I personally go for PC, even though the Wii U does bring back good old memories. However, Steam sales and such always beat my wallet, which would end up being even worse than if I had either an Xbox One or a PS4. I would definitely buy a PS4 over an Xbox One if I were forced to, though. Share your opinions.

EDIT: If you vote for Xbox One, I really do want to hear your opinion.

For current generations - PC, hands down. The whole console race has just gotten silly. I remember a time when consoles offered a different experience than PC gaming, and competing consoles were very different. Nowadays they just keep making the consoles more and more like PCs so what is the point?

The N64 was my all-time favorite console.

The other thing is, some games (especially 2D ones) used to be fun to play with a console controller. But nowadays, they have this crazy shit with like 2 joysticks and it's basically trying to emulate a computer, it makes no damn sense why not just use a computer? I especially don't understand the FPS games... dude how can you possibly be happier fucking around with those two fucking joysticks over using a mouse and keyboard for FPS? ???

I spent my entire life till last year playing on PC , but had no choice but to switch to console because of the again and again buying new parts changing parts  so i switched to console because its easy all you had to do is just put the dvd and play nothing else ,, so its easy with console

Many games on consoles require to install games on hard drives to reduce loading times. Also pc games are often cheaper than the console ones. And the independent games are a lot easier to make for pc so there are a lots of them.

The PC. You can make it go faster than a console. Make your own games. And it allows more customization.

I agree that you can do lots of customization on a PC but i still prefer XBox. I rolls with linux so a console is what's left.  ;)

The consoles have improved and gaming on them feels good for a change, but PC it is for me. A powerful setup is what I prefer.

PC is the ultimate gaming console of all time. Just dont be deceived by marketing nonsense. It is better choice for advanced users and easy to setup for beginners.

Prefer PC gaming but have an Xbox 360 that I'm favoring right now.

I been a console fan only reason cause I dont have a controller or big bucks to buy a gaming rig, but what is gonna give pc edge of the consoles is the fact that you can play oculus rift,  now this is a technlogy that takes gaming to a whole new level, kinect is gargabe compared to this

I know that PC is not just console. It is something much more and capable of doing things that consoles can not do. Open architecture of PC is key to be a better utility overall, PC is able to do stuff consoles can not.
PC is not a console and yet we are comparing gaming capabilities of these devices. That is why in my opinion PC gaming is better than consoles gaming. Making it a better 'console'.

My favorite current-gen console is the Wii U, because I've always loved Nintendo :). Since i was a kid I've played Nintendo games, from Kirby to Mario. And i think it's the best current-gen console because it has backwards capability.

It has backward compatibility with like what? Wii? You can't play games made on Nintendo 64 with it. On PC you can play games which are like 20 years old or older even.

I still really don't understand the reason for PS4 and Xbox One existing at this stage. Ok the Wii I kind of understand because they go in a very different route with that platform and they kind of revolutionized the whole moving around interacting with the game concept. That godfather game for Wii (The Black Hand I think it was called?) was pretty sweet, you could bitch slap people by flicking the remote.

But back on topic, what the hell does PS3/4 or Xbox 360/One have over a PC? It's like the same shit but with worse controls. Let's get real here.

It's all about games (exclusives) and marketing. And to be honest consoles are a bit easier for casual gamers.

That's circular though - publishers wouldn't make agreements to produce exclusive titles if gamers didn't support unnecessary consoles. The real question is, why are gamers still buying Xboxes and Playstations when they can have a better gaming experience on a computer? If they didn't buy the consoles and sales dropped, the game companies would go full PC mode in a heartbeat.

Sadly some of the newest PCs games by the big publishers are not as good as Pac-man, Combat, or even Pong.

PC without doubt, find it much easier using a keyboard/mouse than a controller.

Oldschool console wise I like the original NES and Atari Jaguar  ;D

PC is the way to go. It has better graphics and more powerful plus it gives you the option to custom built your own machine.  ;D

and you could just buy gamepads if want to try the console experience.  :D

PC of course, has all the advantages.
-you can connect a tv and a pad to it if you like console style
-you can play strategies with your mouse and keyboard
-allows for multi screen setup, eyefinity
-if it starts to become slow just buy a new GPU and you're set
-you can run all kinds of old games and emulators

I only have a imac, and split the os with windows 7.

Play league of legends since its free and fun lol.
