Title: WetSeals
Post by: keysersoze67 on April 14, 2014, 05:16:47 PM
User WetSeals is a SCAMMER. Do NOT sell to him without escrow!
He "purchased" a $250 ThinkGeek gift certificate from me for $200 without escrow. I agreed to send him the certificate code PRIOR to him sending the BTC.
Never received any BTC.
Do NOT sell to him without escrow!!

That's what you get for selling carded gift codes.

That's what you get for selling carded gift codes.

You're the second person to say that to me, and I still do not know what it means. They are digital codes, not physical cards. I am going to assume that that's what you mean.

he means the gift cards were originally purchased using stolen credit cards, thus why people sell them cheaper.

some legit people do sell giftcards cheaper as they are unwanted gifts etc etc... but this forum generally labels everyone as a scammer, pretty much because everyone is a scammer.

serious question here - why did you provide the goods before receiving payment?

it appears I was scammed as well by Wetseals. yesterday I made the mistake of confusing him on skype with a user I had previously had successful trading history with and I made a trade with him for Americas Cardroom poker money for btc, My $1050 for his 2.1btc without escrow (compounded mistake).
I sent $ on ACR to his account named abonded and he sent me nothing.
he has since stopped responding to my skype messages.
his skype name is john.muncie1 it says he's from eugene oergon and work for overstock but who knows.

do not trade with him!
