I have heard about the 15th as a date for what?

not sure about china but in the usa the 15th is tax day and a lunar eclipse ..

Its supposedly the deadline for banks closing exchange accounts

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised.  Time to save some pennies to start buying up some cheap coins before the inevitable spike back up.

Yes it would be very lucky for us ... but I think it is better for bitcoin to do not lose value any more.

Every day I check and the price is lower.  Probably something about China on the 15th.  I wish the China story would go away, let the price bottom out, and finally go back up again.

Yeah, going down to $100 doesn't sound like a good thing. Volatility is already really high.

Was wondering the cause this whole morning.

Probably nothing big for the bitcoin because it seems that they are selling for few days already and crashing the price.
But it's supposed to be an deadline and that banks will no further work with chinese BTC exchanges, they will have it forbidden by their goverment.

I am sure they will find a way to make BTC exchanges for Chinese people.

And indeed ... I am sure nothing more can happen to the price ... China is not 100% of bitcoin market and 2nd China traders will never abandon Bitcoin as they will find a way to trade and exchange.

Absolutely nothing. In a few days/weeks btc will go back over $1000 again and those losers who sold now and panicked all the time will lose a lot of money.

+Interesting that BTCChina has much influence owning to it's media connections + Bobby Lee's regular online interviews rather than it's trading volume! If/when they make an official statement i.e i) deposit freeze - I bet you the price will take a significant dip. ii) miracle workaround - price shoots back up.  Ridiculous seeing as they only trade 2000 - 4000 BTC/day

I guess people forget about 15th April since it was just another rumor.

It is amazing how fickle markets are.  Seriously who is doing all the panic selling when rumors first emerge, only to buy them back again when they turn out to be false?

seems like in 15th we will see that the china btc ban was another rumor and bitcoin will start to rise again to 600's

So much for all the FUD spreading, looks like nothing too drastic happening on the 15th it seems.

Looks more like something interesting might be happening over in the far East.

We have seen massive volumes being dumped in China in the past few days, tomorrow will be the last day for them to get out while they can. So expecting massive price drop.

I think the bad stuff from the threat of bad stuff happening on the 15th has already happened.

They aren't banning it yet.

Yes :) with a price movement of Bitcoin everything is possible.

Last time a ride from $500 to $1k was as I remember - from about ~16th dec to ~20dec? or it doesn't hit a 1k then?
Anyway it was close for sure in just a few days. But this was something different.

I suppose now we will see something more close to October 2013 :) day by day +~$30.

The negative news is priced in. BTC long term is here to stay.

Seems like the market is waiting for something to happen.

Yep it seems we've been around 460$ whole night...and alo yep meybe they are waiting for btcchina new product reveval i guess.

China.gov redoses everyone with amnesia drugs, and "bans bitcoin" again to tank the markets again.

Finally people notice what was rumor and what was fact.

Because China has bitcoin volumes which it could more the price significantly and it's a known fact that they even manipulate currencies. This could be another trick to get more bitcoins to China when it's cheap!

The recovery has been really fun so far.

This market is so strange, lots of us were thinking it will downfall big time with the news. But what happens it rises haha.

So many times I wanted to panic sell, but I didn't. I was thinking it goes back to 200 and then I buy some more, to late now damn :) Happy that I kept what I was having.

The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but think that these Chinese announcements are just a scheme to lower the BTC price.

Everything happened as a "knee jerk" reaction prior to the 15th... People who reacted on the 15th were late to the party.

The same chinese officials are the ones who bought it right back up to $500, they just dont want you to know that.

That is pretty much what happened the whole once its news its over vibe at least the price has stabilized now and we don't need to talk about the 15th since it passed.

And when bitcoin price back to $1000

it's a false trail for sure. 8) 8)
