Title: Cheap Heavycoin mining Post by: colltt on April 15, 2014, 07:44:33 AM I've spent last 3 months researching crypto-currencies, altcoins and their algorithms. Tried scrypt, scrypt-n, keccak and HEFTY1. I don't know why heavycoin is so unpopular, but mining HEFTY1 produces lowest heat on my r9 280x rig. I'm saving money (electricity) and cards at the same time (cooling, noise). With full speed (~85MH/s) coolers spinining only at 40% in 25C environment. Even with huge price drop, heavycoin worth more than $0.01.
