Post by: idev on April 08, 2011, 04:17:58 PM
Hello BC'ers

im trying to install the BC client on my mac but i seem to be having some problems,

Im following this guide HERE (http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:aFqr2eHHVpgJ:heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/mac-build/Bitcoin-MacOSBuildInstructions.pdf+how+to+install+bitcoin+on+10.4+mac&hl=en&gl=uk&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESiFt_-mxjbH7tFu8j_zgwp4jMsf-9i95yQV1u4gyZDxiudre3Hv_4KyDXHGsp1McloqzEaNZd8CpArFITQn6kwpXSImdAXE9PqJvfyWEDhQFHhmXxYcp6FiJTmruYPaZDz_fN0k&sig=AHIEtbTjOufG5w6D-0wB4ULc306MClKz5Q&pli=1) but im stuck at step 5

upon submitting "-pl < mac-svn-75.patch" my terminal just returns "-bash: -pl: command not found"

any pointers has to what im doing wrong?

Thanks

If you only need to run the BC app, you can download the binary from http://www.bitcoin.org/

(Looks like you are trying to compile the source yourself which is not needed if you download the binary)

Thank you, but i now have another problem,
seems today the BC client is not connecting to the network,
but it was yesterday  ???

Upon clicking generate coins the bc client says "(not connected)"
