Title: Re: Newbie in Bitcoin Post by: Chemistry1988 on April 20, 2014, 04:11:22 PM Hello and welcome to bitcointalk.
The best way to learn about bitcoin is to read the bitcoin wiki and this forum :) Title: Re: Newbie in Bitcoin Post by: techgeek on April 20, 2014, 04:48:14 PM Most can be found on this forum, but I do understand that this forum is hard to navigate now due to spam.
Heres some check list: -figure out which bitcoin wallet to get -what are the current best methods of getting free bitcoin (if any) -figure how to back up your wallet balance: common problem, people back up the wallet dat and cant upload the balance of a .dat file due to obvious reasons. (search this) Theres more basics that you need to consider before anything. Title: Re: Newbie in Bitcoin Post by: dougg on April 20, 2014, 11:33:37 PM All I have to say is whatever you do on this forum, use reputable escrow like escrow.ms = that can insure you will not get scammed.
Also avoid all the people who mention not using escrow, or the reasons not to use one. Title: Re: Newbie in Bitcoin Post by: mac2k13 on April 21, 2014, 04:02:38 AM Hey guys I am new here. Title: Re: Newbie in Bitcoin Post by: brianbbad on May 16, 2014, 09:49:11 PM My advice would be to start making online connections via Twitter. Follow @bryceweiner and find the other people on Twitter he communicates with who are active in the bitcoin community. Also, if you ever have used Meetup.com, there are bitcoin meetups all over the place.
