Title: Incorrect genesis block?
Post by: bryancoin on April 16, 2014, 10:29:41 PM

Hey guys,

When I try to open my wallet (bitcoin core 0.9.1) I get the message ''Incorrect or no genesis-block located. Wrong datamap for traffic?''

Anybody knows how I can open my wallet again

Thanks!

So I deleted everything in the blocks folder
and also the chainstate folder

Now it has to synchronise 275 weeks!!

and If I just delete the cainstate folder it wouldnt let me open

isnt there a way to prevent this

your block database is corrupt. the only solution is to redownload all the blocks. it might be faster to download the blockchain data torrent (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0) and use that, than to sync using the regular client.
