Or if you are thinking to make first block halving after couple of years then that too wouldn't be a good idea as mining after release or after a year will give same reward and eventually miners wil lose interest . Either decreasing the time frame of 8 years would be a good idea or decreasing the total number of coins so they will have relative block reward . Just my 2 cents .
