I was thinking, is this ok to sell Bitcointalk forum account?

There is a possible to use it in wrong way ...
Someone can just buy a "Hero member" account and post some ... not reliable deals ... people will trust it more as user will be hero member :)

Is this legal to sell accounts here? It is not a  WoW account .. this is something different but if this is allowed I am not saying anything wrong about it ... just IMO this could be used for doing bad things ;)

Put simply, it's not not allowed.
If a user does sell an account, it won't be banned by any mod.
When dealing with any user, no matter what their label, always look at their trust, previous posts and recent activity. That can help you work out if it was a purchased account.
If in doubt, stay away :)

The only people buying accounts are up to no good so in essence you are promoting scamming

Account sales are actually allowed according to the forum rules. Some people may buy accounts to run sig adverts and get paid, so they're not only used for scamming.

Note: I don't condone it myself and would never sell my account so don't send me any buy offers.

5+ days and 20+ days. I've barely been joined for a couple months and I have 4.5 days.

Wow.... anyone has any idea on what are the criteria for member upgradations? Is it by time.... like how long you are registered? Number of posts? Activity?

Activity ... and activity grows each two weeks. So it is time + posts to be  upgraded.

Actually, ome to think of it, the time spent on a account isnt worth a few btc..

Like I say - 1000BTC would be ok, any lower - I would laugh.
My Bitcointalk account is much better than 2 or 3 or even 5 or 7 bitcoins :)

crazy prices for account, not sure how hero can be worth 3btc, you would need to post 1000 posts a month on some sig program to get you money back who knows when...

makes no sense at all

Someone paying that amount probably isn't doing it for the sig payments, it's for a larger scam.
