Post by: Kiki112 on April 14, 2014, 04:47:06 PM
Can someone explain how a wallet bug and a forum bug can be the same bug? xD

Anyways, did you change your password or not? :)

I don't think I was affected by this but I'm not sure so I'll be changing my password asap.  gonna have to keep better record of my passwords and making them stronger.

The heartbleed wasn't a wallet bug but a problem with encryption that just effected both websites and wallets.

It affected both (and many more sites) because it was a flaw in OpenSSL which is used by this forum and Bitcoin. It enabled attackers to access small amounts of data from memory every couple of cycles which meant potentially passwords and private keys could be exposed.

Anything that used OpenSSL which includes mobile devices so I would think that includes apple products.

I doubt it affected forum. The attacker would need control of the forum server so he can be connected to you to exploit OpenSSL

This is really frustrating. I have changed my password. What a nuisance? This is the 6th time that I am changing the password in this forum. The hackers will rot in hell.  ;D
