Title: Mining with this connection Post by: Twipple on April 19, 2014, 10:31:12 AM Hey everyone, just wanted some advice from experienced and existing miners as to whether my internet connection is suitable for a miner.
I am from the UK and I use something which is called a mobile broadband router so it's not a fixed ISP connection, it's connected to a network called EE. It's 4G and it's pretty fast. I'm looking into purchasing some mining hardware and rigging it up but I'm unsure if it will work on my connection. Does anybody else mine with a 4G mobile broadband connection? Any help is more than appreciated. Using a TP-Link Router converted to have the USB port act as the WAN connection I have a script to check as well if it goes down and to auto reconnect so I don't have to watch it all the time Been working fine for months now :) Title: Re: Mining with this connection Post by: Equate on April 19, 2014, 11:13:50 AM I have mined on 32 KBps to 1MBps connection. As far as connection is stable without any frequent disconnects , mining will be fine.

This means even when the speed of your mobile internet is decreased to 64kbit/s you will still be very fine. Just plug in a surfstick, configuration is easy via the router webinterface. Then you have 4 ethernet ports and if you need more, you can add a switch.
