By the early decades of the 21st century, advertising techniques had become so efficient at manipulating the behavior of the masses that governments around the world, in the fear of losing their power, have collectively decided to ban all kinds of commercial propaganda. As a result, an industry collapses and vast empires disappear.

Without a constant flow of a persuasive force to lure people into spending money, the global economy starts to tumble. Public discontent is apparent and people are no longer trusting their leaders. Without the citizens’ faith in governments, currencies dissolve and trade, the fundamental element of economic prosperity, is slowing down rapidly.

A corporation, the former tech giant behind the largest Internet search engine, sees the disorder as an opportunity to come back from the verge of extinction and with all of its remaining resources starts to promote an emerging new kind of money. Called Bitcoin, the promise of a stable and completely anonymous measure of effort revitalizes the economy.

During this transformational period, a reclusive boy frequently clashes with the private militia of a former banking conglomerate which is desperately trying to restore the old system to regain its former degree of influence. Falsely accused of organizing a riot he and his family is sent to a labor camp. He manages to escape and during his search for justice, he discovers that the stake is not just the life of his family, but the freedom of humanity.

Many people, myself included, don’t care much about the technical details of an innovation, but the ways it helps their lives. A novel can not only TELL, but also SHOW what Bitcoin is.

Through dealing with themes like corruption caused by power, the abuse of a centralized financial system, and human rights violation, my novel will make people understand why a digital currency is such a good idea and thus help the widespread acceptance of Bitcoin itself as well.

I earn my living as a freelance translator and if I get enough support from the Bitcoin community I could spend my time on writing a full-length novel (70-80k words). This wouldn’t be my first piece and I wish to start working on this one full time on May 1st. The whole process (drafting, rewriting, editing) would take a maximum of 6 months and upon completion my work will be available for free.

Why don't you actually write it first then share a couple of chapters or so and see if people want to donate to get it published/printed?

I'm writing it, but I would like to gauge interest and receive some preliminary feedback.

Actually this sounds like a good story and I would probably read it in one day because it already has my intrest. I call movie rights!
