Post by: cuddaloreappu on April 21, 2014, 01:47:15 PM
I was watching this speech from the Global Bitcoin Conference 2013 in India. and came across  these words(Redistribution of wealth) at 1.15.

bitcoin is celebrated among libertarians but Redistribution of wealth is definitely not what is liked by libertarians, and if bitcoin really helps redistribution of wealth  how are they gonna look at it.
some people say the logical conclusion for redistribution of wealth is communism...

Is bitcoin left or right?

While Bitcoin has a lot of libertarian principles, it is not just for Libertarians.

This was what formed part of that speech.

Don't we love to connect everything to everything else. The e-cash program has been in works since the 80s - double spend, security etc were the major roadblocks. BTC resolved many issue via its implementation. I am just get amazed when people start to analyze libertarian angle of it. Its a piece of software, it is defined by how you use it. If we are going to look it that way, how about now that bitcoin can mined successfully in a farm with lots of money. Does it make it capitalist?
