it might be better to use a small portion and allocate more to Bitcoin.

We aren't your financial advisor, which means you shouldn't blindly trust our advice. Because we will not be liable for the cause of any losses. We can express our own opinions; that might help you to take the decision. Before investing, remember about the crypto crash. Just two days back, if you check the chart, you will discover that all the crypto dumped hard. So during the dump you have to survive and shouldn't panic.

First of all, if I intend to invest 5K, then 50% I will invest in Bitcoin. And the rest of the funds will be invested in top alts like ETH as well. In both cases I will do DCA to reduce the price of my holdings. So from this thread, get the idea of what you should do. Don't take any decisions emotionally.

Not crazy to say now is the right time to buy for long term targets, although bitcoin is expensive right now, but compared to how much it will be in the future, based on forecast and speculation borned out of long term experience, bitcoin will definitely be worth much more than what it is right now,  so buying bitcoub now Is never a bad idea and DCA application is the most needed tools for this regards.

My area of concern towards you is, do you have the necessary knowledge about Bitcoin so that when the horrible decline hits the crypto market unsurprising, you won't be among those who will have a heart attack of the amount they have lost in Bitcoin within hours, as we have heard of those who died out of shock from their loss of investment in Bitcoin, not knowing that the market will bounce back with a short time

If you have $5000 to invest, you can definitely buy Bitcoin. I don't see any other coin other than Bitcoin that can grow like Bitcoin. Although you can say that Altcoins grow a lot and make profits, then you are wrong and making the wrong decision because Altcoins can die or collapse at any time even if the price increases a lot and later there may be a recovery, but look at Bitcoin and you will see that even if there is a lot of dumping, it does not take much time to recover. The dumping that we were seeing recently was the highest dumping of all time, from there Bitcoin is on the way to recovery, but I mean if you have enough money to invest, then you should invest in Bitcoin and refrain from investing in shitcoins/meme coins out of greed.

If you're confident of holding it for long term after buying now, buy and do it. It's only you that can answer if you are confident and happy with the buying price that you're about to do.

We've got different buying points and that will make us easy to tell you to simply buy because we have no problem with our own purchases earlier.

So, you trust only yourself about buying at this point if it's acceptable and your conscience is good of buying right now.

Seems a fair time to average in, nobody can be sure of the trend just yet but the long term picture remains good even after the recent sell.
Looking at this recovery into the close of the weekly bar I think its looks reasonable.  The price is just below the monthly average and below the weekly average which shows further price action is required to the recovery so it is early to judge but the rest is fine.
Dollar itself doesn't seem like it will be resuming its previous good health and the index is below 100 I think for some time it will remain below average performance.

Before asking for advice, you need to know that there is a huge difference between you and the investors here.

Most of them are veteran investors and bought bitcoin at under $100k, $50k, $20k or even under $5k. This means that if they continue to buy more bitcoins at the current price, they will still make a significant profit. Meanwhile, you are newbie and don't own any bitcoins yet. So buying now means your position is much higher and riskier than theirs.

In investing, the entry price is very important because it determines your profit. Just like people who bought bitcoin at $69k 4 years ago are making less profit than people who bought bitcoin at $15k in 2022 even though they held it longer.

So, in my opinion, you should take your time to research and make the right decision for your current position. Don't listen to anyone's advice because they only give advice based on their own position, not yours.

By the way, many people don't tell you this but I want to remind you that we are in bull season and very close to the peak. So take your time to research and analyze and make a decision, don't listen to anyone.

If you want to invest then I would say definitely invest in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is a safe and good plan for long term, keeping Bitcoin for long term will eliminate financial shortage in future. Investing in Bitcoin alone is much less risky because different countries and individuals are holding a large number of Bitcoins. However if you have a different plan then you can invest 70% of your total capital in Bitcoin and the remaining 20% in other and another 10% to protect your holding from any danger.

I will say a big YES to this. It's not necessarily you who waits for a price to drop before you invest, because this is what most new investors or newbies are doing or thinking. Some will have funds to invest, which is a very nice idea, but once the Bitcoin price pumps up, they feel relaxed and keep following the market caps and wait for the price to drop down before they can make decisions on investing in Bitcoin.

In my own opinion, I preferred every time or any time to be the best for Bitcoin investment. Bitcoin is volatile in nature, in which the Bitcoin price can fluctuate at any moment, so make up your mind and invest at any time and right now, though your financial decisions lie on you, but thinking of ATH wouldn’t give you what you are looking for. Assuming you know all the risks involved and you have the knowledge about Bitcoin investment, then don't hesitate; invest in a long-term investment journey and have your potential financial growth in the future. Don't be decisive by anyone, and also don't be decisive and feel relaxed by the all-time high; invest what you can afford to lose and begin your Bitcoin investment journey.

And importantly, never be attracted to shitcoins.

Not even professional traders, consistently buy the exact bottom. If you believe in Bitcoin's long‑term fundamentals, then a sensible way to accumulate is through dollar‑cost averaging rather than lump‑sum speculation.

That way you smooth out volatility and remove the stress of grueling over the "is this the perfect price?" question.

If your plan is to hold for very very long term without worrying about the up and down in the Bitcoin's price. Just buy it anytime when it was dipping. The reason is simple to make sure you're getting price to entry, and give you impermanent profit.

So, you will be more happy when you're seeing your holding is getting green. Other than it, i'd recommend ETH as well. You can think to put 60% - 70% for Bitcoin, and the rest for ETH. This looks so balanced portfolios.  ;D ;D ;D

SO my take similar to others is that if you are going to HODL Bitcoin for a very long time, any time is a
good time to buy because by the time you are thinking of selling the value of Bitcoin will likely have
risen significantly.

Nobody is able to give anybody an indication as to when to buy Bitcoin other than the strategy of "buying
the dips", and "Dollar cost averaging" with multi buys when you can afford it.

Just remember the market is volatile and can go in any direction because of any number of reasons but its
proven that over time the Bitcoin market is on an upward trajectory and that its easy to suffer FUD
and FOMO at any time when not accustomed to the movements of the market.

Bitcoin is a platform where the profit is more than the loss if you invest. If you invest in the long term, you will make a profit. And if you are the owner of more wealth, then Bitcoin is waiting for you. Because the more you invest in Bitcoin, the more Bitcoin will go towards it. Again, if you want, you can invest with less profit. I would say that let's all invest in Bitcoin together and express interest in investing in others. If someone does not understand how to invest, let's help them.

This could be someone's opportunity of buying bitcoin and holding, because we are not done with the bullrun yet, the market is still on the expectation of rising and we still have more time to experience all time high before the end of the season and this year, we just have to be more speculative, the market is going to give the accurate indication to when to buy, hold or sell after rising, we just need more of our speculations on the market.

The most important thing is that you truly understand and know the best way to generate good returns. By knowing the best way to generate good returns and understanding and studying its track record, you'll be in the right place or starting at the right time.
And when we talk about Bitcoin, and as I mentioned before, Bitcoin is the goal. You must understand its potential and study its track record. And as most people say, investing in Bitcoin with a long-term goal in mind is the best way to generate profits. This is a path that should not be missed because over time, Bitcoin's price will continue to rise. Even if it experiences some dips, in the long run, the price will recover and continue to rise. So, if your goal is to invest in Bitcoin for the long term, it's best to buy when you have the money. Because when we have the money and don't delay, that's the best way to buy and hold it for the long term. Understand the risks involved when the price drops and know what to do. If you're wise, that's the best time to accumulate and stay focused and consistent towards your long-term goals.

OP, you mentioned that you plan to invest in the long term, so you can buy bitcoins at any moment, because if you hold bitcoins for a long time, the risk will be less and you can expect profit. We know the effective method to invest in Bitcoin is DCA method, you can buy bitcoins using DCA strategy, which you will be able to buy at more or less average price.

I don't see any alternative, if you want to invest in cryptocurrency, you should definitely invest in Bitcoin. But you can invest some amount of money in altcoins along with investing in Bitcoin, for example, you can invest some amount of money in ETH, BNB, but remember that you should keep most of your money in Bitcoin.

Somehow growth for bitcoins and ethereum goes hand in hand. If one pumps, other ends up pumping too so it is okay if OP is just planning to invest in bitcoins. It will give him the same amount of profits instead of a diversified portfolio. Entry price might not really matter that much for OP as anyways he is planning to hold or long duration and the price we are on right now will just be suitable. Or maybe OP can try to catch $100k if even we dip there. That can be a perfect buying opportunity but can also create panic like situations.

OP are you just planning to hold bitcoins or do you have any intentions to trade them regularly to grow profits? This can make you earn more profits but will come with significant risks so I would recommend you to stick with holding instead of going for trading if ever you thought about one.

Your 5k$ should go into bitcoin. Bitcoin investment is profitable when it is held for long unlike alternative cryptocurrencies that have short term goals, some of which don't return profits after investing in them. There is no comparison between Bitcoin and Ethereum, Etherum is highly correlated with bitcoin, whenever the price of bitcoin pumps it does the same for Ethereum, vise versa as when price drops.

Don't be pushed to invest in any alternative, bitcoin is the best and if you sincerely want to separate your investment, just be ready to risk that amount, altcoins most have sweet coverings but no guarantee for profits, bitcoin has always proven to investors why they shouldn't hesitate to invest.

If you are new to Bitcoin then best way to get started is to follow DCA. As the time progresses, our status changes from newbie to proficient and we are in better position to decide whether to go for DCA or Lump Sum.

The beauty of Bitcoin is that we can't predict it's future price. Bitcoin right now is at 112k, one month from here it can go to 130k or may drop down to 80k. Nothing can be said with certainty about Bitcoin future price, we can only speculate. Our focus must be on Bitcoin accumulation to secure our future profit.

I hope you didn't miss the recent Bitcoin price drop. You could have bought it at that time and stayed calm for the long term. ETH could be an alternative for you, but only if you also have enough funds to divide with Bitcoin. With the funds you have prepared, if it were me, I would definitely put everything into Bitcoin. And importantly, never be attracted to shitcoins.
Honestly, it's still not that high and people could still buy. At 114k, it is not that high, and it will go to 125k+ which will be a good little increase for them. I do not understand why people are not thinking like that. From 114k to 125k it is an 10% increase and we could make 10% in a very quick fashion and that's not bad at all. I see that not many people see this as an issue but it is seriously a great way to make money and too many are missing it.

And I do not think next time we are going to stop at 125k neither, we are going to go even higher and we should be seeing more than 10% increase soon enough. We have already gone up a few percent in the recent days because we have seen 112k, so it's already up 2k, and should be up another 10 to 15 thousand too.

Why DCA if you like OP have $5k to spend and want to hold for a long time? Usually in such case a lump sum buy is much better.

People blindly repeat that DCA is the best strategy out there, when it's not. Every single strategy is aimed at certain group of people and DCA targets the largest gone - wage earners.
When you're someone who doesn't have much savings or cannot touch them because it's some kind of college fund for a child, you DCA. When you're someone with a decent amount of fiat money lying around, you just buy bitcoin with some of it.

I would say yes, this is a good time to buy bitcoins as we already are in a dip but yet this might be a risky decision. Why don't you start with DCA and start investing maybe $50 every alternate day? This will make you not miss out on the opportunities and also you said you want to hold for a longer term so this can anyways be a better decision for you. Also how long are you planning to hold? I hope it is couple of years and in that case, yes you can just get your hands on bitcoins because this $5k investment can give you really good profits in future.

There already are a lot of predictions about bitcoins going up to $1M which will 10x your gains and you can earn a solid $50k return just for holding for a couple of years. Just remember to not get carried away if you say markets dipping more as eventually they will recover.

How so? Just because he has $5k on hand, doesn't mean spending it all at once is the most sensible option.

DCA is not the most profitable strategy in general (I believe buying dips tends to yield better returns on average), but it's still the best option for casual investors, who are not able or willing to regularly monitor the market to attempt to identify trends.
I think you're confusing the core concept of DCA. It's not a strategy only for those who don't hold enough cash, but for those who want to avoid going all in at the wrong time. Whether or not one has significant savings is irrelevant.

brother, let me tell you somethin just like the moon shines with the light of the sun, ethereum exists because of bitcoin.
so if you have $5k you should invest it in bitcoin. that is the smartest move.
right now bitcoin's price is already high but there will come a time when it will go even higher. gold and bitcoin prices have both risen very fast. so if you want good profit with less risk buy bitcoin.
that is the best decision to buy bitcoin.

There's actually some research done in the field proving that DCA isn't superior to lump sum buys.
For instance: https://www.rbcgam.com/en/ca/learn-plan/investment-basics/understanding-dollar-cost-averaging-vs-lump-sum-investing/detail

DCA cuts your downside risk, but also upside. It's like if you had someone flip a coin for you and you could bet $1 10 times, or $10 all at once. The problem is, bitcoin isn't a coin toss. It's long-term trend is up, so you're not buying a 50% coin flip here. Rather betting on an asset that has been outperforming everything else for the last 15 years.

Today still looks good despite the negative, its a hammer candle and lows have resisted and risen from 110k in what I take to be a positive reaction.
The main thing to this question will always be that you can buy not just once but many times ideally every month for some time.  There is no good reason not to buy on that basis, the wider picture for BTC is positive and debate we have here is short to medium term speculation for trading but you can buy for long term hold with less anxiety.

In your opinion, with the same capital, those who bought once for $69k 4 years ago, compared to those who DCA in the last 4 years at different prices like $69k, $40k, $30k, $15k. Who is getting better returns?

One time buying only gives better returns if you can analyze and are lucky enough to buy at the lowest price or a good discounted price during bear market. But if you buy bitcoin at the peak, I don’t think it will yield better returns than DCA.
And we haven’t reached the peak of the cycle yet, but we are very close, so buying in a lump sum is not a wise idea at this point.

Sure, anytime is the best to invest in bitcoin and hold for long term because we can't predict the market so we should just invest for the long term and set our target always, so that we won't sell our coin when we have not reach our goals. Bitcoin is always and opportunities for everyone that is really interesting to invest he should do so to get better profit for the long term. Some few days ago bitcoin price as drop down and if anyone that have some funds he will top is investment because the price we start to pump again and you will get more profit when the price increases very well.

let just follow what our mind, we should not be deceiving by some investors that can says you should not buy bitcoin now, you should wait thing the price drop first before you by so that you won't lose. Sometimes the more you think the price will drop he won't happen like that the price can continue raising and you will be wasting your time for it. When you have funds just invest and wait for your target before selling you should not wait for decrease before buying.

$5k invested in Bitcoin now to hold it for 5will give you a profit but not a life-changing one. Maybe Bitcoin might be able to increase from its current price level to a different level, like $150,000, or $200-$300k for ETH. We don't know how well it will push up;
Hold for 5 what mate? Weeks, months, years, etc...? But that must be a short one only since you also said the profit that we can expect with it is not a life changing one. A lot of people are speculating $150k for Bitcoin. I think this is achievable since it is not that far from the last time ATH of Bitcoin. As for $200k and $300k, we are not sure about that yet. People also call a different number for ETH. I lost track of it because I only focus on BTC and BTC is being talked more than it.

Anyone who tells you he knows when it's a good time to buy is lying. Nobody knows. If you're unsure about the timing, split your buy in a few parts (DCA).
I think that the perfect time can only depend on us, so some can say that it was the perfect time but we can disagree about it if we are not on the same line. But perfect buying opportunity must always be when the market is on bloody red or whenever there is a bear market. You are right with what you are suggested when buying but we are unsure but I think it is also better if we can just refrain from doing any actions for a while. That should give us a better peace of mind. It can also maximize our buying potential when the larger dip comes.

If you are planning to invest for a long time, then I will tell you to buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most reliable compared to all other coins, so if you want, you can invest with your $5000 which will give you good profit in the future. Moreover, if you invest in all other coins, then it is likely to be risky for you, in that case, Bitcoin is less risky. If you invest in any alternative to Bitcoin, it will definitely be risky for your money, so I will tell you about Bitcoin. If you buy Bitcoin now and hold it for a long time, then you can earn more than double the profit at a time because Bitcoin will enter a huge height in the future.

Bitcoin is definitely a good long-term hold. It is the most established crypto, has the strongest network effect, and is seen by many as digital gold. ETH can also be considered an alternative or complement. It is the backbone of DeFi and NFTs and has real utility beyond just being a store of value. It has become more energy efficient after the Merge and upgrades are ongoing. To be honest, many long-term holders split between BTC and ETH rather than going all in. Of which 60/40 or 70/30 BTC/ETH is quite common. In this case, you can consider BTC as a safe digital gold and ETH for more profitable potential as the ecosystem grows.

‌The key to long-term cryptocurrency is that you only invest what you can afford to lose while ensuring proper security. Have a plan in place so you don’t get discouraged if it goes to the moon or crashes.

I'm talking about a 5-year period, which is enough time for Bitcoin to reach some of its speculated prices, like $150k and above. That's if it can't break that record this year, which, if that eventually happens, the OP investing $5k into Bitcoin will see good profit, but that won't be enough to change his life if that's what he's expecting from the market.

Millionaires that invest millions into the market make millions as profit, so do those who also invest thousands; their profit will run in the same category unless there is a massive pump, which we don't see Bitcoin doing 100x anytime soon.

Investing in Bitcoin is always a good time if you are planning a long-term investment. However, you can invest by adopting a strategy that will average your investment. Investing a large amount at once will be risky because at any time you may need money for an emergency and at that time if you want to sell your Bitcoin, you may have to sell it at a loss. So follow DCA and continue investing. Invest as much money as you can afford to invest for a long time. Then this investment will not put pressure on you and will reduce your risk to an average level.

This time is actually the time most investors are looking to take profit from their investment, as most of them have held their bitcoin for a very long term now and just waiting for their profits target to reach. When it comes ti Bitcoin investment, it is always advised for one to begin investing the very moment they have the funds at hand, this is because any moment from that time may see the market going up more and you miss to buy at a lower price.

Sometimes, one gets discouraged if they don’t buy immediately and they’ll keep procrastinating as time goes. Some investors see this moment as selling opportunity and will always wait till there is a dip in the market before thinking of accumulating again. You can start by DCAing into bitcoin, just use some portion and buy and then DCA the rest into the market. Ethereum is a good choice of an alternative, but invest more portion into bitcoin than Ethereum in your whole portfolio.

If you hold Bitcoin for a long time, you can definitely get good returns. But how much it will be depends on your investment. Where trust is not found in other coins, there is a possibility of big profits in long-term investment in Bitcoin. There are many who want to profit from investment but they keep their investment on the wrong platform due to which they have to lose. Everyone should remember that since there is a fixed supply of Bitcoin, its demand will always increase. Those who will have 0.10 Bitcoin in the future will also be very wealthy. Therefore, it is better to continue buying as much as possible, regardless of the price.

Bitcoin is currently sitting at approximately $110,000, which is considerably lower than a few days ago, where Bitcoin surpassed $125,000, which is a 12% drop. $150,000 is a realistic target for 2025, but according to the 4 year old cycles, in 2026 we'll slowly enter the bear market, but this isn't something that's guaranteed, it could happen a lot further along. Currently, it's considered a discount to acquire Bitcoin, as it was quite higher a few days ago, but if we take into account the 4 year old cycles, the OP could leave some money to invest in the future in hopes of acquiring a better price.

Can you explain why lump sum is better than DCA? What if bitcoin continues to rise and the peak of this cycle is only $130k-140k but then bitcoin drops to $50k-60k in the next bear season?

So, in simplest terms, with DCA you're betting on bitcoin going down, because delaying the purchase only makes sense if you get cheaper coins, right?
The problem is, bitcoin mostly goes up.

If it goes down by 50k and then recovers within the next 3-4 months and goes to a new high and your DCA strategy involves breaking the capital into 12 or more months of buying, you will eventually have less bitcoin than you would if you just bought and held.
You will lose capital if:
The price goes up
The price stays the same
The price goes down but rebounds within 40% of your DCA period

That's what makes it statistically inferior to lump-sum buys. You can read the explanation I've linked in my previous post where they show the research that was made on the stock market.
Bitcoin outperforms the stock market so this would probably be even more evident if the research if bitcoin was used for the study.

Quote
In your opinion, with the same capital, those who bought once for $69k 4 years ago, compared to those who DCA in the last 4 years at different prices like $69k, $40k, $30k, $15k. Who is getting better returns?

So you chose the exact peak of the last bull market to prove your point?.
You have to be really bad at timing because in the whole 4 year cycle you had just a few days to buy the top. In 2021 bitcoin spent like 3 days around the top in April and 3 days in November with many indicators like pi cycle top and fear and greed showing that it was extremely overbought. I'd really like to talk to someone who bought to hold for long term in November 2021 because that's almost like winning the jackpot. in 2021 alone you had to choose 6 out of 365 days to get it. That's a probability of 1.64%. For the whole 4 year cycle it would be 0.06%!

We can turn it around. What if you bought on November 21 2022 compared to buying 10% in December, January 2023 and so on? Buying at the bottom is just as probable as buying at the top.
But let's make it easier. What if you went all in anywhere between July 2022 and July 2024 would you have more, or less money today than if you did DCA from July 2022 until now?

You want me to pick a price of purchase that existed only 0.06% of trading days in a 4 year cycle to prove a point, so of course DCA is going to beat a person who chose one of the worst days to buy in a 4 year period. I can give you half of the cycle to choose from, so any day out of 730, 50% of all trading days, and you're going to outperform DCA with lump-sum.

No time you buy Bitcoin that's not good, you can decide to buy your bitcoin at any point or any time you feel like to buy your bitcoin, but the thing is like, people found it more convenient to buy Bitcoin when the price is falling or when the price falls, but that's is not the good thing to do, when you have funds you can buy Bitcoin and keep its your property, but the thing is that people have different thinking about Bitcoin and when to buy Bitcoin, another important we are supposed to know is that holding Bitcoin for long-term is determined by what your target, because everyone that hold bitcoin have target

You're wrong. Statistically lump-sum buys offer greater profit, simply because both the stock market and bitcoin are mostly up and they both will be up because of how fiat money works. Everything goes down against fiat money.

You don't seem to understand the concept of the DCA. Your quoting research comparing AVERAGE returns and drawing a conclusion that investing a lump sum is always better than DCA, which is demonstrably false.
i.e. who would be better off, a guy who threw a lump sum of say $10k on Bitcoin when it was trading at $68k in 2021, or a guy who decided to DCA that $10k with purchases of $500/month?
The timing of lump purchases played a big role in achieving greater yield than the DCA, but not everyone feels competent/comfortable to try to time the market.
Comparing Bitcoin market with its 4 year cycles to traditional markets, which have been growing steadily for the most part, is not the best way to go.

Also, you probably haven't read the study you linked. The "lump sum" it compared to the DCA, is also a DCA but made less frequently:
The results are based on:

Quote
A one-time, lump-sum investment of $10,000 made at the beginning of each time period [so regular purchases every 3, 6, 12 month].
DCA installments of $10,000, spread out evenly each month over the course of each time period.

Further in the article, they showed a scenario where DCA was more profitable (falling markets).

If you are investing that amount on which you can afford to lose, then I would say you are in the right track. Do not hesitate to buy and hold bitcoin, because there is brighter future waiting for it. But as per diversification, I suggest just stick to bitcoin for now especially that you are still starting to build your investment.

Ethereum and other potential altcoins are good, but they don’t guarantee good profits in the long run. Unlike bitcoin, hodling itself will make a big difference, as long as you know how to lessen the risk that volatility can do to bitcoin.

By virtue of my country's currency value I would consider $5k to be a big amount of funds which shouldn't be risk into some kind of coins that isn't with a guarantee of giving a good return in profit after a very long term of holding because am assuming when you said you're thinking of holding for a very long term that would be for a full market circle, 4 years tops. Bitcoin would be what I can boldly suggest to you, maybe $4 for bitcoin and $1k to Eth for a diversified outlook.

I wouldn’t encourage you to hold shitcoin or altcoin in your portfolio and as a new investor you need a reliable assets such as bitcoin and if you must include other coins you should first hold bitcoin to  have more experience to know if you could add more bitcoin or altcoin. 5k is actually huge for this investment but of course everything still remains intact if you invest in bitcoin considering what happened few days ago was as sound of warning to those who keeps shitcoins into their portfolio with the mindset it would boom as bitcoin are just deceiving themselves.

Look, if you are a new investor, then you must know how to hold Bitcoin for the long term. Because you have to be sure about the future first, because if you have a total of $ 5000 and if you buy Bitcoin with $ 5000, then you will not be able to hold Bitcoin holding. For this, you have to be sure first how you want to hold Bitcoin for a long time and your source of income, here you can follow the DCA method, but you should not buy Bitcoin aggressively. Considering various aspects, you can rely on yourself and form an emergency fund and hold your Bitcoin for a long time through a strong wallet.
However, to follow the DCA method, you must buy Bitcoin regularly weekly or monthly, then it will become very easy for you to hold it for a long time.

However, to follow the DC method, you must buy Bitcoin regularly weekly or monthly, then it will become very easy for you to hold it for a long time.

yes for an investor to be able to hold bitcoin for a long time they should accumulate bitcoin using there discretionary income. It won't be call an investment but rather gambling when an investor uses all there income to buy bitcoin. If an investor makes this mistake of using all there income to buy bitcoin, long term holding becomes impossible the only mission of that investor is trading which targets is short term profit . There is nothing wrong in being aggressive in accumulating bitcoin as long as you are using discretionary income and not money that is meant for your daily expenses.

For a long term bitcoin investor, whose strategy is focused on the long term goal of consistently accumulating bitcoin and hold then you don’t need to wait for a particular time before you can accumulate and invest in bitcoin, there’s no best or wrong Time for such investor, rather the only time to do so is when you’re able to figure out a discretionary income to use and invest in bitcoin. With the DCA method of investing then you are sure to always remain active in the market and gradually build up your portfolio. And I also think is better to stick with bitcoin investment especially if you’re just getting started in investment before you can think of diversifying into any other asset. You should be able to get to a certain point in your accumulation journey where you feel that you’ve accumulated a reasonable amount of bitcoin stash before you can think of diversifying into other assets or altcoins. Most of these altcoins doesn’t really guarantee profit even when hold in the long run, and diversifying into them means you’re incurring more risk to yourself instead of mitigating the risk which is the reason why people tends to diversify so that they can be able to recover from some losses incase one of the assets isn’t performing or yielding profits, the other one should at least be able to. Personally i think if a bitcoin investor wants to diversify then it should be something different from cryptocurrencies, maybe you can diversify into real estate, lands etc.

If you have $5k and want to invest in crypto, I suggest you choose Bitcoin, especially if you are new. You don't have to check the altcoins and focus on Bitcoin for one cycle, 4-5 years. By using $100 monthly to buy Bitcoin, that is enough for you to have Bitcoin and hodl it until the bull run in the next cycle.

Altcoins follow where Bitcoin move, so if you are not ready, it is better you leave altcoin and stay with Bitcoin. You can use DCA to invest monthly and not worry about market fluctuation.

But if you want to invest in ETH besides Bitcoin, you should allocate different funds. That will make sure that you will not use the funds for a Bitcoin investment because you set money aside for a Bitcoin investment.

Although bitcoin is still volatile and unpredictable, I believe that investing in bitcoin is no longer as risky as it once was. So we can invest any amount of money we want, as long as it is not money for necessities, emergency funds and we will not need it for a long time. “Invest what we can afford to lose” probably doesn’t hold true with bitcoin anymore.

Regarding portfolio diversification, we don't have to be too rigid. Just stay away from shitcoins, we can diversify with topcoins, especially ETF approved altcoins, they are almost safe.

If you're considering holding $5,000 for the long term, perhaps 10 years or more, Bitcoin remains a viable asset. Bitcoin has proven itself as a digital store of value and has seen significant market adoption and trust, leading many investors to consider it digital gold. If the price is currently high or after a bull run, there may be a risk of a correction in the near future. This doesn't matter if you're truly a long-term investor and prepared to withstand fluctuations. Whenever you want to buy Bitcoin, if you intend to hold it for the long term, it won't be a problem. Many of my friends might recommend dividing your investment among several cryptos. For example, 60% in BTC, 30% in ETH, and 10% in other altcoins for flexibility. And make sure you manage your funds wisely.

It is never possible to say exactly when is the right time to buy. But sometimes I also say. When the market is falling, you should buy because the market starts to rise again from there. We may never know how far down the market may go. So it would be best to adopt DCA method. When you buy some amount, right after if the market falls further. Then buy again, this method is used. Since you are saying to hold for a long time, you can do it in Bitcoin instead of ETH.

Why DCA if you like OP have $5k to spend and want to hold for a long time? Usually ins such case a lump sum buy is much better.

I don't like the idea of buying at once with the 5K OP has because if you buy at once, you wouldn't understand much about the market and study it like the experience that DCA will give you since you are buying regularly weekly/monthly. Also, what if bitcoin price dips below your entry point, you will miss out the opportunity of buying more coins cheaper. Personally, I will split the funds into three equal parts. Buy at once with $1500, $1000 to buy during the dips and $2500 for DCA.

(...)

Did you even read the sentence that you've quoted? Where do you see the word "always"?
I have said that more than once in my posts, so allow me to quote myself here:

That's what makes it statistically inferior to lump-sum buys.

Statistically, isn't always.

That said, I'll take the average better over average worse any day.

I don't like the idea of buying at once with the 5K OP has because if you buy at once, you wouldn't understand much about the market and study it like the experience that DCA will give you since you are buying regularly weekly/monthly. Buy at once with $1500, $1000 to buy during the dips and $2500 for DCA.

You're splitting money to combine 2 strategies, one being DCA and the other holding a liquidity reserve. The reserve is what most traders do, especially when they invest with leverage because they sometimes increase their margins to avoid liquidation. You're of course free to do what you want, but if I had all the money needed to invest available right now, I'd rather split it into 3 parts where one is invested immediately and moved to cold storage, one placed into an open buy position at lower prices to catch flash crashes (especially good if you use an exchange with low liquidity) and the third part kept in fiat money to invest in case of a large correction like the one in Summer of 2021.

A real life example shows that buying bitcoin using the Lum sum strategy cannot be better than DCA. Just 3 days ago on October 14, each bitcoin was trading at over $115k but currently, bitcoin is trading at around $105k. Bitcoin has dropped more than 8% in just a short period of time and the decline shows no signs of stopping. Many people are starting to fear that the price could drop below $100k.

Let's say OP takes the advice and buys bitcoin at $115k for $5,000. OP is taking a temporary loss and worse missed the opportunity to buy at a discount of over 8%.

I also really don't like the idea of buying it all at once, it's not as beneficial as many people think.

While that is true, and the "perfect timing" depends from person to person, but you have to also realize it's down right now. It means that it's a good time to buy, whenever bitcoin is down, it's a good time to buy. Doesn't mean you should show your house as collateral and go take out a huge loan and buy bitcoin, of course not, that would be stupid and you will lose money.

But it also means if you do have money, right now is the perfect time to buy, instead of waiting for it  to drop more because you might wait too long and miss your chance. In any case, having money to spare into buying bitcoin is the most important rule, first you have to have that, THEN it's time to check when you buy. Today is one of those days.

Op don't give a specific amount to hold but invest whenever you have the Cash. You can invest the $5k and after that investment you can be investing any amount of money you get into the investment wallet to increase the amount of bitcoin and when you are satisfied to withdraw them, you do that in a long term investment of 10 years plus.
Currently the price is $106k and it is a good price to buy. So much f you have Cash I advise you to acquire as many as you want now. This morning I saw $105k right now it is high.

Its a good time yea but this precise moment is not a given absolute best time and its best not to think like that.   BTC is a long term asset, its the massive surprise in that respect that has become reflected in a large price hence you also should be long term in your thinking and stance so you don't get out of sync and flipped off the ride in some way.

$2500 for DCA.

I agree with the idea of putting the majority towards DCA.   I'd do it all on gradual buys really and each buy try to take in some of the market situation and feeling at that moment, listen to views and commentary ideally so you aren't a foreigner in what you are participating in.   I think its a bull market but be sure of that yourself not just us telling you what to think or do, we cant really do this.

Are you really waiting for dip before you invest in bitcoin? If that’s what you are waiting for, then you are wrong. If you want to invest in bitcoin, then you can just make use of DCA strategy, you can just divide your money into parts, and start investing gradually, you don’t have to invest at once, and you don’t have to wait till bitcoin price drops before you going to invest in bitcoin.

If you are planning to invest, then it’s better you don’t even think about alternative, just invest in bitcoin, make sure you properly store the bitcoin, and have rest of mind, investing in all this Altcoins are kind of risky, and any slight mistake you might end up losing your money.

As long as you can hold your bitcoin for a long period of time, then you should know that you going to be making huge amount of money in the future, but you will have to be patient.

I think the best time to invest in Bitcoin is when you have money to invest. If you have discretionary income, rather than trying to buy from the dip considering the price, then the best way is to invest with that money no matter the price. The price of Bitcoin will increase in the long term, so it is a good idea to only do DCA without thinking too much. Many people wait to buy from the dip, but the market can sometimes move in the opposite direction. Because of this, investment can sometimes be delayed. If an investor tries to grow his portfolio by doing DCA in the long term, then he is reducing the risk and at the same time getting the opportunity to increase his investment.

If you want to buy Bitcoin for short term holding, I can agree this may be the right time for buying. You buy when Bitcoin drops below $105k, then you sell when Bitcoin price increases above $110k. However, I think using $10k will be more effective to gain good amount of money in this way.

For the long term, you are better to wait for the next bearish season. If we consider the previous cycle, next year should be the bearish season. It is only few months to wait for the best time for entry (buying).

I exclude ETH for now. I think it is better to choose BNB, SOL, XRP, or ADA for the alternative asset.

Since you are talking about a long term, feel free to invest. It can be at any time, because in a long term plan, every moment is the best time to buy.

If you want to be a short term investor, whose goal is to make a small profit and sell the investment, then wait a little longer. Because we may be seeing a dip ahead, or it may not happen. If you invest $5k, you can profit in a very short time, no matter what moment you buy it in the market, but it will not have a big impact on your life

Every dip is a good time to buy, but if you’re thinking about holding long term, maybe wait until the bull run is over. When? Perhaps when BTC falls below $100k, that might indicate the bull season has ended. But don’t buy immediately since it could still drop further. Try to accumulate gradually over time before the next bull run in the coming years, because for me, $5k is kinda small and your ROI won’t be that big. So if you want to gain more, invest more. You don’t have to worry as long as you invest only in top coins like BTC, ETH, SOL, etc. Don’t go for memecoins, they’re not meant to be held long term.

Market cycles will change and you need to have a backup plan if you're serious about investing. You might need to be more patient if you only invest $5K without building your portfolio with DCA - so the choice is yours now. I'm not discouraging you from investing - but understand how the market and its cycles work so you won't be disappointed.

If you want to invest for the long term, you should buy DCA consistently. Current buying prices tend to be high because they're near the peak of the cycle - so DCA will lower your average buying price. Over time, you'll see returns with this approach.

It seems that you are still new and have been on the forum for a very short time. You should have come back to the forum for an answer. It is risky for new investors to decide to invest $5k at a time. Try to learn about the market and take advice from experts. The best way is to make decisions based on your own judgement.

By being regular in the forum, your insight about investing will be open and you will be aware of the right investment vehicles. By entering the market slowly, you will gradually gain maturity and experience. It is better to use discretionary funds for investment because the market can become volatile at any time with the possibility of getting high profits.

In the short term, we have not yet found a definite view about the current market situation and it really makes us wonder whether there is a possibility for bitcoin to get another price increase and or print a new ATH again. I think someone who wants to buy must have a big risk responsibility.

Q4 this year is already at the peak of the cycle and that is the big question for us whether Bitcoin still has a probability or not, and if the goal is long term then what you say is true, it is better to simplify the amount of investment and make regular purchases, the current price is considered still high considering that we only fell -15% from the ATH with a candle needle of -18%, and usually the decline from the peak of the cycle is more than 50% to the lowest price.

The best time to buy Bitcoin is when you have enough money. There is no set time to invest in Bitcoin. The best time to invest is when you can make a sensible income from your flowing money. Waiting for a dip in the market makes it very difficult to maintain a long-term investment. Because if you get the dip you expect, if there is another dip after investing, you will get scared and sell the investment and lose. So, instead of waiting for a dip, the best time is to start investing regularly using the prudent income and DCA method.

That is wrong. If you have the money but the bitcoin is at a peak price, I think that is not really something that we can do, it is not going to be easy at all. Because investing into bitcoin at a high peak level makes no sense at all, we should be careful about it and not do it at all. I understand wanting to do better but that doesn't mean that we are going to get the best results when we do that.

So you should be able to wait it out and invest when it's down. So when you invest in it while it's under 110k, that will be better than investing when it was above 120k, so there is a big difference there. I understand not wanting to be investing into something that is risky, but that doesn't mean that you are going to make profit when it's at the top neither.

Yeah bro, I get your point bruh and it actually makes sense, but I kinda see it in another way.. It is not necessarily only when you have excess money that you should buy Bitcoin..
Sometimes, it is about using a part of your income that would not affect your day to day needs, like discretionary funds. You don’t have to wait till you are loaded before stacking starts.. The key is being consistent with what you can afford, no matter how small. That is literally what DCA is all about, slow and steady accumulation without pressure..

It’s really a good idea if you can do that, holding $5k isn’t a bad idea, when you are trying to buy a coin, then it’s better you focus only on bitcoin, I don’t trust all those altcoins, and I won’t encourage anyone to invest in any altcoins. If you are planning to invest, just focus on bitcoin, that’s the only coin which I know you can hold for a long term without panicking, if the price drops, just make sure you keep holding, and the price is going to bounce back, but if you invest in some altcoins, when the price drops, it might not really bounce back.

If you are planning to invest in bitcoin, just keep on accumulating it gradually, you don’t have to wait for dip before you going to start buying bitcoin, just use DCA strategy when investing, and you won’t be having any problem.

While now many strategies are working for small investors always keeping few things in mind surely good idea because just invest which you can afford to lost is first priority while having good wallet is also important because not your keys not your funds is always important.
Never listen things which increase negativity these always create chaos and never help to build your good future I personally faced few things which always increase problems and never improve my portfolio due to weak mindset.

You're right with what you're saying because investing in Bitcoin is for everyone regardless of the money you have. The only difference is that we all get to invest in Bitcoin as our pocket can handle. For someone that has alot of money, they can buy more Bitcoin than those that don't have enough money but that doesn't mean the average individual shouldn't be buying Bitcoin. Everybody can buy but we should be buying according our finances and buying in smaller quantities is better than waiting until we have big amounts of money to buy large quantities. Right now is a perfect time to buy Bitcoin because the price is low and you'll be able to get more quantities.

If you have enough money and can hold Bitcoin for a long time without any problems or pressure, then you can buy Bitcoin at any time. Because it is historically proven that those who bought Bitcoin and hold it patiently have already profited from Bitcoin. There is no question about the potential of Bitcoin, Bitcoin has already proven it. So I think you can enter the market for the long term. Everyone is a little hesitant to give financial advice to others, so you should make your own decisions.

If you invest $5k, you can profit in a very short time, no matter what moment you buy it in the market, but it will not have a big impact on your life
Yeah, I get what you mean..  If you are thinking long term, then any time is cool to buy.  You just sha need to keep adding little by little and give it time..
But for me, I feel the best time to buy is when you actually understand what you are getting into, not just because the price is pumping or everyone is talking about it. Bcus it’s only when your understand Bitcoin you can think long term.. if you keep waiting for that perfect dip it may never really comes.. Sometimes it is better to just start small when nobody is paying attention and hold tight for the future..

Having $5k invested in Bitcoin for a long term is absolutely quite better than having the same amount invested in our traditional banking system where it literally has little or no interest rate. Because ever since Bitcoin came and became popular, it is obvious it has been the investors top priority asset with a huge success winning potential. I think while thinking about investing over $5k in Bitcoin, I also think making it's security your top priority is also one thing that shouldn't be compromise with too. Because having such huge amount in an exchange wallet is equally the biggest mistake you may want to make, since the exchange can be hacked and you lose your money since you don't have full control over it's private keys. And as such making non custodial wallet a top priority Bitcoin wallet to use.

Well said. The best time to buy bitcoin is when we understand it and know what we are getting into. We should not invest in bitcoin just because everyone is talking about it, or saying this is the bottom and the best time to buy. Because even if we have the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a big discount, it is very difficult to hold it until it becomes profitable if we do not understand it well.

Like many people had the chance to buy bitcoin very early but not many people could hold it for long time. Because they don't really understand it, their belief in it is not strong enough.

If you have $5000, you can use it for Bitcoin investment. Bitcoin reached $106,000 yesterday, if you can buy or have bought from this $106,000, you will still have a fairly good profit. Moreover, if you want to hold it for a long time, you can also invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the best for long-term investment. I cannot give you any advice for investing in Altcoins because Altcoin investment is much riskier than Bitcoin investment, but you can invest in Ethereum.

It's never good to invest in what you know nothing about cause it would definitely end up in ruins, Bitcoin investment has it's own risk no doubt but understanding it would give the investor an advantage over possible obstacles that could hinder the investment, some people don't even know that investing in Bitcoin requires them to be patient, they think it something they'll put their money into and get rich in the near future.

It doesn't work that way for Bitcoin since it's an investment that requires one to hodl it for long to add value to what you're putting into it, that's why understanding it is the best approach and not investing simply cause people are doing so, without knowing what it's all about, such person could be forced to withdraw everything when volatility occurs.

No one can tell when is the best time to buy bitcoin. anyone who is till confused about when is the best time to buy bitcoin should just forget about buying and concentrate more to understand bitcoin. for one who understands bitcoin and understand what they want bitcoin for and understand how long they need to hodl bitcoin, when to buy bitcoin is never a problem because they know if they buy buy now they are looking into the future for profit. if you have not yet understand their is no perfect time to buy bitcoin, even if peopple sugest foe you when to buy or you try to force yourself to buy, you will still find it difficult to hodl bitcoin because their is sometrhing lacking which you need to understand.

There’s no such thing as a perfect entry point when it comes to Bitcoin, because nobody really knows what’s going to happen next in the market. some days it looks bullish and everyone’s confident, then the next week it dips and panic sets in. that’s why trying to time your buy perfectly will only stress you out, and most times you’ll end up missing good opportunities. the best thing to do is use DCA, buy small amounts at different times, and keep stacking over the long run. But before you even think about buying, you have to make sure you understand what Bitcoin actually is and how to protect it. a lot of people rush to buy just because of hype and then lose everything because they stored it wrong or panicked during a dip. take time to learn how wallets work, how to keep your private keys safe, and how to make your holdings secure from hackers or exchange risks.

When you fully understand why you’re buying Bitcoin and what your goal is, timing won’t matter much anymore. people who know what they’re doing buy with confidence because they’re not chasing short term gains, they’re building for the future.

You can plan to invest in Bitcoin with this amount of money, but in this case, you can change your strategy and buy Bitcoin. Changing your strategy means that instead of buying Bitcoin with $5,000, you can divide this $5,000 into several parts and after a certain period of time you can buy Bitcoin with this divided money. The advantage of buying Bitcoin in this way is that you can buy Bitcoin during different changes in the market, so you will never miss your investment opportunity.

You gave the headline of your topic as if the current time is a good time to buy Bitcoin, yes, since an investor can start investing from any level of Bitcoin price if he invests in a long-term plan, so considering this, I will definitely tell you that the current time is definitely a good time to buy Bitcoin.

No doubt Bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency that has proven that it can always reach ATH, also among trusted investment assets like gold it has also proven itself to be a top profitable asset. From Bitcoin historical patterns it has shown that it is reliable to invest a lot of funds into that will run into millions of dollars. Have no doubt about investing your $5000 into it but if you feel compelled to diversify your funds into other cryptocurrency you can choose reputable altcoins but you should invest over 80% into Bitcoin alone. The longer you hodl your Bitcoin the more profitable it will be for you so do DCA or buy in lump sum and hodl for a long term.

The decision is yours and should be based on your understanding of the asset and why you should hold it for the long term.
I'm not saying Ethereum isn't a good investment, but if Bitcoin can provide certainty, why choose anything else? Especially since we always see four-year cycles that can lead to new price movements.
If you consider it an alternative, then this shouldn't be a primary investment, but rather simply capitalizing on the momentum to profit.

Speaking of the long term, we certainly see opportunities in Bitcoin because it's a more tested asset and offers certainty.
Some people make percentages regarding the assets they hold, but most of us would probably choose Bitcoin.
I'm sure you have a plan for it, but it should be viewed based on the best possible growth potential you can achieve.

That's a pretty big number for me. Keep going, my friend. While ETH is still in a correction, it's possible that $5,000 will turn into $10,000 when ETH shows its true performance as the king of altcoins.
Altcoin performance won't be good if Bitcoin hasn't seen a price recovery in the market, and this has been seen frequently in the market. So, even though some people are very fond of altcoins, they also have to hope that Bitcoin won't experience a price decline in the market. And now that Bitcoin is starting to see a price recovery again, we can all see that alcoins are also experiencing the same thing, especially altcoins like ETH. This price increase is driven not only by fans but also by the significant level of buying power from traders and investors.

Yeah, that's spot on. Bitcoin really is the kingpin of the whole market. When BTC moves everything else follows. It's good to see ETH bouncing back too the buying volume definitely looks stronger this time around.

It's true that the correlation is pretty strong. I've noticed that altcoins can sometimes lag behind Bitcoin's recovery by a few days or weeks though. But when they do catch up the gains can be pretty impressive. Hopefully this momentum holds. I'm cautiously optimistic about this recovery but I'm keeping my expectations in check. We've seen false starts before where Bitcoin pumps and then pulls back taking altcoins down even harder. Bitcoin leads altcoins follow. That's been the pattern for years now. Let's hope this uptrend continues for a while.

Short term holding means trading and to be able to start trading we need to rely on technical, fundamental analysis as well as careful market assessment. Don't buy indiscriminately without analysis and just listen to other people's advice.

What guarantees that when bitcoin price drops to $105,000, it will definitely rise to $110,000 soon after? Also, when trading/speculating, only use a moderate amount of money, it would be bad advice to advise beginners to use more money than they have.

The market is very unpredictable, no one knows when the bear market will happen and how much the bitcoin price will fall. So in the long run, why don't we use DCA strategy instead of waiting for something uncertain?

Good ideas, I think every one always have priority coins, bitcoin or any specific coin controlling every time better invest at that coins without following the other people recommended and seems not popular coins for him. Investing at coins have understand well about how lowest price decreasing and how much higher price increasing by your self and understand well about possibility price in the future have chance to raise up or down.

Don't investing trough someone else because not really recommended for us and we can't predicting about the other guarantee to earn profit with their coin investing or not in other side usually not transparent when investing trough the other people. If not really popular with cryptocurrency better focus for investing in bitcoin and just wait and see when the correction moment for buying, its not difficult understand well about bitcoin price usually after decreasing easy recovering back to higher price.

I agree, bitcoin is the king, and whatever it does, others follow and that's going to stay as the case forever. Crypto is run through bitcoin first and everyone buys and sells bitcoin first, then we do with the altcoins but first all comes to bitcoin. This is why I think it's clear that we are not going to see this be a concern at all. I know it is going to take a while but it can be done and we are not going to see this change.

However, we need to also put in some amount of attention towards altcoins at times, not that you have to, but if nobody in the world cares about that, then we are talking about a huge market crashing which hurts bitcoin too. Remember the whole LUNA fiasco? When that happened, it hurt bitcoin too and price crashed a bit.

In my opinion, if you have $5000, then you should definitely invest it in Bitcoin. Since you have a long-term plan, then you should hold Bitcoin, it will give you high profits. If you hold Bitcoin for 10 to 12 years, your $5000 Bitcoin will increase several times and give you a good profit. However, you need to be well-versed in the market and have patience because the market can be volatile at times, so you should not get discouraged. If you are a patient investor, then you will hold one for a long time and you will not hold any alternative coin to Bitcoin. If you hold all the other coins, you may face losses, that is why you should invest only in Bitcoin and keep it in a safe place.

You just gave him the best advice and true Bitcoin lover would give to someone interested in Bitcoin investment, it is the best coin for someone that has plans for holding for a very long period, imagine investing $5k then Bitcoin gets to a $1m in a decade from now, that's a very huge profit and I hope he'll take your advice seriously.

You're also right about being patient, it's not just about investing but being patient enough to wait till it adds better value, it's just like planting a seed then waiting patiently to watch it grow then produce fruits not only that but allowing the fruit get ripe before harvesting it, that's what Bitcoin investment is all about.

Even a few years ago, people did not have very good knowledge and skills about investing. At that time, they were very interested in altcoins because they invested in those altcoins in an attempt to make more profit from their investment. But when the news of altcoin scams started spreading, people realized that altcoins can never reach the same level as Bitcoin. Since then, Bitcoin has been one of the most trusted and reliable investments. Even if altcoins can dominate the market for a while through hype, it is temporary, which is why Bitcoin is always the best. Even when the price of Bitcoin is down, Bitcoin is also the best. Who are aware about Bitcoin will definitely give Bitcoin the highest priority in investing.

Now is the right time to invest, although bitcoin does not have a specific time for investment, but we are experiencing the dip now which buying should be made right away since you will be holding for a long term, which every strategy you feel will be comfortable to you among dca or lump should be used.go

Going for investment in eth is a very wrong direction and if you insist having another Investment should be something else not eth, because no matter how long you hold it in eth, the returns will not be good at all compared to bitcoin returns in future.

To me I think the best advice for the guy is to focus on building a good portfolio in bitcoin before thinking of shifting some percentage of his income into other assets. You should try to follow a systematic accumulation strategy to invest in Bitcoin. If you have enough money, you should not buy without understanding the investment. You should consider whether the amount of capital you will use is risk tolerant. Bitcoin is a volatile asset and its value should not be assumed to always rise. Due to the limited supply the price of Bitcoin is likely to skyrocket in the future. But at the same time, it is good to consider the risk of price decline.

Therefore, accumulation Bitcoin through discretionary income is an ideal method because the process of meeting the daily needs of the family and holding Bitcoin will continue to happen simultaneously. Yes, a buying lump sum during the price of decline event would be great if you have extra floating funds.

You should continue the DCA strategy regularly for at least 2-3 cycles not limited to a 3-4 years target because increasing the holding and potential price increase can give you high profits.

HODLing $5k worth of Bitcoin for long may not be that profitable because the profile margin will depend on the leverage of Bitcoin, for example if Bitcoin is at $100k price and you have $5k invested in it, bitcoin will need to hit 2x which is $200k price for your $5k to turn $10k then how long will it take Bitcoin to hit $200k? So what you need is either look for others alternative to source out fund and keep investing in Bitcoin through DCA or buy Every dip. But If you decide to diversify into Altcoin, I can't guarantee you how profitable it can be. But for me is either Bitcoin or diversify into other form of physical investment than investing in altcoin. But if the altcoin happens to be Ethereum and BNB them it's fine but aside that I can't guarantee how profitable it will be in the long run.

You gave the headline of your topic as if the current time is a good time to buy Bitcoin, yes, since an investor can start investing from any level of Bitcoin price if he invests in a long-term plan, so considering this, I will definitely tell you that the current time is definitely a good time to buy Bitcoin.

In this case, every investor should choose the money correctly. There is no exact timing required to buy Bitcoin. But if there is a good phase in the market, then it is better to refrain from buying as we have seen in the past. When bitcoin created new ath then later bitcoin started falling and is currently at 100k. It doesn't get much higher than that. So we should observe before investing. When is the right time to buy, but if you have enough and want to invest for the long term. Then you can buy anytime. And always be careful, the market never likes to stand still.

You can buy BTC in this current price, and you can also decide not to buy now until the price dump to $50k again before you can buy and hodl for long years, which is your choice. Any price you buy BTC from, make sure you are hodling BTC for long time, because that is what will give you confidence to see favourable market that will make you look professional.

BTC is volatile and it have the capacity to continue pumping to live long in the market to grant short time and long time hodlers favour in any of the bull market they wish to release their BTC.

Every time is a good time to buy if you have the money to buy bitcoin, those that bought yesterday are luck if you buy today good also because you just bought a good store of value that will increase in value tomorrow.
Bitcoin price will increase maybe 3-4 years that will come and the price will be more than what the price is now.
If you have money to buy bitcoin now buy but don't forget to buy bitcoin with money you can afford to loss.

When buying Bitcoin, instead of thinking about the price, just think about buying consistently, and have the ability to hold it for the long term, more important than what price you buy Bitcoin at, is how long you can hold it. So don't delay in buying, if you delay or wait for the price to drop, you will only fall further behind, so invest through DCA and maintain it for the long term, then the chances of success are highest.

When investing in Bitcoin, you must have a goal or target you want to achieve. What I mean is before investing in Bitcoin you must have the right perspective on it. This can be done by studying Bitcoin, studying its price history, and understanding its fundamentals. By thoroughly studying Bitcoin, you will gain a different perspective on the asset.

This will make it easier to determine your goals. Once you have a clear goal, you can buy Bitcoin at any time, as any time is the right time to buy. If you wait for the right time to buy Bitcoin, you will miss the opportunity, especially since the market is always moving, as you say. The point is investing in Bitcoin requires a diverse perspective so you can be sure of your goals. Price fluctuations or increases won't cause you to panic, let alone change your decision.

My friend from the best of my knowledge i think their is no specific time to buy because I consider all time the right time. The more you keep procrastinating, waiting and looking for the best time to buy bitcoin is the more you become the no coiner set of investors , because every wasted time of yours due to one excuses or the other is like a wasted treasure thrown in to the ocean, however it's of your best interests investing now that their is still hope because you wouldn't want to be left out when bitcoin hit its peak.

You are right. There is no fixed time to buy Bitcoin. You can buy Bitcoin without any delay because its price is still at a very low level. The possibility of Bitcoin being worth $1 million in the future and in that ratio the price is still in its infancy. Bitcoin has crossed $100k in just 15 years from its initial stage to the present time and the highest ATH was around $125k. During this time, it is only passing through an initial stage and will spread more among people worldwide. As demand increases, its price will increase further but supply is limited. Now is the right time to make yourself a bitcoiner where the opportunity for global Bitcoin finance has been created.

True, bruhh.. I sha feel like waiting for the perfect time to buy Bitcoin is what makes most people miss out. What I feel is, nobody can predict the exact top or bottom.. What really matters is getting in and staying consistent with your buying plan..

If your mindset is long term, then now is a good time as any.. Whether Bitcoin is $30k or $70k, it would not matter much years later if you keep accumulating and holding.. The main goal is to build position and let them grow heavy..

I always want to tell those who are thinking of starting a new investment that you should not worry too much about the price of Bitcoin, but you should start investing with courage and try to continue this investment continuously for a long time. Those who have problems with the price of Bitcoin always lag behind in investing, that is why they lag behind in investing because they think that the market will go down further and the less Bitcoin they can buy, the more likely they are to make a profit. But the problem here is that none of us have a complete idea about the next movement of Bitcoin, so it is really foolish to sit and think about when it will decrease or increase. If we are not ready to take the risk of money at all to invest, then first we can set aside some money from our extra expenses and we can invest with the money set aside from those extra expenses. Our desire is the real thing, if we really have the desire to invest, then somehow the money will be managed for continuous investment.

Every time really can be a good time to buy Bitcoin if you’ve got the money for it because it’s not about timing the market perfectly it’s about being in it for the long run those who bought yesterday those who buy today or even next week all have one thing in common they’re holding an asset that keeps proving its worth over time Bitcoin might move up or down in short term but over the years it always finds new highs. Waiting for the perfect dip sounds smart but it rarely works because no one knows when the bottom or the next big jump will come the best move for most people is to build slowly through DCA buying small amounts regularly instead of trying to guess the perfect price that removes stress and keeps you consistent even when the market shakes.

Sure Bitcoin can still fall maybe to 50k or anywhere lower for a while but that doesn’t erase its long term growth as long as you only invest money you can afford to lose and keep your emotions steady you’ll be fine patience is the key those who hold through cycles are the ones who end up with the biggest gains not those who panic or wait forever for a perfect price. So don’t worry too much about short term noise just focus on staying consistent and building your position over time because in the end Bitcoin rewards those who believe in time not timing.

That is just the fact they don't have any actually day, month or year to buy Bitcoin anytime you have enough funds you can buy it and set your target and wait for your target for the long term and anytime the price increases you will surely achieve your profit. But if you think you will be waiting for others opinion before buying bitcoin be can be like waiting of time because you will always see difference opinion, but if you have the believe in bitcoin and you have funds to invest to do that without anyone decisions because know one can predict bitcoin is always volatile and you can lose some of your capital and you can get huge profit depending on how the market is moving.

that is why is always advisable to invest what you can avoid to lose but if you set your target in bitcoin and leave it for long term you'll surly get your profit without losing because anyone that lose in bitcoin he didn't wait for profit to comes before selling the coins. In my opinion if you have the knowledge about bitcoin you can invest currently because we don't have time to invest because is always a good time to invest if you are patient type and can hold for long. I will always advise you should invest now but if is a short term investments just don't invest he will be more better you should go and take the high risk and trade but if is about bitcoins investment long term is the best option.

Yes, you are right. No one can tell the best time to invest in Bitcoin, as Bitcoin is unpredictable. If one has a real interest in investing in Bitcoin, the best he or she can do is to have knowledge about Bitcoin and do their own research. To perfect the market, after preparing yourself to invest, the easiest method you can use is called the DCA method. This means you invest an amount of money at regular intervals, no matter what the price is. This method will help reduce the risk and also keep you from buying only when the price is high. In my own opinion, the best time to buy Bitcoin depends on your own personal plan and how much risk you can be able to handle, because in Bitcoin investment, the price can change anytime. It is better to invest wisely instead of trying to guess the perfect time.

If someone could know the best time to invest in Bitcoin, that person would be the most profitable. But this is never possible. One way for those who want to profit from Bitcoin is to invest and hold it for the long term. For those who can do this, it is easiest to profit from Bitcoin. The best time to invest in Bitcoin is when there is a slight price correction and invest according to your ability. For those who do DCA, there is always the best time to invest. When the investor invests and what strategy to apply is completely up to him, but if someone can make a long-term deposit by doing DCA, he will have the opportunity to be the most profitable.

Actually, you cant have it both ways.

If you are disciplined enough to buy when the market crashes, and that is really the best time, you dont need DCA.  You need to be a savage.

If you go with dollar-cost averaging, you are skipping the chance for "most profitable", but you get a pretty good profit without all the stress.

So, you have to pick one: Do you want the easiest way to make money (DCA, a bit boring but it works) or the biggest gains (timing the market, risky but could pay off big)?  You cant be the safest and most profitable investor at the same time.

Yes, it is true that when the market is full of green candles, most investors rush to buy. For example, after a huge dumping, the market is now starting to normalize and the market is rising with one green candle after another. If you look at the market, you will see that many people are rushing to buy right now, which was not the same a few days ago when there was a lot of dumping in the market, so many people could have made a lot of profit on their investments at this time. In fact, even though people invest, many do not know the investment strategy. If they knew the investment strategy, then of course people would have bought more from the dumping market.

Usually, people who flock to buy when the market is back in the green, like now, are part-time traders simply trying to capitalize on temporary market conditions to profit. Because true investors who are more inclined to buy Bitcoin will always have the good idea to continue buying, regardless of whether the market is crashing or rising again, like now. And regarding increasing the number of assets in our respective portfolios, what you said is certainly not wrong and is very reasonable for any investor to do.

Here you have raised a good point about DCA investment, yes, those who have the ability should invest consistently within that ability. Maybe many of us may feel that our investment amount is less than others, but I would say that no amount of investment should be underestimated. Maybe the amount is small, but if an investor keeps investing this small amount regularly and if he can maintain this investment for five to six years, then it will be seen that at the end of a certain period of time, his capital amount alone is getting much higher. So, instead of waiting for the right time, one should start investing.

When buying, we should always try to buy at the lowest price possible, but if you only expect the price to be low to buy, then you are definitely making a mistake.
Because the dump you are waiting for may not come, but instead the price of Bitcoin will rise even higher, so it is good to buy dumps, but you should not just wait to buy dumps.
Continue to buy continuously, and try to buy dumps at the same time, buying large amounts of Bitcoin at low prices means that there is a high possibility of getting big returns in the future, but your first strategy should always be to buy continuously, and buying dumps, this will be an side strategy.

That is actually the best way to look at it..  Nobody can really predict the perfect time to buy Bitcoin, not even the so called experts..  The smart move is just to start, no matter how small, and stay consistent with it. Like you said, the small amounts might not look like much now, but with time they add up..
DCA is honestly one of the most stress free ways to build your position without worrying about timing the market. The key is patience and consistency, that is where the real magic happens..

It continues to be a good time to buy certainly far more then sell if those are the only two options.   The 200 day average was respected, the fact we already visited that point is good because its always fair to say BTC will periodically revist this area for affirmation.
The speculation is only whether that process is resolved, it would be good to be above the 50 day average regularly and reliably.  The battle is ongoing but its a bullish process imo.

It is true that there are many investors who continue to buy more in the green market in the hope of quick profits. Most of them are traders and are afraid to buy during periods of price decline due to the possibility of further decline. They may benefit from the market due to their skeptical thinking but they are mostly deviating from the kind of fundamental investment thinking that a real investor has.

Many investors do not rush to buy even when they see red digits because they expect more dips but it is impossible to find the actual DIP value in the market. It is also impossible to predict the level at which the market will fall.
The best strategy is to accumulate Bitcoin regularly regardless of the price. The DCA method is a suitable strategy for Bitcoin because by following a steady process during periods of price decline or rise, a real investor can get a taste of it and achieve a stable financial capacity in the future.

HODLing $5k for a very long time is not a bad idea but the system is more better if you can be adding BTC weekly or monthly thorough DCA depending on how your discretion fund is readily available. Actually Bitcoin investment is a continuous investment that will last for a long period of time before you will stop. Not just investing at once and stop, you might be tempted to sell it if you don't cultivate the habit of adding it regularly. Bitcoin investment is ocastrated with discipline otherwise you invest now and sell later. If you want to diversify, I think you should just buy some eth and BNB and more to Bitcoin.

I would suggest you to invest in Bitcoin, and if you have more money then you can buy Bitcoin according to the DCA method. Buying Bitcoin according to the DCA method will make it easier to hold your Bitcoin investment for the long term. But I would not recommend holding Ethereum in any way from my personal opinion.
Because Bitcoin is only compatible with long term investment, I would suggest you to keep your money in Bitcoin for a long time.

Whether it is a “good time” for Bitcoin depends on several factors: When the market cycle is in an uptrend, buying is usually a good idea.
The price may fall further in the price decline phase, but there is also an opportunity to buy at a lower price. Bitcoin prices are likely to rise as interest rates fall, as investors look for alternative assets. Entry points can be determined by looking at price charts, trend lines, and volume. Risk tolerance. Bitcoin fluctuates a lot. If you plan to hold for the long term, then temporary fluctuations may have little impact. Now, if the rate cut signal, market cycle, and BTC trend are all positive, then this could potentially be a good time to buy. However, you can never be 100% sure, so you should decide according to your own risk and plan. Bitcoin (BTC) has completed its 2025 cycle — use DCA. This means: Bitcoin's entire 2025 market cycle has ended. A new cycle may begin, which will bring price fluctuations again. DCA is an investment strategy where you buy BTC regularly with a fixed amount of money, without making a large investment at any one time.  Does it. BTC at $60 per month?
Advantages of DCA: Less affected by price fluctuations. Stress-free investing over a long period of time is possible. Using the DCA strategy is a safe and gradual way to invest, which helps increase potential profits in the future.

If you are really thinking long term, I would honestly advise you to just stick with Bitcoin. It’s the most proven asset in the space, strong fundamentals, limited supply, and it is still early in the grand scheme. You could loop sum the $5k now and, if possible, keep DCA’ing whenever you can.
You might think ETH is cool, but I will say if your goal is long term preservation and steady growth, Bitcoin remains the safest and most solid bet..

Exactly bruh, Bcus Bitcoin has really proven itself over and over again in years, it is like the foundation of the whole crypto space… The fundamentals are unmatched, and no matter how many new projects come up, Bitcoin still holds that long term conviction edge.. I get the idea of DCA too, it is probably the best way to go through all the market volatility without stressing too much.
Yes the so called ETH might have its own cool ecosystem, but in terms of real preservation and safety, Bitcoin is still king for me too..

This is a perfect bitcoin buying time, since the price of Bitcoin is at a correction price that is lower than the previous all time high, and in a red directions which means we are at a discounted price era for traders to take advantage to fill their bag holdings, so there for we should always make some spare cash avaliable to take advantage of this kind of market at whatever period it comes by.

Compared to the current price with bitcoin's ATH of $126k, that means Bitcoin only corrected about 12%. This discount isn’t big enough to be considered the perfect time to buy Bitcoin. Not to mention, bitcoin may not have peaked yet and the bull season is not over yet, but the bear season can come at any time. Because based on the 4 year cycle, the bear season is closer than ever and during the bear season, bitcoin usually has a much better discount.

Therefore, whether to invest at this time or not, they should research and decide for themselves. They should not rely on the advice of others, just as we should avoid giving advice at sensitive times like this. That is completely unwise, IMO.

Investing in Bitcoin, every moment is suitable for buying, but this will depend on the investor's perspective. For those who are interested in investing for the long term, buying Bitcoin at any time is suitable. Especially those who are doing DCA know that buying regularly makes their investment more powerful. Even during this period when the price of Bitcoin is sometimes a little higher and sometimes a little lower, if an investor makes his investment regularly, he can benefit. Regular buying reduces the investor's risk and keeps him ahead of the way to profit.

This question of the best time to buy bitcoin is always reoccuring among investors both within the forum and outside the forum. This is because  people can hardly believe that bitcoin is always sustainable against all odds. Sometimes too this question usually emanates from bitcoin traders (gamblers) who time the market thereby leading to such questions as when it's best to buy and when it's best to sell.  However, a bitcoin investor does not have time to watch the chart neither does he have the luxury of time to keep wake. An investor only access hi wallet or exchange whenever he has a discretionary income. He invests and forgets almost completely because he is intentionally investing for the future. When a person aims at HODLing bitcoin for a long period of time as in decade(s) he is assured that in ten years to come, at least he could have a reward for holding patiently.

Let's say a salary earner who still has above 20 years of service and who also aims to use bitcoin as his retirement plan, he does not care about the price of bitcoin today but investing continuously. Bitcoin grew from less than $1 even as low as $0.09 to the current price of $110k in 16 years. This amounts to at least  many thousands percentage increase. So a beginner who has 20 years accumulation target and buys at all time would have an average cost price less than haft the price of bitcoin in 20 years time. A typical example of how cumulative cost per bitcoin is profitable comes from a dedicated DCA approach whereby the investor displines himself and invests as long as his basic income persists.

Keep this in mind so that you would understand that every bitcoin price is a good time to buy as long as you intend to HODL for a long time.
