I sold 33%
Will buy back between 250 and 320 USD.
If we do not reach that exchange rate, I will buy back at 410 USD

Hodled 100%, drank a glass of good mead, and still felt as sure as ever that the value (if not the price) of a bitcoin is well over ATH :)
How stress-free life is for long-term hodlers.

You didn't include an option for "wait for it to hit $100 then go all in." :P

Need to add another value for the "didn't do anything/couldn't do anything" segment.

I'm not sure I can believe that losing > 20% value in a day is "stress free" but whatever works for you. I would find long term holding 100% of the time extremely stressful

Hodled shorts, and amusingly watching how prices tank.

The market price is irrelevant if you believe Bitcoin will realise its long-term potential, and you did not invest more that you can afford to lose.
And it did not lose 20% value in a day, the price dropped 20%, that is quite different! It still is the superior currency.

I sat back with popcorn enjoying the entertainment from the panic and nervous sellers.  ;D

The panic selling has already happened. Most of the new users have already sold; the only ones left appear to be the long term holders and the day traders.

The resistance is all day traders speculating on a bottom but the external interest just isn't there with any force. The old money is draining out of the market faster than the new money coming in... This is going to get ugly until the market is saturated with liquidity and a huge portion of the total coins can be purchased.

black friday was named because it was the first day most retailers went into the black (positive net income). i don't think most btc holders are going into the black today...

I ignored it and did nothing.

Not even sure what the big deal is. We had a bigger crash than this the first time China banned Bitcoin.

Decided to buy my first few bitcoin since it was at tree fiddy, had to wait for bank account verification, kept refreshing my bank deposits until I fell asleep, woke up and it was at $430. Well, it was about that time that I notice that coin was about eight stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era.

To all the hodlers out there, Hodler is one of my favorite painters.

Ferdinand Hodler

that is a very nice picture; like a ring of hodlers with a day-trader in the center, looking up to them asking "will it grow? will it? should I cut it down now or wait? how much longer?" and hodlers are smiling "have patience, poor child, you have only planted it five minutes ago".

I'm sure though he meant something different by that picture, but it fits well :)

Oh, and on-topic, did what any sane person should've done that day, bought some.

I have a little sold long ago had 425LTC hacked off BTC-e so I sold my BTC on Gox because of it back when Dwolla was still an option. Everything is gravy from here out. Regardless of how much BTC drops it will never die. I hope everyone makes $ off their investment but please keeps coins for purchase and use it for what it is intended for.

I had tons of fun watching the rally from $340 to above $420.
Too low to sell much, I am expecting an up move to at least $500.

I'm thinking this is another bounce on a bigger downward trajectory.   I sold most around 480 earlier in the week, bought yesterday from 420 down to 360 where I ran out of fiat.  Sold a bit in the 450's today, with sell orders at 470, 480, and 500 levels, hoping to catch a upswing before it takes the next bounce down to rebuy upper 200's.

I could be wrong, who knows.  It's a fun game regardless.

Had the same question this morning.

I decided to go with LTC. Made ~$1100 in the last 14-15 hours. Enjoying the waves.

In FIAT right now. Waiting another hour and 47 minutes. China waking up.

Guess they gonna dump for about 1-2 hours, then try to get the prices back.

( More coins = More fiat, so I'd say LTC?)

Here's another one from Ferdinand Hodler (1853 - 1918). Well ahead of his time, he propagated the art of hodling through his paintings, as for example in this early masterpiece called "HODL!!!!!!!".

I only used microwavable popcorn for a stoner game of basketball back in college. You set two empty glasses inside, put some corns in the center, and watch the action. Whoever's glass gets more balls loses, seemed like fun back then... ;) That was the safest one of the games.

Yeah, if last week taught me any lessons they'd be :

1. Don't try to chase the roller coaster on BitcoinWisdom unless you want to lose your pants rapidly.
2. If you're panicking about the price, stop and ask yourself why you are panicking. If it's because:

Situation A: You will lose tons of money if things don't improve - tons of lost money you needed for living expenses and such: it's already taking up too much of your portfolio and downsizing your hold is a perhaps a reasonable thing to do.

Situation B: You will lose money if things don't improve - but money that you didn't already need/depend on: you're getting greedy, stop getting your jimmies rustled over the price and chill out.

I realized I was in Situation B after selling off and was lucky enough to see that the market was willing to forgive me (and then some).

TLDR: I'm hodling
