I just bought 7 of these (http://www.bensoutlet.com/products/ati-5870), seems like a decent price for new hardware. (At least, on the site it SAYS they are new, but I'll find out when they arrive...)

Will look like these (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54617.0) more than likely

Actually no, and I'm kind of pissed. They probably wait for them to sell out completely before shipping. Also, they are shipping to me in 7 separate boxes (fail) instead of one big one. I do have tracking numbers, but UPS hasn't picked them up yet.

I thought seriously about purchasing 4 to fill up a motherboard, but then I ran the numbers...

I'm not paying electricity, but even if I was, payback would be 200 days at current difficulty and price. Free electricity is making it look closer to 150 days, which is a win in my book.

Yeah, free electricity FTW...  I'm on PG&E's CARE program... So that helps out.

I was about to pull the trigger on a couple of these, but between the HD 7XXX series and the new wave of FPGAs coming out, I decided to pass.  Still an awesome deal though.

7970 won't likely be much greater than a 6990/5970 and those damn Butterfly Labs FPGAs are too 'spensive!

Yeah I bought 10 of them... 10 seperate UPS tracking numbers... labels created, but none have shipped.

Makes me a tad bit nervous as I haven't purchased from this store before... and its not exactly a small order.

As far as I can gather, they just suck, but you should get your stuff eventually. I guess I shall find out. Gives me a few more days to find and install a motherboard tray in my open miner, but hell I want my cards!!  ;D

Yeah they drag ass when it comes to shipping.  See my reference to this the original thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55188.msg659549#msg659549

However, from what my co-worker tells me, they do eventually ship.

for people who have never dealt with shipping ecommerce. This is kinda a normal practice depending on the level of products that are shipped out. DHL seems to be the one that will give you a better deal, but arange a weekly or biweekly pickup. UPS, Fedex and USPS tend to not discount as much, but will pickup daily.

DHL discontinued domestic US service a few years ago, sadly.  It's too bad, they were 10x better than UPS and FedEx.
