There is going to be a BIG push by the 'fed' to get that last 3% of cash out of the market and move completely digital by 2017.. What are all the implications of that? no clue...

here in good old Germoney cash is still people's most preferred way to pay for groceries and other goods < €100.

credit cards are not very common here. much more is the EC/maestro debit card, and people still give you a strange look when you use it for smaller purchases.

The irony of this being reported by Russia's state propaganda agency is pretty rich. Like they just can't believe a government could be so authoritarian in this day and age  ::)

Is "Having strange odors" one of those 7? ;D

Seriously, though, could this open a door to a Bitcoin debit card that doesn't look suspicious, but still gives you cash-like anonymity?

I'll be standing in line with my lawn chair and cooler when this is announced.

See above, extreme religious views contrary to most those living in a southern baptist state, I always know what I'm doing when I'm drunk  :P

It's no longer the land of the free. It's now the land of the credit.
