Title: Mining Alt coins with my laptop......Possible???
Post by: Matheltu on April 15, 2014, 10:41:10 AM
Hello All,

I am just wondering a simple question. Are there any alt coins that I can mine with my CPU ( my laptop)?
I have cg miner installed, I am not sure if that helps the cause or not....
I have a Fujitsu T900 Lifebook

SPECS:

Notebook: Fujitsu Lifebook T900 (Lifebook T Series)
Processor: Intel Core i5 520M
Graphics Adapter: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics
Display: 13.3 inch, 16:10, 1280x800 pixels, glossy: no
Weight: 2.38kg
Price: 1500 euro

Also I am not sure if this matters but this computer has pretty much every software program that can fit on the computer lol
---Roughly $25k in software

If anyone has any information that could help me out it would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you

You can but don't expect much return and be warned many laptops have died while mining due to overheating.

price is not a spec

Your graphic card is not worth anything, that micro for mining neither... dont risk to burn your pretty laptop mining coins, you will get some cents, and risking too much.

Honestly dude, it's not worth risking it overheating for the return you're likely get get from mining with it.
