Title: P2Pool fees?
Post by: thunderstrikes on April 05, 2014, 08:10:53 PM
This website: http://p2pool.in/  says, "By default, P2Pool receives 1% to fund P2Pool's development. This fee is optional, but very welcome and useful"

This website: http://p2pool.org/  says, "Pool fee is 2%"

What is going on?

P2Pool.org is not the same thing as running your own P2Peer Pool node (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.0)

p2pool.org is just a person running a public p2pool node. They can set any fee they want. You should install p2pool yourself, or use a public scanner to find a public node with low latency to you.

Lists of public nodes.

Also this 0% fee node is well supported on the forum but does't appear to be on either of those lists:

Pick one that has the features, location, and level of support and reliability that you want.
