Doing this to the B of Bitcoin should be criminal.

Agreed.  Stop trying to change the logo dummies.

It doesn't look better, and only an idiot would go with a logo that includes an inverted cross, when they're trying to vie for mainstream adoption.

And this honey badger video is *way* better:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg

perhaps the alternate logo announces the evil twin of Bitcoin, a malevolent presence making itself known...

Why the hell does the logo need changing anyways? Who came up with this?

I read it was to do with it being a recognised symbol or in unicode or something of the like.

Well we have this: BTC already. So why change it

Because it's not Unicode and therefore can't easily by typed or something.

Both have pros and cons, I personally don't really care all that much

Haha. Is this propoganda for the new Bitcoin logo that they're trying to push?

While it would take some effort BTC could be added to Unicode, there is an established process for doing it...

Love a good honey badger stew...

It's not a simple or fast process, I would think that it would be best undertaken by the foundation or another industry group:

Haha, I had to laugh, this sign looks like it is in the most random of places.  The guy who put it up is probably a BTC millionaire too.  :)

The current bitcoin logo looks ghastly and almost unintelligible in print. Like a squashed bug.

If Bitcoin was a physical object, it would have the ability to change elemental form.

Meaning, Bitcoin would today be roughly "bronze", and in six months will be "silver", and a year later Bitcoin will be "gold", and another year later a BTC will be a flawless, 3 lb diamond.

Another good metaphor for Bitcoin - Dragons. They start small, but quickly grow beyond control...
