Title: [ANN] Altdex.org | Altcoin Total Market Index [Beta] Post by: juanbond on April 03, 2014, 11:09:42 PM Announcing: Altdex.org - Altcoin Total Market Index (http://altdex.org) I'd like to announce a small beta project of mine: Altdex.org. It is meant to be a market index (a la S&P 500, Wilshire 5000, etc) representing nearly all of the altcoin market capitalization. Think of it as an indicator of the overall health of the altcoin economy. The index recalculates every 60 seconds, and incorporates individual coin market caps, the current USD price of bitcoin, and more. No need to refresh the page, new data is pulled in automatically. Keep in mind, I'm still tinkering with things a bit. I look forward to making this even more useful as an indicator of the altcoin economy... If I can find the time, I plan to eventually introduce a number of other cryptocurrency market indices, both broad and narrow. I welcome all feedback, suggestions, and questions! Windows users can flush their dns with "ipconfig /flushdns" (run as administrator).

More advanced financial instruments could be implemented on top of the index. Locking forward to trade some ALT futures. Think about it... I'll probably develop the index and site more for a while, but I will certainly be looking into having exchanges trade futures on this index.
