Title: If you know someone that at some point told you bitcoin is a Ponzi send him this
Post by: Bitcoin For Dummies on April 08, 2014, 01:52:47 PM
We just published the second episode of our educational series for bitcoin "Bitcon For Dummies".  In each one we try to bust common myth or misconception about bitcoin.
In this episode we explain why bitcoin is NOT a ponzi. Short, simple and to the point. (well as much as possible)
So, I bet you know someone that at some point told you bitcoin is a Ponzi? Well, send him this video and let us know his response, would be fun :)
Here is the video

Something about her voice / speaking style (not accent) makes it difficult for me to listen to and digest this.

People who believe Bitcoin is a Ponzi are usually not willing to pay attention to a single sentence response disproving their statement, much less watch a full 4 minute video  :-\

This, some people just don't wanna listen. More fool them and unfortunately thats an attitude that a lot of people have to general things in life.

I generally give up after a few trys, they'll come around at some point and if they dont its no real skin off my nose.

I don't mind looking at a pretty woman. But somehow in fields of tech and gaming, im always a little aggrivated by
female presenters who clearly don't have a clue of what they are saying, they are just reading a paper, a payed for pretty face used because of the primal features in us men.

In her own mind she would probably make more sense to herself talking Chinese...

Ontopic:
Great work. But I doubt Ponzi-sayers will be convinced by this video, since they do not use logic.

Or just send them the video from gold and silver.

Let them know that banks are the real Ponzi scheme

We don't want to fight the current system, but just to make it obsolete and replace it, right? :)

Bitcoin is not intended as a Ponzi scheme but... if the system of Bitcoin fails, it will have a similar effect of a Ponzi for investors; early adopters will have profited from the late adopters.  Also, the value of a bitcoin is dependent on its adoption.  Investing in Bitcoin is still a risk; which I have accepted and have taken.

It always really annoys me when people think bitcoin is a ponzi or a scam. Ironically they don't realise why fiat money is a scam.

Bitcoin is not a Ponzi. Technically, Bitcoin is a pump and dump.

Bitcoin is a tradeable security with no revenue or assets behind it. Like most pink sheet stocks. (http://"http://www.sec.gov/answers/pink.htm")

Bitcoin is NOT a Ponzi, but...
BTC does have some fascinating similarities to actual Ponzis and that is a primary reason why so many people call it one.
I'll never forget the first time I saw (on a "outside" forum discussion debating about Bitcoin) the phrase "Ponzi group think".
Anyone who believes we do not have a lot of Ponzi-like group think going on (especially during a strong Bull move) is completely blind or hopelessly in denial.
