Just to confirm, this does not change the specs of the coin at all, is compatible to the original client and will not cause a fork? If so, great!!!  :D
-edit- sent a little thankyou!

I've also updated qubitchain.info explorer with this version.

Yes, everything is the same except the checkpoint, QR codes and heartbleed changes. No forking of the blockchain.

I tried to compile the windows wallet using the same versions of the libraries to keep everything compatible. I ran the new wallet on my original wallet.dat and blockchain files and they seem to be compatible.

Note: As a precaution, always backup your wallet before making any changes!

Cool!

I have changed the .pro file to get the build on OSX working.

http://mine-coin.de/wallets/QubitCoin-Qt.dmg
Please test it. It's synched with my old blockchain and wallet.da

The changed source is available at:
https://github.com/whatevercode/QubitCoin

I will create a pull request.

The link is right there in the OP's first post. It seems ok. The wallet is good since it has inbuilt mining and the coin is new so the difficulty low so if you want to try mining you should do so now.
