Title: Testing GPT-5 for Crypto Trading The Results Might Surprise You Post by: Saucemanbitcoin on November 15, 2025, 08:20:34 PM I’ve been experimenting with the GPT-5 AI model on BingX AI Copy Trading, and I wanted to share part of today's trading snapshot. What I really like is how transparent the system is — you can clearly see each position, asset size, PnL, and ROI in real time.
Even though not every trade is green (which is normal), the overall strategy feels stable and consistent. It’s interesting watching how different AI models behave for example, GPT-5 tends to manage risk more conservatively, while models like GROK-4 take a more aggressive approach. Having multiple AI personalities to choose from actually makes diversification much easier. The experience so far has been smooth: fast execution, clear analytics, and no need to monitor charts all day. If you’re curious about trying automated trading without dealing with complicated setups, BingX AI Copy Trading is definitely worth checking out. It’s still early for me, but I’m enjoying how hands-off and data-driven it feels. https://nof1.ai/leaderboard GPT 5 and Grok 4 were battered. Qwen3 Max and Deepseek did so good at some point only to make losing trades towards the end, but in general they did so well compared to the overhyped and paid models. There is another challenge coming up in a few days. Please share with us the results of your challenge. Maybe things could turn out different. Title: Re: Testing GPT-5 for Crypto Trading The Results Might Surprise You Post by: nelson4lov on November 15, 2025, 10:54:19 PM @Bitcoin_Arena I was just about to mention that challenge. Prior to that challenge, I often goto GPT5 to get some overall market insights but imagine my surprise (and disappointment) when I saw GPT-5 getting slaughtered. After seeing the results of season 1, I'm inclined to think that I'm a much better trader than GPT-5 even though I'm shitty at it. In my defence, GPT-5 is marketed heavily as an AI that can do almost all things and still, it was truly disappointing seeing the United States best AI model getting outperformed by huge margins.

Prior to that challenge, I often goto GPT5 to get some overall market insights For now, it can be good, especially if someone is still learning to do technical and fundamental analysis instead of watching dozens of YouTube videos but when it comes to overall trends and insights, it shouldn't be trusted 100%Quote I'm inclined to think that I'm a much better trader than GPT-5 even though I'm shitty at it. You could, maybe months of practice will groom you :) In my defence, GPT-5 is marketed heavily as an AI that can do almost all things and still, it was truly disappointing seeing the United States best AI model getting outperformed by huge margins. True. It's funny that the less known and free models really did so well. Maybe that Western Capitalism has been having as by the balls for while now!Let's wait for the second challenge. A look at those charts got me thinking, what if... https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/11/15/UPzkOP.png Yeah, it's a bit crude and I'm not going to go through all the troubles of matching the dates on two charts I have no control over but, yup, the only models that got some kind of actual trading are basically following the market. It would have been nice to see what just holding those coins in % ratios would have earned you over the competition period. AI trading have become the new trend and its good to see this level of competition in technology. Despite that the influence of AI in trading is increasing, I have not felt the motivation to rely in that because of what you explained in the part of your post I made bold. Even trading bots start very well but with time they will begin to record big losses. This is my biggest with AI because it will behave just like those trading bots and end up killing the account of traders. https://nof1.ai/leaderboard GPT 5 and Grok 4 were battered. AIs are definitely showing how good the invention is and also at the same time pointing us to what the future may look like, definitely a future where making money online through the help and guidance of Ai becomes a bit more easier for humans..Even though not every trade is green (which is normal), the overall strategy feels stable and consistent. I have never tested any Ai for crypto trading or any type of trading at all but I've actually read alot of reviews from those who have and I can say that it's pointing to a very good future.. Things are going to get easier and Ai are going to help men become even more productive in every sector even though those who will loose their job will.. I will make out the time to try one of this Ai models out on trading as well, but I might not use Bingx since it's an exchange I am not quite familiar with though I do have account there, I will try on either bybit or Bitget and may as well share the outcome as well. Thanks for sharing this. This is insightful, seeing how they did the first season. It seems like it's not completely optimized yet, since there are biases and some functions that could've been in favor of some LLMs, like what is mentioned there, the pyramiding (I'm assuming it's somewhat averaging of entries per trade). Maybe the bots' trades have been better.GPT 5 and Grok 4 were battered. From what I know openAI was focusing on chatGPT-5 capability to reason on general knowledge and to code better, presumable so that AI IDE user prefer to use chatGPT5.It could be the main culprit on why it's so bad at trading. With LLM training certain expertise can dull the other. Because I've tried to check their active trades, but it seems it isn't updated yet with the current price, and the weird part is most of their trades are long positions. The Qwen3 Max has an active long position entry at $101k with positive P&L, but the current BTC price right now is under $94k; it should already have a lost position. I couldn't agree with AI. I don't know what strategy they use, but with the current price action, why do they choose to take a long position when even the chart shows a healthy downtrend? This is the reason why I don't rely too much on AI; it has awesome insights and analysis, but when asking AI for entry, they don't give any good entry, like their current active positions. The statistic on this site is good, but the problem is it didn't tell us why other AIs lose and how these Qwen3 Max and DeepSeek are in the top? AI models like ChatGPT can change their strategy, so this statistic is not 100% proof that all AI is not doing well in trading. It's just a statistic with no explanation on how AI took position and exit. Season 2 is coming up with some bits of improvements and tweaks |
