While human interpretation is handy in our daily life as the brain complete, and interpret things it didn't get enough data to have a clear vision, and try to relate to what's normal to it, this interpretation can mislead people badly, and it is the case, here, that either a wave due to some bird landing on the surface of water for example, or something in the sky smog or something.

As Neil Degrass Tyson calls it, these are brain failures
this documentary is a good introduction to this matter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWg0cWFQiiY

It's not real unless Google tells us so! I wonder if Google maps has this same image when it passed over.

according to legend a giant eel tooth was found embedded in a sheep's bone by the loch. the legend also says that a lucky eel at the end of its life cycle has its ancient dna triggered and that it grows into a giant monster. the monster is said to live on land for weeks at a time to hunt large game.

I doubt it. It's as unlikely as a photo of Yeti or UFO.

Surely some ships or subs would have had an encounter with it.

Just another lame attempt to garner some PR for the Apple maps. But I am not falling in to this. I have been so disgusted by Apple's anti-Bitcoin campaign that I have promised to never use any of their devices ever again. Go to hell... Apple Maps.

well said, I agree that this is one way to keep apple relivant in the current situation, especially that no one wants or heard of their product, except Apple users fanboys, and they are trying to turn the page for all the negative PR they've got at launch
