Title: Wanting to accept Bitcoin at local business
Post by: 0Ltyler on April 09, 2014, 05:48:07 AM
I own a metal fabrication business and am starting to make products that I can sell online. I wanted to accept Bitcoin, but am undecided on how to implement the address generation for each order. I've looked at the options on the wiki page and obviously the easiest method would be to pre-generate addresses. This would work for a while, but I really want to automate the process.

Does anyone here have any advice on the subject? What's a good way to check the block chain for received payments and update order payment status accordingly? Is there a rule of thumb time interval to send all funds to an offline wallet if the primary transaction wallet is held on the server?

Any pointers on the subject is greatly appreciated.

Welcome.
If no one answers soon you might want to move this to "project development."
One way to do that would be to report your own post to a mod (Report to moderator link), and ask them to move it.

Thanks for the info. Last night was my first time on the forum. Needless to say, there's a lot of years of Bitcoin discussion to catch up on. :)
