Title: Multipools are making you waste hash power because of delayed stats
Post by: zerodrama on April 05, 2014, 02:43:11 PM
It appears multipools (ones that reference block explorers, instead of getting the details themselves) are using the difficulty of the SOLVED block instead of the CURRENT one.

The wobbly dips and peaks come from all the different difficulty handling algos. If you use a multipool you are missing out on the first opportunity to profit. And you are hanging around on unprofitable blocks. Not to mention the time delay for refreshing the stats.

I keep saying it: STOP USING ONE METHOD (TIME WARP). STOP USING ONE EXCHANGE (GOXOCAUST). STOP USING ONE THEORY (AUSTERITY). STOP BEING GOD DAMN LAZY (MULTIPOOL SKEW).

Serves you right, to be honest.

I think only reason forcing people to mine on multipools is lack of time or as you said lazyness.
Profit made on multipools is abot 50% of that you can earn when "actively" mining.

THAT TOO.

Fer chrissakes people, stop brand chasing. STOP THROWING EVERYTHING IN ONE BASKET.
