Title: [Solved] NFC initiated transactions on android 4.4.2
Post by: gimme_bottles on April 19, 2014, 02:05:54 PM
Hello,

I tried sending to an address via an NFC tag, but it did not work for me with the latest version of Bitcoin Wallet.

On the tag I have a bitcoin URI, but when I am in the 'Send Bitcoins...' dialog and come close to the tag, the default Android dialog opens and shows the bitcoin URI.

Has anyone successfully started a transaction via NFC on Android 4.4.2?

Cheers,

Figured it out by myself, the card was written with a Text record. After setting the type of the record to URI everything worked fine.

Yes, or you could write a mime record with a BIP70 formatted payment request if you like.
