To decrease the price of the miner, I will provide a hosting plan here. You can buy one miner at the price of 3350$ now(start to mine for you from 30 March), and I will host this miner locally in china, I have co-operate with a data center to supply as much as 150-200 miners. We are talking about a 24 hour security (multiple redundant power systems, back-up generators, controlled room temperature, powerful air-condition) professional data center. Our hardware is getting the coldest spot in the house, and will be well supervised!  Do the math this is a good deal with upside.  I  paid with a paypal cc .  2750 + 110 (op's paypal  fee ) = 2860

2 % discount on my cc = 2803 up front hash in an hour or so.   after 30 days pay for 225 hosting fee. pay the hosting fee each 30 days.

If you are looking at btc vs. btc, it might not.  If you compare fiat to fiat and can handle the risk of failure to pay "insurance", then this makes sense.  Besides, using a credit card through paypal keeps you covered.  My card covers transactions up to a year (man paypal hates that!) :)

I was notified by btcguild that my miner has been down for more then 1 hour .  please correct this.

seems to be something wrong with hash rate on my miner  at btcguild    I have dropped to   787GH vs 995-1025GH

Dragon1 is the hosted one.  Dragon 2 is at my office.  Dragon2's front panel almost always says 1.01-1.07TH/s.

Still no SSH access though, but that might dangerous to people who don't know what they're doing.

Its just a bit frustrating given BTC price going up to $500 today and you might be waiting for a few BTC payout from the pool so you can take advantage of the price differential, damn bad timing :(

with the summer coming having him host for me has been a good move. He has done a good job so far.

But will it ROI? I'm itching on investing but even the S2 group buy @ 1650$ seem to ROI in in around 140 days and make 0.7 profit this year if all stars align.

Calculations made from 1 June, 2000$ VAT included, 500 BTC price and a 10% step increase.

My worry is that it will never be profitable again. Sure the BTC can go to 800$ next month but I doubt the manufacturers will not increase prices.

Everybody wanted "in stock" gear. Now we have it but low risk = low reward.

A: it is the buyer who own the miner and you just host in my place. You need at least host it in my place for one month, then you are free to ask me to ship it to your place. But you need cover the shipment fee.
